xenologer Posted April 3, 2007 Posted April 3, 2007 http://www.knex.com/bricks/index.php :-D Looks like K'nex finally realized that their fancy 'tinkertoys' just weren't fun to play with. They're giving up and adding lego-style bricks. I'm amused by how in the past Lego did this the other direction, with Z'nap and found that same lesson... Quote
Zaktan of the Shadows Posted April 3, 2007 Posted April 3, 2007 I noticed this too. That is a complete rip-off of Lego. -ZotS Quote
Optimax X Posted April 3, 2007 Posted April 3, 2007 Another one? My, why can't these stupid companies come up with THERE OWN ideas instead of ripping off another company?! I used to like K'nex, but after seeing this, i feel quite angry >:-( Quote
Zarkan Posted April 3, 2007 Posted April 3, 2007 Well, Megablocks is one thing to me (At least they have some interesting stuff and good pieces), and I don't blame them for using the concept. (The one thing I actually agree with Calvin on! X-D ) But this, this is way too far. I mean, look at these new hybrids! Complete utter crud, with horrible colors, lousy designs, and no use for any serious fans (who wants to combine their lego collection with K-nex?). :-X Bah, Knex is okay, especially for really big models (I have some Knex myself!), but this is just pointless and will undoubtedly do nothing to help Knex and its sales. :-| Quote
Trionx Posted April 4, 2007 Posted April 4, 2007 OMG, I saw this when I was browsing in a few stores :-X I really don't think this is going anywhere, (hopefully *sad* ) Quote
JoeMI6 Posted April 4, 2007 Posted April 4, 2007 To be honest, this is just business. Yeah, it's a ton of megablocks ( ;-) ) but there's not a lot we can do about it unless it's directly copying lego. Quote
Corvus Posted April 7, 2007 Posted April 7, 2007 This is just sad... Yet, this could be funny when it turns back on them. Quote
