Oky Posted September 22, 2008 Posted September 22, 2008 You can only start back at the beginning of the level, even if saved. Odd; the game lets me restart from the last time it saved (i.e. mid-level) when I quit/die. This is on PS3, are you on Wii? Yeah, I have it for the Wii too, and every time I exit the game and go back into it later, I start the level over as well. But when I die while I'm still playing and get "revived", I just go back to the last checkpoint. I think that's normal (for the Wii version) and there's no way to change that. Don't know what happened to your boss. Must have been a glitch. Did you try defeating him again? I hope that doesn't happen to me when I get there! Are you saying, The Kid, that when you turn on your PS3 and start playing the game, you start off at the last checkpoint where you saved? If so, that's kinda unfair for the Wii version owners. Oh well, the Wii version still rocks! Quote
The Kid Posted September 22, 2008 Posted September 22, 2008 That's exactly what I'm saying It's crashed twice though; the first time the screen froze but it still allowed me to pause/save/restart checkpoint, the second time everything crashed and I had to switch off the console from the back. Also lagged quite a bit earlier, but pausing it for a few seconds fixed that. Otherwise there's been no problems other than a few sound errors where the sound hasn't quite matched the image in the in-game scenes (such as a guard departing a shuttle). Nothing to affect the gameplay itself, though. Overall it's an excellent game, with a story (so far) that's three times the plot of the prequel trilogy - it leaves you guessing at every turn and is really unpredictable; you don't know what's coming next! The graphics are beautiful as well; in the cut-scenes they're almost - and very nearly - film quality. The expression on the character's faces is remarkable. Based on what I've played so far, the game gets a 9 from me - losing a point due to the technical bugs and objects/bodies/lightsaber damage fading. Plus, there's no dismemberment. However, that might raise to 10 once I see the ending TK Quote
SWMAN Posted September 22, 2008 Posted September 22, 2008 I decided to just got back and fight him again, but I had to stop before I could, and accidently turned the game off instead of leaving the Wii on and just turning off the TV and receiver. Now, I have to start the level for the third time. Ugh. Quote
Zaktan of the Shadows Posted September 23, 2008 Posted September 23, 2008 Looks like a great game! The euphoria is great. -ZotS Quote
darkrebellion Posted September 25, 2008 Posted September 25, 2008 Well after some weeks of wait I finally be able to pick this game up and I need to said is is pretty cool. I bought it for the Wii and like mostly everyone said the gameplay of the Wii is fantastic especially the force powers but in te graphic level I need to said I am a bit dissapointed. I know the Wii can´t have graphics like the PS3 or 360 but well at least they could have try to give us graphics like the Twilight Princess ones which are pretty good . I am just finishing defeat Ramh Kota and the story goes pretty good at least at this moment. My final comments are good gameplay, good story but bad graphics. I need to play more to make a final veredict in the game so I will continue playing. Quote
SWMAN Posted September 25, 2008 Posted September 25, 2008 One thing I am disappointed with besides the graphics for the Wii is the levels are a little short. On both the Jedi Temple levels, it feels like you only beat a few stormtroopers before the bosses. Quote

I mean, c'mon, even the Jedi Temple in Battlefront II is bigger than this! Quote
darkrebellion Posted September 26, 2008 Posted September 26, 2008 Now I played a bit more and I am at Felucia (Don´t begin it but I hope to do so tomorrow) and I have played 2:35 hours, I don´t know if I am doing this so fast or not but the game is just running so fast . I like more the level of Raxus Prime than the shipyard one and I really, really the battle with the Junk Titan (Please TLC release this one into a set) and Kazdan Paratus is pretty cool. The graphics are turning to be better for some reason (I really hate the graphics of the Kasshykk level ) and they don´t look that bad at this moment . The only thing that really seems a bit off is that all the boss battles are way easy (Except the Junk Titan and Darth Phobos ). Quote
The Rancor Posted September 26, 2008 Posted September 26, 2008 I just used a cheat to get all the costumes in the game instantly and you can use them any time you like and the game will still save! (No, of course I'm not going to tell you the code! ) Quote
hewkii9 Posted September 26, 2008 Posted September 26, 2008 MASTERMIND gives you the Emperor. And you can only have 2 cheat-code-unlocked costumes at once on the PS3. Quote
The Rancor Posted September 26, 2008 Posted September 26, 2008 MASTERMIND gives you the Emperor. And you can only have 2 cheat-code-unlocked costumes at once on the PS3. No, I'm not joking, the code I used was a special code from GAME for preordering the Force Unleashed. I can wear any costume, anytime. Quote
