Well so yes. This is the ship that is going to eventually be finished and EVENTUALLY have a structure that is the same instead of 3 different styles on the walls of the hull of her.....

I enclose a few pictures and will add more when i get chance and when i get back onto building again.

^^^ Part of the treasure. Initial indications from previous build attempts show that she should hold approximately 100 of these coins. Easily.

The hull is of a BSB (same as my brig sloop of war) and she will have 2 decks. Arguably 3 as the area above the cargo hold will be treated as a third deck surface to gain access to the fore and aft areas of the ship.

The lower deck is the gun deck. I chose to have the lower deck as the gun deck rather then then upper deck as it allows for more damange to be inflicted on the lower hull, you try floating when your hulls full of tastey big holes!!!!

dscn0694.jpg_thumb.jpg

The next deck is the cargo deck for the main treasure in coins and there will be a stash of several treasure chests full of gold and rubys too...

dscn0693.jpg_thumb.jpg

In the pic ^^ you can see the storage technique i'm using to contain the coins and then there will be a cover/roof over the top of the coins to keep them all secure, there is a ladder built into the wall at the end and on the side of the section that is built there though its difficult to make out at the moment due to all the black lego... Down the centre is a walkway which contains additional arms stored here out of the way but within easy reach if needed to repell borders!!!!! Only one deck section is there at the moment.

I started off with the tumbledown effect starting on the lower deck leading into a vertical section of hull above but i decided i didnt like this look so i changed it for the other side and i have a vertical wall with large gun port covers so as to give the impression from afar that there are infact no cannons, a nice suprise to be waiting any pirates that get near without being noticed by the escort!

dscn0696.jpg_thumb.jpg

N last but not least, for this post at least.... The captains cabin/armoury.....

dscn0692.jpg_thumb.jpg

There are steps running down one side from the main deck to the cabin and then going down another level to the gun deck (which did i mention is very spacious and altogether more pleasant than on the escort ship even though it doesn't contain quite as many cannons! The captains cabin (currently manned by a civil war general who got a lil lost in the grand scheme of time but thats not so bad as the computers and sophisticated GPS and tactical radio systems hes using to stay in contact with his guardian ship!!!!!!!! But i guess we'll get around that somehow. Dodgey dealings with the admiral on the other ship could be related perhaps??

I'm open to suggestions, as you can see theres a fair bit of work to be done and i have now run out of sloping pieces for the walls. 8-|

What an interesting design! It looks like an old west ship! This actually could be an interesting subtheme ;-)

I can't really see anything too well since the gallery doesn't seem to exist...but I like what I see, though it needs to be finished of course. keep us updated *y*

Admiral Wig,

Here is the ship your brig sloop will be escorting. Thank you for sharing. She has quite the treasure, and seems to be well armed and able to fend for herself if needed. I like the gun spacing in this ship, as I prefer at least 4 studs between port holes for nonMOC cannons. You have a nice tumblehome affect too.

Are you presenting this to us as it will be made, or are you looking for constructive assistance from fellow MOCers?

Do you have plans to have this ship in the same pre-steam-engine era as most of us, or is this going to be a mix of what resources you have?

Do you have some overall pictures of the entire ship from different views?

A LEGO ship may have limited a rather cargo hold, so I'm wondering exactly how many of these coins fit inside your ship?

Oh i would say you could have a lot of cargo in a lego ship if the ship isn't armed to the teeth X-D

It could be a treasure galleon of the US with a GPS system and satelite telephone

Well........ Let me see. My ship is a somewhat random affair. I'm not sure which time period it would fall into. I'd prefer to think of bob the time bandit (see other ship and the dodgey looking explorer with the earpiece whos meeting with the admiral) and blame him for the mysterious additions to the ship. I.E. GPS etc.

She only has one gun deck. The second deck is dedicated to holding the

That must be why he is planning on storing them like this... If he can get 3 per stud, counting the space between studs... he can probably get around fifty in that area, maybe a little less.

So potentially he could raise the value of this ship by

I may remove the computery bits, its only a minor thing and easy to remove. The rest of the ship will be standard styling.

Though i must admit to being tempted by the minifig AK47's i found the other week on t'internet.

The ships value should be increased by
