Off the wall Posted November 24, 2013 Posted November 24, 2013 (edited) Well, it's about that time. And, appreciating the diversity of this website and not meaning to offend anyone, I'm referring to Christmas because that's what I, in my limited exposure to the world, am familiar with. For, those of other beliefs, chime in as I'm sure you have something on your gift receiving wish list. Well. What do you want for Christmas as far as Lego products go? How can Santa make YOU happy (okay, so stick to Lego stuff, eh?) I told my wife that I want the Star Wars Death Star. Not very Christmas like, and I don't even really follow or collect SW. But the piece count is so high and the build would take so long that I couldn't resist. If I'm lucky enough to get it, I'll build it, look at it for a few weeks and then give it to the kid down the street. Edited November 24, 2013 by Off the wall Quote
AFOLguy1970 Posted November 24, 2013 Posted November 24, 2013 My Christmas wish is to be the kid down the street For this year, I used some money from working overtime to buy modulars. This has taken the burden off my wife of finding me something. For Christmas 2014, I am hoping that the Hobbit sets will include a very large dragon. That would be great to build next year. Quote
TheLazyChicken Posted November 24, 2013 Posted November 24, 2013 (edited) I just want Pick-a-brick cups, baseplates, road plates and some of the coty and lego movie sets. Also a friends set and at least a set from Ninjago and Legends of Chima. The last thing is the Parasian Resturant. Edited November 25, 2013 by TheLazyChicken Quote
Off the wall Posted November 24, 2013 Author Posted November 24, 2013 My Christmas wish is to be the kid down the street Well, ya get old and your paradigm changes. Building Lego helps keep all of the gray matter working like it should. Plus, I get more enjoyment out of the kids reaction. The build is the big deal for me. Of course, I keep all of the modular buildings. Stuff like the current Lego Sopwith Camel are fun to build, but more fun to see the eyes of an eight year old light up when you present them with a nice Lego product. Quote
Cap't black brick Posted November 25, 2013 Posted November 25, 2013 #1 on my list is the Parisian Restaurant #2 is the new 2014 camper van #3 is the Galaxy Squad Star Slicer #4 is a large very large lot of random pieces to expand my dwindling collection Quote
Freddy Bricker Posted November 25, 2013 Posted November 25, 2013 Well I missed out on possibly everything I could have wanted from 2012, so here goes: #1: The Batcave #2: Jabba's Palace #3: Palpatine's Arrest #4: The Batmobile and the Two Face Chase #5: Catwoman catcycle city chase #6: Gungan Sub These should give a pretty general idea of my preferred themes, oh yeah, and I would also love the Ninjago Samurai mech. Curse you Lego for having such great designers, and my budget is pretty tight, so I'd like to not think about what I might not end up getting. Quote
brickbuilder711 Posted November 25, 2013 Posted November 25, 2013 1. Highway haulers city set 2. Friends Heartlake City High - Gotta get that sun-bleached yellow somehow! 3. PAB, PAB Holiday Box 4. Captain Settle Posted November 25, 2013 Posted November 25, 2013 #1 on my list is the Parisian Restaurant I wanted that too, but it comes out after Christmas, on January 1st. Then again, you could always get a New Year's Day present. Quote
OldBuilder Posted November 25, 2013 Posted November 25, 2013 My wish is for the 9398 crawler, this will bring me out of the dark ages nicely! Quote
Energo Posted November 25, 2013 Posted November 25, 2013 Mmm, the 2nd 9398 crawler because the number of Technic pieces isn't enough for my next project. And 42005 Monster Truck, maybe) Quote
Paperballpark Posted November 25, 2013 Posted November 25, 2013 I don't tend to ask for Lego, as I know I can find better deals than my family can. I do save the Winter Village set for Christmas day though, so that I have something to build! :) Quote
just2good Posted November 25, 2013 Posted November 25, 2013 Main set I want is the WVM. Since my Birthday is four days after Christmas, I ask for like three big things. The two other sets I want are the Parisian and the Town Square. The only small sets I want are the three Friends Animal Packs I don't have, and the Marvel polybags I don't have. I might ask for Cinderella's Castle, but that I might get before. Quote
Daenerys Targaryen Posted November 26, 2013 Posted November 26, 2013 Only thing Lego related on my wish list is the 'Battle at the Black Gate' LotR set, as it'll make a stellar background piece for my Easterling army display. Quote
TheLegoDr Posted November 26, 2013 Posted November 26, 2013 (edited) Instead of asking what I want, I get told a dollar amount and then I buy up to that point. Same idea of finding better sales than other people since they aren't keeping an eye on things. With that said, I ordered my Christmas presents in October with double points. I got: Town Hall, Winter Village Market, BTTF Delorean, VW Camper Van, and Thanksgiving feast polybag, the four Hobbit sets, Jabba's Sail Barge, Sopwith Camel and some pick a brick. I try to take a picture of all of them and post it in my Flickr in my signature. The last two year's pictures are in there too. Edited November 26, 2013 by TheLegoDr Quote
Freekysch Posted November 26, 2013 Posted November 26, 2013 (edited) Hmmm, this Christmas i hope to get 8109 Flatbed Truck, but i do not know if i`ll get lucky. Edited November 26, 2013 by Freekysch Quote

Palathadric Posted November 26, 2013 Posted November 26, 2013 I wish that I will see a LEGO set in one of the shops in town...although I have just been informed that a LEGO shop was opened in the capital of my country. It's still a day's drive away, but at least there's hope and LEGO haven't abandoned this side of the world entirely. Quote