Oky Posted September 26, 2008 Posted September 26, 2008 (edited) OK, so I beat the game, but now I realized that I have a problem. Some days ago, I used the cheat code that gives you the Mace Windu costume. I read somewhere that playing through the campaign once unlocks all but one of the duel mode characters, and that you have to play through it again and get the other ending to get that remaining character. But I'm missing two characters, and Mace is one of them! Now I am suspecting that using that cheat code to unlock the costume disabled the unlocking of the duel mode character. Can somebody please help me? I really want Mace in duel mode! Is there someway to undo the entering of cheat codes? Or do you think starting a new game and playing through it without entering the code will unlock him? Unfortunately, starting the game over (on the same save) with all the force powers etc. does not work. EDIT: Never mind. My friend figured it out somehow. Now I have all characters and costumes. SWMAN Posted September 27, 2008 Posted September 27, 2008 One thing that goes along with the graphics that was really annoying was the fact that on Raxus Prime during the cut scene where you bring down the Star Destroyer, the graphics are terrible. It doesn't even look like you are doing anything to it. The graphics look really old. All that shows that it is being destroyed is some weird pieces flying off. I think that Lucasarts sacrificed too much when it came to graphics during cut scenes to get better graphics during the game. Quote
darkrebellion Posted September 27, 2008 Posted September 27, 2008 (edited) I played more of the game yesterday and now I am in Corrupted Felucia with 4:34 hours of play . I think the game is pretty cool the only fact that I don Edited September 27, 2008 by darkrebellion Quote
hewkii9 Posted September 27, 2008 Posted September 27, 2008 I really enjoy the Nar Shadda Cantina level but to be honest both Kasshyyk levels are way boring . Well I will continue playing today . That's Cloud City, my friend Quote
Oky Posted September 28, 2008 Posted September 28, 2008 Does anyone know how to get the alternate ending yet? Is there anything special you have to do, or do you just need to play it a second time? Quote
hewkii9 Posted September 28, 2008 Posted September 28, 2008 Does anyone know how to get the alternate ending yet? Is there anything special you have to do, or do you just need to play it a second time? Just play the Death Star level again, but at the end fight either Palpatine [run forward] or Vader [jump off the side], whichever one you didn't do before. Quote
SWMAN Posted September 28, 2008 Posted September 28, 2008 I wanted to get the light side canon ending and figured you had to fight Vader , so I did. The dark side one was interesting, so now I have to go back through the Death Star level, which is pretty hard, and fight Palpatine . Quote

The dark side one was interesting, so now I have to go back through the Death Star level, which is pretty hard, and fight Palpatine . Don't worry - I found Palpy a lot easier than Vader - he summons guards every now and then, so you can heal a bit during the fight. Quote
Oky Posted September 29, 2008 Posted September 29, 2008 Wait... I'm confused. When I played it the first time, I fought Vader and Palpy. First Vader, then, after I beat him and he ended up all damaged like the minifig from the Rogue Shadow, I had to fight the emperor. And it didn't seem like I had any choice. After I beat Palpy (who didn't summon any guards), I got an ending with the apprentice sacrificing himself to save his friends from the emperor. This was on the Wii. Is the Wii version different in that point? If so, how do you get the alternate ending on the Wii? Quote
Navy Trooper Fenson Posted September 29, 2008 Posted September 29, 2008 On the PS3 / XBox360 version is a little bridge, that leads to Palpi. When you jump down, on the right side, you can fight the battle damaged Vader again. I don´t know how the levels are designed on the Wii, but there should be a cutscene that shows where Vader is laying. Then find out where this point is. Quote
hewkii9 Posted September 29, 2008 Posted September 29, 2008 Really? No guards? Well I'm on the PS3, so... And the dark side ending involves you fighting Vader twice, like Fenson said. Quote
SWMAN Posted September 30, 2008 Posted September 30, 2008 (edited) You can choose to fight either Vader of Palpatine, and one will get you one ending and the other the other ending. I am a little disappointed that the two different endings only comes down to deciding who to fight at the end of the game. I was hoping it was more like KOTOR, where your decisions throughout the game would factor in. Still, it would be hard to do that with such a linear game as this. simonjedi Posted October 3, 2008 Posted October 3, 2008 I'm thinking of picking it up for the PS2, anyone got the game for that system and how does it play? Quote
