That's in only 2 weeks!!! :oD :oD :oD :oD I think this time TLC has met (almost) everyone's expectations!!! THANK YOU SO MUCH!! Should be front page news!!! Quote
baron Posted June 3, 2005 Posted June 3, 2005 I think it's only the pre-ordering that starts june 14th. Quote
Mr. Lego-builder Posted June 3, 2005 Posted June 3, 2005 EVERYBOBY INTERESTED IN THE FINAL SANDCRAWLER PICTURES, CLICK HERE!!! Thanks to Baron for the site!!! Quote
The Middleman Posted June 3, 2005 Posted June 3, 2005 Holy bejeezus! Way big. Not big enough, but still way big. A bit disappointed in the color scheme and the droids. Probably not worth $150. Oh well. Quote
Mr. Lego-builder Posted June 3, 2005 Posted June 3, 2005 I don't like the color scheme either. Why does there have to be spoots of grey, white and black?! And even so the pre-ordering starts June 14th, it might be too late if you wait until the actual release date to get it. ;) Quote
The Middleman Posted June 3, 2005 Posted June 3, 2005 I wonder when it'll SHIP... hopefully before my birthday! (Aug. 3rd) Quote
Athos Posted June 3, 2005 Posted June 3, 2005 I don't see a Luke in there? I'm pretty surprised at that. I thought for sure we'd be getting a flesh colored Luke. Three Jawas is pretty good. Uncle Owen looks good too, for a flesh toned fig... at least the torso can be used. Interesting lift out middle thing? And looks like maybe stickers for the windows at the top? Steve Quote
Gamma Posted June 3, 2005 Posted June 3, 2005 GAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAH--!!!!!! HOLY CRAP--! I must get this set.. Or die... G Quote
sam89 Posted June 3, 2005 Posted June 3, 2005 I love it! It's disappointing that the cockpit is a sticker (I really hope it's printed, but other than that it looks great. I can't wait to get a closer look at the droid on the ramp at the front. Does the red R2D2 look fifferent to any one else? It looks like there's a tan piece between its head and its body. Quote
xwingyoda Posted June 3, 2005 Posted June 3, 2005 I totally love it :oD I really want to see closer pics - I can't wait for this baby to be on SAH ;) Sam, I think the bottom of the Astromechs' body is different (different printing). And yes there is an extra piece between its head and its body (the red one). Quote
Vader Posted June 3, 2005 Posted June 3, 2005 Yep it sure looks like theyve added a piece to the red droid, i suspect that its lego way of trying to make him look different without having to actually make a new headpiece. What i wanna see is a closer up shot of the droid thats on the ramp, i wonder what head he will have? Quote
DoubleT Posted June 3, 2005 Author Posted June 3, 2005 Or maybe its head can pop off or something.... Quote
Governor Mister Phes Posted June 3, 2005 Governor Posted June 3, 2005 I'm sure I've already wrote I preferred the MOC we saw recently better. There must be two Sandcrawler threads! That's the only way I can explain this Dejavu! Quote
DoubleT Posted June 3, 2005 Author Posted June 3, 2005 Yes there are two, but its nice to start with an frech one now :) Quote
The Middleman Posted June 3, 2005 Posted June 3, 2005 Yes there are two, but its nice to start with an frech one now :) I think we should use this one, since it's particularly about the Sandcrawler pics. Quote
chewie Posted June 3, 2005 Posted June 3, 2005 omg omg omg :oo wow this thing is awsome i might order it for my b-day on june 17 :-D !!!! and the color..i have an idea (im really into military stuff) ok well not too long ago i got a pair of desert camo pants and this is what they look like the color scheme might look like this so that it reprsents "camo" on the sandcrawler Quote
chewie Posted June 3, 2005 Posted June 3, 2005 oops forgot to post the pic here it is...so the black on the camo is to represent shadowing and same with the white im pretty sure..the gray im not too sure about Quote
Rivets Posted June 3, 2005 Posted June 3, 2005 Hi everyone, I've always tried to stay away from the Star Wars theme but this utterly convinced me. Will be the first SW set for me. It looks a bit like a vacuum cleaner or something but has such a nifty interior from what I can see and I actually like the different colours it uses. Secret stuff abounds. Didn't the Jawas use everything they could find to repair/improve the crawler? I think this is what the mixed colours are about. The bridge sticker would indeed be a let-down and I think the movie crawler was even bigger! This will cost the horrendous sum of 150 euros or even more, I guess, as the target group would be 22+ anyways. If TLC even did this obscure vehicle, Jabba's Sail Barge will follow - that's for sure. Quote
HJR-Holland Posted June 3, 2005 Posted June 3, 2005 I think this set RULES !!! It's GREAT !!! Look at the treads!!! and the figs!!! I think it's gorgeous :) Quote
mutley777 Posted June 3, 2005 Posted June 3, 2005 HOLY CRAP! that is awsome! :oD (just noticed my nickname and love it) :-D Quote
Governor Mister Phes Posted June 3, 2005 Governor Posted June 3, 2005 I don't get what's so good about it myself. I think that MOC has interferred with my perception. Quote
ApophisV Posted June 3, 2005 Posted June 3, 2005 This set surely will devide the fans into two groups: Those who like the massive classical brick build look and thise (like me) that had preferred a plate covered crawler using the same technique like the official AT-AT or Pepa Quins sandcrawler custom. For myself I have to admit that the playability makes it more interesting than this block on treads had been as a plain UCS model. I like the rusty look, though I don't like the tan / white highlights and the black bricks also are looking a bit out of place... Other than this (and the construction technique, which doesn't really needs to be discussed here, it's just a matter of taste) I really like this, has the right shape, nice Minifigs (but why another R2..... :| At least no Luke ;)), the treads are really looking good and it also features some greeblies!!! Quote
LegoSW Posted June 3, 2005 Posted June 3, 2005 I always dreamed of this set! The one set I wanted was a Sand Crawler, and for months I have been thinking 'MAKE ONE NOW LEGO', and this news just come in is brilliant! It is perfect, and all those minifigures!!! This will look great alongside my Imperial Inspection. I am into single Original Trilogy Edition sets that depict a scene, not collections of sets. This is perfect, thank you LEGO! :-D Quote
