chewie Posted May 16, 2005 Posted May 16, 2005 woohoo this is getting better it sounds like a pretty good set but like everyone else the sticker sucks.....i sure hope its not like the stickers on the sopwith camel..cause those sucked they curl up around the edges and they dont stick very good after being on the plane for a bit Quote
DoubleT Posted May 16, 2005 Author Posted May 16, 2005 Yes great news sam89 :) Now all we need are pics ;) Quote
Vader Posted May 16, 2005 Posted May 16, 2005 Well this set sounds good and i cant wait to see some pics, what is it with lego and this sticker crap. :( Quote
Wolf04 Posted May 16, 2005 Posted May 16, 2005 Woop-de-doo stickers. Couldn't they put some small windows? Quote
sam89 Posted May 16, 2005 Posted May 16, 2005 He said he can't get pics, but they should come soon enough anyway. Quote
xwingyoda Posted May 16, 2005 Posted May 16, 2005 For now its only for US S@H - arghhhhhhh!!!!!! Maybe we'll have it in Europe!!! check the link here: http://shop.lego.com/product.asp?p=10143&cn=4&d=5&t=3 Quote
snefroe Posted May 17, 2005 Posted May 17, 2005 He said he can't get pics, but they should come soon enough anyway. Sam, could you ask your source about the dimensions of the crawler? Quote
xwingyoda Posted May 17, 2005 Posted May 17, 2005 I know the price is ridiculous but I like this big ball ;) We'll see at the end of the year ;) Quote
Vader Posted May 17, 2005 Posted May 17, 2005 Yeah ive been wondering just how big this thing will actually be too. Quote
sam89 Posted May 17, 2005 Posted May 17, 2005 I have the demensions, but apparently I'm not allowed to give them out. But from what I've heard it's not THAT big. Quote
snefroe Posted May 17, 2005 Posted May 17, 2005 i guess the best way to figure out if this is a cool set, a set you can display at home, is to ask non-lego folk if it's really credible enough as a display set. i know lots of non-lego people loved the Star destroyer. they did not look at it as a toy, but as a display model. wonder what they'll say about the ball... i think non-lego people are able to look at this more objectively than we are. Ras 74 Posted May 17, 2005 Posted May 17, 2005 Well, I started to wonder a bit about this: - A bigger workshop can be placed around the "body" and can be removed But then I thought about the price... Then we just have to get two, and MOC it together as one! Quote
stb Posted May 18, 2005 Posted May 18, 2005 I'll buy this set to complete my collection and I think about importing this from U.S. (together with the Sandcrawler) to save some money. I think the Star Destroyer is the better set because it's simply larger (not in number of parts but in length) and has more details (laser cannons etc). On the pictures the Death Star II seems to be quite simple in architecture. I hope there are some more classic sets like cloud city, Millennium Falcon (new) and AT-AT in the future (with many figures). At least I don't need any more R2D2's and Luke's and Vader's... Quote
Christian Posted May 23, 2005 Posted May 23, 2005 The date have changed again, atleast in europe. Now its the 22 of june! I hope this is not a mistake again. Quote
Governor Mister Phes Posted May 23, 2005 Governor Posted May 23, 2005 I wouldn't spend that much on a Pirate LEGO set! So unless one magically drops out of the sky and lands before me, I'm never going to own this one... Quote
sam89 Posted May 23, 2005 Posted May 23, 2005 The date have changed again, atleast in europe. Now its the 22 of june! I hope this is not a mistake again. It's changed back to September again. Quote
Christian Posted May 23, 2005 Posted May 23, 2005 It must have been a mistake again >:( Why do they changes the date all of the time. Quote
Jipay Posted May 23, 2005 Posted May 23, 2005 that's symptomatic of companies with big communication troubles... Quote
Governor Mister Phes Posted May 24, 2005 Governor Posted May 24, 2005 More Sandcrawler news:- 11 figures: 3 Jawas, C3PO, Uncle Owen, R2D2, Red R2, 3 additional brick made droids, 1 battle droid based droid - Cockpit at top is only a sticker 11 figures! Oh hoooooooooray!!! I always wish for more mini-figures. There's never enough of them. But a sticker for the cockpit, this I cannot condone... Cop out! Quote
Governor Mister Phes Posted May 24, 2005 Governor Posted May 24, 2005 Ah yes... LEGO being incompetent communicators... We discussed that a few months ago... Anyways, in relation to this beast of a creation, what kind of grey is it made from? To me it looks like the traditional colour, but at another time of the day it might not. Quote
