Governor Mister Phes Posted May 13, 2005 Governor Posted May 13, 2005 No! No! I'm just at the computer tonight. Tomorrow night I'll be all over the place after I get intoxicated. These details you speak of, I fear their form and colour may be subject to the most disappointment. You should all prey that this set lives up to your expectations. Quote
sam89 Posted May 13, 2005 Posted May 13, 2005 Ace from FBTB is working on getting more info on this. Hopefully he does, and hopefully he gets pics :-D Quote
xwingyoda Posted May 13, 2005 Posted May 13, 2005 I really agree with Ras!! Looking at the past bigger sets (AT-AT, Falcon, Clone Turbo Tank), the crawler will be as good, if not better!!!! I might bo too optimistic there but I got a good feeling about this ;) Quote
TheQ Posted May 13, 2005 Posted May 13, 2005 Hope of the mankind.. Stupid thing that evolution didn't kill or the basic instict that is vital to us? Who knows, but I am eager to see the colors and the 'figs of this set. This set seems to be good source of "dirt" pieces. Following the colorscape of the Geonosian Fighter? I do hope so because I have 16 of these pieces: PIC Quote
Governor Mister Phes Posted May 14, 2005 Governor Posted May 14, 2005 By the way nice to see you on "our" section and also get your thoughts about something like this.I think you have understood that this is something that many hard core SW LEGO fans wanted for a long time. As much as I disapproving of licencing I still acknowledge and respect the success that Star Wars LEGO has had over the years. Even if it has a strong emphasis towards an existing franchise, it still evokes the spirit of the traditional LEGO in the sense it stimulates the imagination and inspires people to create. I just hope, well actually "expect" that LEGO lives up to all your expectations and delivers the good and not disappoint you, like they disappointed me. Quote
stb Posted May 14, 2005 Posted May 14, 2005 "This item is currently not available." :'( Sancrawler 10144: http://www.amazon.com/exec/obidos/tg/detai...l/-/B0009GIBO2/ Quote
Governor Mister Phes Posted May 14, 2005 Governor Posted May 14, 2005 Oh dang! Its been cancelled. Sorry folks. They got your hopes up for nothing... Quote
Governor Mister Phes Posted May 14, 2005 Governor Posted May 14, 2005 LEGO ordered Amazon to remove the Sandcawler as LEGO intended it to be a S&H exclusive? Quote
xwingyoda Posted May 14, 2005 Posted May 14, 2005 This is weird because usually the exclusive can be found at TRU!!!!! and Amazon and TRU are part of the same group no??? Quote
stb Posted May 14, 2005 Posted May 14, 2005 Maybe Amazon just should not allow preorders before ShopAtHome. IIRC the TIE collection was "exclusive" some time ago and StarWarsShop.com sold this item, too. So maybe Sandcrawler is some "shared" exclusive, too. If not, why is the page still available? Quote
DoubleT Posted May 14, 2005 Author Posted May 14, 2005 Nope, Lego told them because the set still is a "secret" :) I know this as a fact :) Quote
xwingyoda Posted May 14, 2005 Posted May 14, 2005 Thanks for the input TT ;) Are there other dark secrets that will pop out this year???? I wonder????? and I hope yes!!!!!!! Quote
The Middleman Posted May 14, 2005 Posted May 14, 2005 wow that venator looks good but it would be more awsome as a set..but the pirce i could just guess would be $299 :( So? Much better than the ISD/DS2. Quote
Apocalypse Posted May 16, 2005 Posted May 16, 2005 As has probably been noted somewhere on Eurobircks, The Death Star II is now available for preorder (with the 30$ off as was already mentioned) Now the only question is where am I going to get 1500$ (roughly) to order my limit of 5 :-D ;) Quote
sam89 Posted May 16, 2005 Posted May 16, 2005 More Sandcrawler news: - 11 figures: 3 Jawas, C3PO, Uncle Owen, R2D2, Red R2, 3 additional brick made droids, 1 battle droid based droid (made from battle droid pieces) - Mainly brown, some dark orange and tan pieces - 4 treads, the treads on the back can be steered by turning a knob - Bay doors can be opened - Cockpit at top is only a sticker - Behind the bay doors is a small platform with a crane - A bigger workshop can be placed around the "body" and can be removed Quote
