sam89 Posted July 30, 2004 Posted July 30, 2004 Ah well, I prefer the look of the TIE Advanced in the TIE Collection anyway. And they're bound to release a redesign of the Y-Wing sometime :P Quote
jonfett Posted August 7, 2004 Posted August 7, 2004 Hmph... surely they cant do that? But it is their company so I guess they can do what they like.. within limits of course! :P Us Brits can get it for the sweet price of Quote
ApophisV Posted August 7, 2004 Posted August 7, 2004 OUR GOOD OLD JON IS BACK!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! EDIT: (to add some sense to this post) Here it is 84,99 Euro... too expensive for me... :( Quote
jonfett Posted August 7, 2004 Posted August 7, 2004 Hmmm.. you might think lego wants us to have 10+ tie fighters each by the way they are releasing sets recently. Jon. Quote
ApophisV Posted August 7, 2004 Posted August 7, 2004 hm.... interesting thought, i tie fleet consisting of 10+ ties... i have 12 mini ties (2 fighter, 5 bomber, 5 advanced), but in system scale?? whohooo... but slowly i run out of *good* place to store and display my system models... have to install some glass shelfs that still lie around here somewhere... Quote
jonfett Posted August 7, 2004 Posted August 7, 2004 Well there must be at least 10+ system ties, not counting the minis. Original tie Darth Vaders (1) Darth Vaders (2) Bomber Tie collection - 4 Darth Vaders (3)? That is alot, even if it isnt quite 10. But then there is the UCS interceptor. Jon. Quote
ApophisV Posted August 7, 2004 Posted August 7, 2004 there isn't any vader's tie (3), its just the re-re-re-re-release of 7150... (please correct me, if i'm wrong... :P) Quote
jonfett Posted August 7, 2004 Posted August 7, 2004 I dont know, I just read something about it on here but I guess I didn't read it correctly. Oops! Jon. Quote
Jipay Posted August 8, 2004 Posted August 8, 2004 I like the "10+" "oh no wait; less than 10" thing :P But I'm sure we will still get ties in thye future... Quote
jonfett Posted August 8, 2004 Posted August 8, 2004 lol yeah, I kinda miscounted! What ties are there left to do except maybe a system interceptor? Jon. Quote
ApophisV Posted August 8, 2004 Posted August 8, 2004 no!!!! they have to sell the drone as single set!!! like anakins podracer!!! :D Quote
Jipay Posted August 9, 2004 Posted August 9, 2004 Well if you take a look at the starwars database, we are still missing a lot of ties, but most of them are from the EU, so... But I'm curious to see if George added some new ties inside of the OT (can't wait until september) Quote
DoubleT Posted August 9, 2004 Author Posted August 9, 2004 Have an feeling that the Drone is in it.... Quote
Jipay Posted August 9, 2004 Posted August 9, 2004 Ohh, you to ? I mean this is the question all the AFOL are thinking of... Are the fans of star wars just wandering that ? I don't think so ;) But how to introduce this drone in such a famous scene ? Quote
DoubleT Posted August 9, 2004 Author Posted August 9, 2004 Well there is going to be an biiiiig space battle in the start of ROTS, maybe its there ;) Quote
Jipay Posted August 9, 2004 Posted August 9, 2004 Well but then, what' s the point of adding it in ths set which is a representation of an EPIV scene. Now I'm also really excited by this battle scene and I hope it will include some tie's also ! Tie's were supposed to be invented under the old republic to be basic cheap and good fighters Quote
DoubleT Posted September 4, 2004 Author Posted September 4, 2004 Guess what :) Now Available at ShopAtHome, in newly designed box satis Go Here: To get it Quote
Jipay Posted September 4, 2004 Posted September 4, 2004 I'll try to buy one today (but 60 euros...it is the same price on bricklink) satis ! The minifig is yellow on the pic... If it is yellow, jake will have to explain this |:| Who's next ? B-Wing ? A-Wing ? I pray for a redesigned b-wing ! Quote
sam89 Posted September 4, 2004 Posted September 4, 2004 It's a shame, because I would probabaly buy this if I wasn't going to get the TIE Collection. I'm hoping some time they'll release a re-designed Y-Wing. Quote
keitaro Posted September 4, 2004 Posted September 4, 2004 I have the old version of this set. What are the differences? Quote
dyip_90 Posted September 4, 2004 Posted September 4, 2004 The TIE Advanced is the same one from the TIE Collection. in this picture on this site The LEGO shop at home keeps showing it as 2 different TIEs, which one is it? Also, United Kingdom gets the A-Wing? Quote
6studs Posted September 4, 2004 Posted September 4, 2004 hey guys i've not a Sw fan but i've bought this set at Toys'r'us yesterday (54,99 euros !!) The box is great (shiny and reliefed) Believe it or not i've just open the box to make some photos but the bags are still closed. Here the brickshelf gallerie: http://www.brickshelf.com/cgi-bin/gallery.cgi?f=97243 bye Quote
J1A3L5 Posted September 4, 2004 Posted September 4, 2004 Interesting type of redesign. But I still wish they would do a ship once, and let that be it. They could give us a Death Star playset or a Sandcrawler or Sailbarge, but no, they go and re-do a old set. Since I have the original set, (As with most of the re-done sets), I'm 95% sure I won't get this one. Quote
ApophisV Posted September 4, 2004 Posted September 4, 2004 6studs: are the pieces old or new grey?? and is the rebel pilot flesh toned? Quote
