David85 Posted September 4, 2004 Posted September 4, 2004 Yeha what's up with this? They don't want to make new sets or something? I wanted JUST a Y-Wing, not a Tie, and they have yellow guys, WTF? Maybe Lego got their act together and went back to old grey and yellow guys! HAHAHAHA. Who am I kidding that would be the day. Quote
6studs Posted September 4, 2004 Posted September 4, 2004 hi, the grey and dark grey parts are blueish the head of the pilot is yellow bye Quote
jonfett Posted September 4, 2004 Posted September 4, 2004 Cool, looks alright. I have the old version but I would like to get this one as well (yes I'm greedy! satis ) Then I will get a new box!! It is Quote
Jipay Posted September 4, 2004 Posted September 4, 2004 The yellow head is a shame :f) I want more fleshy figs Quote
jonfett Posted September 4, 2004 Posted September 4, 2004 Maybe one day soon I will have to accept that all SW sets from now will have flesh tones.. but it sure is nice that this one comes with a yellow head. This will probably be the last yellow minifig SW set ever.. *sniff* :'( Jon. Quote
ApophisV Posted September 4, 2004 Posted September 4, 2004 hm... i wonder why they hadn't changed both.... :/ ONLY changing the greys ut NOT changing the minifigs?!? thats strange, only a half thing.... Quote
jonfett Posted September 4, 2004 Posted September 4, 2004 Well, maybe they TLC are just giving us "half things" from now on. So in the next set we will just get a pair of legs and a hand, instead of a minifig. satis Jon. Quote
6studs Posted September 4, 2004 Posted September 4, 2004 hey guys you add reply so fast that you should not use a forum but a chatroom !!!! :-) Come to say just hello here tonight, it'll be friendly : http://www.freelug.info/cgi-bin/cgiirc/irc.cgi no login/pwd required - a lot of english speakers among freelug members bye and play well Quote
Precious Jazz Posted September 5, 2004 Posted September 5, 2004 I won't be picking it up because I already have the set with the original TIE Advanced plus I'll probally get the TIE Collection when it comes to retail like Cloud City did. But it's still nice to see the Y-Wing/TIE Fighter set being rereleased for people who didn't get a chance to pick it up the first time. Quote
Jipay Posted September 5, 2004 Posted September 5, 2004 Ahh thank you PJ ! As one of the people who missed the first wave, I was almost ready to buy this set for 70$ on bricklink. i'm now really happy I haven't done this ! satis Now the bad point is that I'll get twice the same ship Quote
ApophisV Posted September 5, 2004 Posted September 5, 2004 hey guys you add reply so fast that you should not use a forum but a chatroom !!!! :-)Come to say just hello here tonight, it'll be friendly : http://www.freelug.info/cgi-bin/cgiirc/irc.cgi a bit offtopic, isn't it .... :D better start a new topic or whatever for hints like this... :) however, i logged in and they only spoke french.... hadn't understand much.... :/ Quote
jonfett Posted September 5, 2004 Posted September 5, 2004 When I logged in there were a few English speakers including 6Studs. Anyway, it helped me learn a bit more french! Jon. Quote
clecle Posted September 5, 2004 Posted September 5, 2004 Well it's freelug chat so it's french :| I don't think a chat room is such a good idea for us. For instance in their chatroom some people are here 20 hours a day and don't say anything, so I'm definitly not sure. *satis* But for one please stay on topic ! :oo Was this the mysterious set or not ? :^D Quote
DoubleT Posted September 5, 2004 Author Posted September 5, 2004 Well we have no way to know... But hope not... Quote
ApophisV Posted September 5, 2004 Posted September 5, 2004 i dont hope so... i want a sandcrawler!!!!! Quote
jonfett Posted September 5, 2004 Posted September 5, 2004 ... or a sailbarge. Either of those 2 would be nice! Jon. Quote
clecle Posted September 6, 2004 Posted September 6, 2004 Darling, have you bought the Y-wing ? Is it still on shop at home ? Hurry up ! *satis* Quote
Jipay Posted September 6, 2004 Posted September 6, 2004 Yes I bought it today, and also ordered th a-wing on shop at home ! *devil* Quote
Jipay Posted September 8, 2004 Posted September 8, 2004 I think you have to ask jake directly. If you look closely at the box, you will see that brick are coming from denmark but also korea and an ex soviet union country (don't remmeber which one). Now I think that for a set of this price, this is unacceptable. But I didn't had any problem with mine (thanks god). So there is a lot of questions that came to my mind with this set from an economical point of vue. Are bricks really coming from korea ? What the helle is that ? Quote
ApophisV Posted September 8, 2004 Posted September 8, 2004 I really appreciated to chat with JonFett...I'm now more comfortable to post here because I know him much. exactly the opposite than me!!!! *devil* (jon, my friend, you know, i'm kidding... ;)) but to get on topic: i never had problems with any part larger than a 1x1 brick. (we already had a thread about this month ago) that are MY problems.... and these aren't only things that are resulting from my "hard" (???) handling, i noticed some of these small damages at bricks i just took out of the original bags... :/ Quote
6studs Posted September 8, 2004 Posted September 8, 2004 hi jipay I won't talk to jake about that , that's not such a big quality problem, quality problems are not things he have to deal with...i think he's got better subject to deal with (IMHO). Jake is making a great work for the communauty in TLC... I'm going to call LEGO to exchange these bricks. Well...talking about quality is such a big issue....I think we will see in the future if the quality is lowering or not in a more significant way, it's too much early now (IMHO) I'm sorry , these post is really off-topic but I don't know how i can change from another topic when adding a reply. 6Studs....and more. Quote
ApophisV Posted September 8, 2004 Posted September 8, 2004 I'm sorry , these post is really off-topic but I don't know how i can change from another topic when adding a reply. LOL!!!!! don't wonder about this!!!! *satis* as long as your post fits to the previous post, it IS on topic.... at least at this board... ;) Quote
jonfett Posted September 8, 2004 Posted September 8, 2004 Sorry for the off-topic invitation to FreeLUG chatroom , it was a very friendly one, just for fun. I really appreciated to chat with JonFett...I'm now more comfortable to post here because I know him much. Yes, it was a good chat.. a ncie change from talking to people I know well. Those parts look very odd to me. There really is something wrong with the quality, they remind me of.. I can say it.. m..m...mega... megablox! :oo I hate to think that Lego will one day be like them. I hope there are no pieces like that in any more future sets. I'm sorry , these post is really off-topic... Like Apo said.. we always like to chat so off-topic doesn't matter. But I am sure we should be re-named to "Eurofftopicbricks" Your off topic Bricks! :P Jon. Quote
Jipay Posted September 8, 2004 Posted September 8, 2004 Well I said to ask him because of the produced in korea mention on the box. I've never heard before that some lego bricks were produced there... *sick* Quote
