DoubleT Posted January 13, 2005 Author Posted January 13, 2005 Well the Tie Collection was over hyped, and a big let down.... Many was loking for the best SW set ever, but got this ok set Quote
Vader Posted January 13, 2005 Posted January 13, 2005 Yeah i was expecting a death star playset and all we got was a crappy tie collection >:( Quote
Jipay Posted January 14, 2005 Posted January 14, 2005 Well I was expecting to get the pics first and that's what it did. Maybe tie collection was a disappointment for you but it was a great deal for us :D Beside this I think it's important to release ties since it is the ship that appears the most in the whole old trilogy :) Quote
Orlego Posted January 14, 2005 Posted January 14, 2005 The Tie Collection is also much smaller than expected... This pic compares it to a normal 16oz box of cereal... I don't know how many of you own this set but to me it was a bigger disappointment than I had expected. Quote
Jipay Posted January 14, 2005 Posted January 14, 2005 I own this set and will buy it again if it goes on clearance on S@H :) Quote
Orlego Posted January 14, 2005 Posted January 14, 2005 I own this set and will buy it again if it goes on clearance on S@H :) Did you buy it at full price? Were you just a little disappointed? I don't think it was worth the $70 US. I paid $35 for it because I got it on employee 50% off day but would have been pissed if I had paid $70. Quote
Jipay Posted January 14, 2005 Posted January 14, 2005 I paid it something like 80$, the regular european price. I was REALLY disapointed by the price, not by the set itself. Those two things must be separrated. It's like cloud city, the set is great, the price suck. All the marketers wil say to you that when the product is good, you have no reason to convince people about the price. It's false in my opinion. :| Quote

This set should have been priced around $50 US. Lego would sell a lot more. |-/ Quote
Vader Posted January 14, 2005 Posted January 14, 2005 I like the sets but also to me the price was a real letdown, therees just no way i would be it at full price if i found it a half price then i would buy it. Quote

jonfett Posted January 14, 2005 Posted January 14, 2005 I never bought the tie collection at all.. in fact I only own 2 tie (7146 + 7152 Darth Vaders tie) So I don't know why I am complaining, I need more ties! :D Jon. Quote
Vader Posted January 14, 2005 Posted January 14, 2005 Well youve had plenty of chances to boost your tie ranks jon :-D ;) Quote
Orlego Posted January 14, 2005 Posted January 14, 2005 Yeah, it is not like Lego didn't have 500 tie sets or anything. |-/ ;) Plus all you have to do is upset me or Vader and you will have some ties flying your way. :P ;) Quote
jonfett Posted January 14, 2005 Posted January 14, 2005 Well youve had plenty of chances to boost your tie ranks jon :-D ;) Ties?? where? I cannot find them anywhere! Jon. Quote
Vader Posted January 16, 2005 Posted January 16, 2005 Just found some more pics of the box on brickshelf you can view them buy hitting the link below http://www.brickshelf.com/cgi-bin/gallery.cgi?f=112808 Quote
sam89 Posted January 16, 2005 Posted January 16, 2005 Yeah, that's Count Blockula's folder. You can see some of his 7256 pictures (not built) here: http://repoort.proboards43.com/index.cgi?b...&num=1105823942 Quote
Vader Posted January 16, 2005 Posted January 16, 2005 There probably will be extra pieces, afterall most sets have them :) Quote
jonfett Posted January 16, 2005 Posted January 16, 2005 NOTES:-There is no catalogue inside the box or any other inserts, only the instruction booklet. -There are no extra pieces, not even a single extra 1x1 plate. Looks like Lego is trying to save money by not having extra pieces :/ Jon. Quote
Orlego Posted January 19, 2005 Posted January 19, 2005 have you noticed the 7256 folder ? Thanks Jipay for pointing that out. I really should view all folders when we get a BS link. ;) Quote
Vader Posted January 24, 2005 Posted January 24, 2005 Ok guys and gals after calling shop at home for the last few days i have been told that they are in stock, but they dont have a price on the set yet for the UK. So if you want the set and live anywhere else in europe i would recommend that you give them a call to see if a price has been set for your country and wheather its available for you to buy. Good luck :) Quote
DoubleT Posted January 24, 2005 Author Posted January 24, 2005 Well called them, and they said it could take from 2 days to a week before its ready.... Quote
