Lordofdragonss Posted November 22, 2013 Posted November 22, 2013 I would but that coffeshop! Great colorsheme and the cup-logo! Quote
Yooha Posted November 22, 2013 Posted November 22, 2013 All of them are fantastic. My favorite is the hardware store, great idea! Quote
timmyc1983 Posted November 22, 2013 Posted November 22, 2013 Yeah, that coffee shop is outstanding! I love the way you've done the corner so different to any I've seen, i'll have to save up my money Quote
lightningtiger Posted November 22, 2013 Posted November 22, 2013 They are all just simply AWESOME......it's hard to chose between the coffee shop or menswear store then of course the tiger loves hardware stores.....any interior shots ? Brick On 'bcd' ! Quote
Hobbythom Posted November 22, 2013 Posted November 22, 2013 These are all very impressive but for me the Coffee bar steals the show. Really nice rendition of the industrial building-turned-retail trend that you see in many larger cities. I als like the way the grey mason bricks seems to make the red walls also more bricklike. Really cool! Quote
Hoexbroe Posted November 22, 2013 Posted November 22, 2013 They are all very nice. BUT: The "Smokestacks Coffeshop" is absolutly EXCELLENT! ;-) Quote
The Dutch Guy Posted November 22, 2013 Posted November 22, 2013 As always, some realy fine archetectural marvels there Brickcitydepot. The hardwear store is my favourite (should this be an election) Quote
glendo Posted November 22, 2013 Posted November 22, 2013 thank you for sharing. i will be in touch Quote
brickcitydepot Posted November 22, 2013 Author Posted November 22, 2013 thanks for the comments. The top 3 were built by my brother. The coffee shop sat on his desk for a long time as a rough draft with different colors and I wasn't digging it at all but he finally came back to it and turned it into something very nice looking. You should be able to see interior shots of these on flickr. I didnt want to post all the pictures here. Quote
eurotrash Posted November 22, 2013 Posted November 22, 2013 They're looking good! I think the coffee-shop is my favorite. Good luck with them... Time for another BL order! Quote
tomdobs55 Posted November 22, 2013 Posted November 22, 2013 They're looking good! I think the coffee-shop is my favorite. Good luck with them... Time for another BL order! But would you make it run-down and seedy like the rest of your awesome builds? Quote
eurotrash Posted November 22, 2013 Posted November 22, 2013 But would you make it run-down and seedy like the rest of your awesome builds? LOL! I think I'll turn the Coffee-shop into a Methadone clinic and the Call Center room a Tattoo parlour..... I'll post pictures if I do it. Quote
lomis Posted November 22, 2013 Posted November 22, 2013 Wow! I am a fan of the hardware store. The outside looks amazing and the truck looks good too. Quote
WaysofSorting Posted November 22, 2013 Posted November 22, 2013 I'm yet to build a big town modular - but these are great. I'm a big fan of the Smokestack Coffee shop also - not much more that can be said there, and the hardware store is great. But there's something in all of these I really enjoy. Could be all the little details that seem to tell a story that is greater than the sum of their parts - In the Menswear shop, for example, the air conditioners on the roof are great, and the sidewalk really tells a story of where this building would be - Same with the comedy shop - It's like the whole neighborhood is spoken for through these single buildings. Great job all around. Highly inspiring. Quote
TheLazyChicken Posted November 22, 2013 Posted November 22, 2013 Those Modular Buildings are all fantastic! Could you show us all of the modular buildings together? Thanks Keep up the good work! :-) Quote
TheLegoDr Posted November 23, 2013 Posted November 23, 2013 Neat ideas. I like that coffee shop, mostly because of the outdoor seating not taking away from the sidewalk. It makes the building smaller, but the facade still works well. Second favorite is the hardware store, but that is mostly for the truck. I love the coloring and design there. Quote
Wodanis Posted November 23, 2013 Posted November 23, 2013 Really liked the mensware shop as you have some interesting choices for the facade. The coffee shop looks great. Loving the fact you made these and I get to see them in the flesh instead of just the instructions Quote
antp Posted November 25, 2013 Posted November 25, 2013 Nice buildings. I really like the coffee shop! Quote
jimmynick Posted November 25, 2013 Posted November 25, 2013 Wow! There's nothing more really to say about these buildings. I love the coffee shop because it's a different implementation of the corner modular unit, having a recess with a patio outside. I also like the HVAC units on top of the Menswear Shop. Quote
The Jersey Brick Guy Posted November 25, 2013 Posted November 25, 2013 I bought their police station plans and they are absolutely fantastic! I am modifying their plans to make it fit on 2 32x32 plates, but that's another topic. I will buy that coffee shop in a heart beat. Quote
Temet Nosce Posted November 27, 2013 Posted November 27, 2013 I love the way the coffee shop looks like an old refurbished factory (from Manchester, UK at least) and the rest of the buildings are great too! Quote
Feuer Zug Posted October 8, 2015 Posted October 8, 2015 Cool buildings. They would be great additions to any modular town. Quote
