V()()D()() Posted March 15, 2005 Posted March 15, 2005 Hey I wouldnt be talking, you guys get Vikings *wub* , we get D.I.N.O. attack :'( Quote
xwingyoda Posted March 15, 2005 Posted March 15, 2005 Do not worry there, you will get Vickings only via S@H (and we will not get the crappy dino line via S@H) ;) Quote
Jipay Posted March 15, 2005 Posted March 15, 2005 That would make it even worse :-D Having a not so small market and having no Lego promotions whatsoever ;) The market is not smaller... the act is that TLC dumbly consider US as one market while europe is cut into countries. Germany is the second largest market. Actually if you add all the european coutnries you could maybe even have a bigger market Quote
OOM-30 Posted March 15, 2005 Posted March 15, 2005 The guy on FBTB edited his post, and said that if you do not have an albertsons near by, you can do a Catalog Quick Order on shop at home for a Jedi starfighter and vulture with the code as SP35. I do not know if this works for europeans though. Quote
snefroe Posted March 15, 2005 Posted March 15, 2005 the guys from Lego Belgium said that Begium takes 2% of TLC's total turnover... That's really a lot... but still... no lego shop... i've tried to buy lego via American online shops, like amazon.com,... but they're not allowed to send most of the Lego stuff to Europe. it's all in the taxes, i'm afraid. with 25% VAT on every set, a high Euro and high taxes in general, there simply isn't any margin for huge price cuts. i've never seen a large price cut of a large set, like the AT AT. Sometimes, shops reduce the price of smaler sets by 10 or 20%, but that's as far as it goes in Belgium. 50% off for a millennium Falcon or AT AT is something i can only dream of... :() Quote
Wolf04 Posted March 15, 2005 Posted March 15, 2005 The image: EDIT: Well the ARC fighter sucks. There was a MOC earlier on which was MUCH better and more detailed. Quote
xwingyoda Posted March 15, 2005 Posted March 15, 2005 Sweeeeeeeeeeet :oo Thanks for the pics Wolf04 ;) Quote
Wolf04 Posted March 15, 2005 Posted March 15, 2005 It's from fbtb so thank whoever posted it there... ;) Quote
jonfett Posted March 15, 2005 Posted March 15, 2005 I really like the JSF but the ARC just doesn't look right. Firstly is is alot smaller than the starfighter, it would have been nice if they were in a similar scale. Secondly, the wings on the ARC are not the right size either, the small flag piece used for the wings just seems strange. As wolf04 said, I would have prefered to see something similar to the MOC we saw a few weeks ago. Jon. Quote
sam89 Posted March 15, 2005 Posted March 15, 2005 I think they're both pretty good, and will get the if they ever come out over here (nowhere ever said they were US only). Quote
xwingyoda Posted March 15, 2005 Posted March 15, 2005 Looks that the Arc is in scale with the X-wing, and the JSF is much bigger Quote
Wolf04 Posted March 15, 2005 Posted March 15, 2005 Yea exactly. It's so stupid. Why couldn't they keep a scale and work with that. They just make them the smallest they can and that's it. Quote
xwingyoda Posted March 15, 2005 Posted March 15, 2005 Totally, at least with the small ships like the X-wing .... they are in the same scale. Really stupid for the JSF. The only problem with the one scale is for more bigger ship like the ISD (if it was in scale, it would not be a "mini" anymore :-D ) Quote
Wolf04 Posted March 15, 2005 Posted March 15, 2005 Well, the model we got is a "mini" version because it already comes with a mini RBR. I wish we could get a mini-fiig ISD...sweet!!! Quote
mutley777 Posted March 15, 2005 Posted March 15, 2005 looks like i will have to get these from ebay or bricklink. Quote
sam89 Posted March 15, 2005 Posted March 15, 2005 I'm hoping they'll be given away with a promotion in the UK as well. It doesn't mention anywhere that they'll only be released in the UK. Quote
jonfett Posted March 15, 2005 Posted March 15, 2005 We got a free mini tie with the Lego magazine so maybe it will happen with one of these?? Jon. Quote
Wolf04 Posted March 15, 2005 Posted March 15, 2005 People, chillax, the sets will be available individually later in the year from S@H and at your local LEGO store. Quote
sam89 Posted March 16, 2005 Posted March 16, 2005 People, chillax, the sets will be available individually later in the year from S@H and at your local LEGO store. Where did you hear that? Quote
Wolf04 Posted March 16, 2005 Posted March 16, 2005 Have patience young one. Your desire is great but you must wait. Soon, the force will be with you, soon. Quote
