Posted November 23, 201311 yr Shiptember is a sort of tradition among Lego builders to build ships in September, and I thought it would be pretty cool to have something similar for the Technic community. Maybe something like "Supercar Spring," what are your thoughts?
November 23, 201311 yr I've never built a ship or boat with my lego but I like your idea. Why do lego builders build ships in september? H

November 24, 201311 yr I've never built a ship or boat with my lego but I like your idea. Why do lego builders build ships in september? H SHIPtember is building a SHIP aka Serious Huge Investment in Parts. Builds are spaceships at least 100 studs in length. Here is a poster of the SHIPs built in September of this year: SHIPtember 2013 Poster by armoredgear7, on Flickr
November 24, 201311 yr Hmm, I envy you guys that you have enough time in a month to finish something good. Or have the time to be well-timed. Because of the contest that's ongoing for more than a month now and I entered early, my life has been messed up a bit, just to be able to finish the entry in time. November 24, 201311 yr Very cool idea. I am fond of different traditions and it's wonderful when they can be connected with Lego, especially, with Technic. So, if we think about it and make such one, I'll be happy to create a model)
November 25, 201311 yr Author Here's an idea, how about Trucktober? Or Oktobertruck? That would be fun. Trucktober sound like a great idea, especially heading into the winter season
November 25, 201311 yr But that would be a year from now Quick, come up with something for December! I think it is a great idea, maybe we will see some developments :) In the meantime I'll try to think of something witty for December.

Ya, I also want something which will happen soon, maybe, in December or January. Edited November 25, 201311 yr by Energo
November 30, 201311 yr Author Thought of this idea today. 12/21/12, the end of the Mayan calendar, was last year. Maybe something like "The End of the World was n Years Ago" would be a cool theme, and it could progress every year (as the post-apoc civilizations progress, as the aliens take over, etc.).

Maybe something like "The End of the World was n Years Ago" would be a cool theme, and it could progress every year (as the post-apoc civilizations progress, as the aliens take over, etc.). There was an end of the world theme contest last year in the Eurobrick Action forum if I recall. Maybe a build a Technic clock or calendar month? A Time Tech month?
December 1, 201311 yr I like the idea of post-ap...It'll be very interesting to create things connected with such theme. Moreover, it's not a problem to combinate all liked themes some way.
December 1, 201311 yr I like post-apocalyptic too, makes me think of the post-ap vehicle by Zblj. I think it's a great idea, it's OK if two different subforums have the same theme for a contest IMO.
December 1, 201311 yr I like any idea that gives me a chance to create. The post apocalyptic theme has always been my thing in the past. Sci fi also appeals. I like the clock idea too. H
