I like the idea of JanAIRy ... and also Supercar Spring (which I guess would start in March ?)

I'd join in both of these

Also the Cargo Plane comes out in January, so the 'air' theme would work because of that too

Hi,

I love the idea of having some themed months. We can alternate the theme months with contests and have as much activity as possible.

Not sure about the theme though!

I do like JanAIRy :sweet: Then I have no excuse to finish my Chinookified 9396

I would like to think about this in a bit more detail.

First we need to select the theme:

  • SHIPTember
  • Supercar Spring
  • Trucktober
  • JanuAIRy FebruAIRy
  • New Years something
  • C-model month
  • Bustember
  • ...

Furthermore I would like to know what our goal would be? All of us build a MOC based on the theme? And in the end we all post our MOC in a dedicated thread?

Let me know what you guys think.

I have changed the title of this topic to be more generic.

Jim I suggested Bustember.....you know?..... :look:

I just scanned the topic a bit for themes, must have missed it. Added it to the list.

Personally I would like to go for JanuAIRy, possibly combined with FebruAIRy. Because of the Cargo Plane coming out.

But that still does not hide the fact that you need to get a pair of glasses.....

Skiptember?

Jim - yes love the idea of putting up a combined MOC thread for whatever the topic is

As to ideas...

JanuAIRy FebruAIRy- aircraft sound good

C model (you are only allowed to use parts from a chosen set, in my mind a small/medium new set ? H1 2014 release?... someone would need to post the parts list)

I would allow 1 perhaps 2 months for each topic

I was indeed thinking about two months, since one month is very short.

We could combine JanuAIRy/FebruAIRy with C-model, but that might be pushing it

Personally, I vote for a two month aviation themed thing.. Not necessarily a contest, as there would have to be many rules, but more like a "make anything aviation based, and show it to the masses!"

Anything from a small hang glider built out of axles and connectors, to huge helicopters and aircraft from the last 100 years:-)

My thoughts exactly!

Just some fun collective building time!

Ah I know exactly what to build in Jan-FebruAIRy!

So I'm voting for that! ;)

(Is it ok to build studded Model Team themes, With technic solutions?)

Of course! It's supposed to be for fun. Not too much rules and regulations!

I guess JanuFebruAIRy is on!

After closing the contest (this week) I will see if I can come up with something to make the theme month a bit more fun.

Wow, wow! I see, lots of people like the idea which is connected with aircraft...so...I like it, too) I have always wanted to build something like old plane of the period of II WW)

Anyway, I like all the ideas which are presented in this topic and I'll be glad to participate in every event connected with them :classic:

Exactly my idea! I've made a pretty big P51 in LDD so now I must build it!

Even though I like januAIRy and februAIRy it would be a bit to close for me now because I still have 3 MOCs to finish. Guessing they will have to be build rapidly this month or have to wait till this is over.

my opinions on the suggestions

  • SHIPTember nice idea
  • Supercar Spring don't really like it because I have never really liked the lego supercars but on the other side maybe building one by myself will change my opninion.
  • Trucktober there are already enough lego trucks
  • JanuAIRy FebruAIRy very good idea
  • New Years something like what?
  • C-model month could be fun
  • Bustember don't like it

i also think the aviation themed two month contest is the best, c model month could be a nice idea to

To be sure; it's not a contest. It's a period where we will collectively try to build one or more MOCs, based on this theme.

How about C model fun in MarCh and April ? After we've gone air mad!

Maybe we can turn this into a contest

If I understand correctly, you all appreciate a two month period for theme "month" or contest, right?

July /. August - summer fun / at the beach

Could be fun!
