maydayartist Posted November 17, 2013 Posted November 17, 2013 Hi everyone, we have had a big convention one year ago in cologne. And for this we decide to rebuild the old city of cologne after one member of our club build the cologne cathedrale. The complete rebuild is done in 1:50 and has a size of 10x9 meters over all. This is one picture of a paper model of cologne and all sharp parts are done for now. One part of it is the row house street "Am Bollwerk" This was my part and I try to rebuild it exactly. The second building from left is done in light yellow and was very difficult to collect. I try to make pictures from the same angle to compare original and rebuild. Now we show our big layout on different places like the cologne city hall, a shopping mall and so on. have a nice evening Phil Quote
eurotrash Posted November 17, 2013 Posted November 17, 2013 Superb! There's great attention to detail and I like the fact that you've shown pictures of the original as comparison - you've done an excellent job. How long did it take to produce this? Quote

L@go Posted November 17, 2013 Posted November 17, 2013 Wow. I saw the cathedral and some of the other buildings on display at Fanwelt a year ago, but I never thought you were planning to extend the layout even further. This is highly impressive - how big is it going to get? Quote

michaelozzie Posted November 18, 2013 Posted November 18, 2013 An amazing moc of my favourite German city to visit. The attention to detail is superb, well done. Quote
Holodoc Posted November 18, 2013 Posted November 18, 2013 I have seen you wonderful MOC in Cologne last year at Fanwelt and in Cologne once more in the old city hall some months ago. I haven't seen any MOC being so close to the original like yours. One more thing: When I tell about people more crazy than me and incredible MOC's you and your creation is the first I mention. A true *****-MOC. Is Groß-St. Martin new? I can't recall seeing it before. Quote
Chocolatecake Posted November 18, 2013 Posted November 18, 2013 Impressive buildings, they really looks like the real buildings, even those details you don't see from the street. May I ask how many bricks you have used? Quote
kermit Posted November 19, 2013 Posted November 19, 2013 Awesome. So many different types of buildings and they all look amazing. Quote
