Hi Eurobricks gang. I'm fairly new to LEGO collecting, and wondered if I could enlist the help of you who are in the know.

I've bought the Avengers lego minifigures, but it bothers me that Black Widow didn't come with a gun. I'd really like to buy the one she (and Nick Fury) is holding on the Avengers LEGO poster, but I've yet to find this gun anywhere. Do you guys know if this is an existing gun, that is available to buy anywhere, or was it a one-off especially made for this poster?

Any tips would be GREATLY appreciated.

Thanks!

:-)

Thanks a million Oky. That's awesome. Would you say this gun (bb 192) is the gun LEGO has produced that closest resembles the one used in the movie Avengers (image below)?

I had a similar question but never asked it. On the poster of the Lego marvel superheroes game, as seen here:

Black widow is holding a very neat gun, very realistic looking too. It is not the one you guys are mentioning but I would love for my Black Widow and Deadpool to own one, not to mention what I could have Harley Quinn do with it. I'm a purist, and my OCD doesn't allow for anything custom. So before I go buying a Lego gun on Brickling or Ebay (and I believe guns are one of the most common custom accessories am I right) I would like to know if this is a real piece. Thanks to all in advance because I really like that piece, and I have my fingers crossed that its real!!

Yes, I'd say so. :classic:

I don't see anything, but I think I know which gun you are talking about. It is this one from the Crystal Skull sets, and on closer inspection, I think that is the gun in the picture snoozle posted as well. My mistake, however I still think the Batman gun is closest to the gun in the reference picture due to the shorter barrel.

Thanks again Oky. Interesting that they've produced two so similar, but with different barrels. Now I'm off to ebay looking for the Batman gun!

Oops, haha my bad  I tried posting the picture up again but an error occurred and turns out I'm not aloud to "post that image extension" oh well, you got the point.

and yeah, I think those are the ones from the Crystall skull, but I am positive it is not the Batman one, though.

I would recommend buying from Bricklink. You could get a few of them of very cheap.

Another difference between the two guns is that the longer-barrel version was cast in hard plastic, while the original Batman version was soft and the handle would flake off. They did a similar thing with the Tommy gun - the Batman version was soft, and they later redid it in hard plastic. No idea why, though.

I'd really love to see that smaller gun come back. Even if it was a created for a retro vibe, it still makes a lot more sense than the annoying Alien Conquest gun that LEGO now gives to every character ever.

Thanks for that tip KingPixels. Man, I've wasted so much money on eBay. Bricklink is so much cheaper…! Wish I'd discovered it sooner. At least now I have. So cheers!

Clone O'Patra, is that Batman version really that flaky? Perhaps I'll go for the longer barrel one then...

This gun also appears in one or two of the Indiana jones sets, its a nice little piece although lego have made the new 2014 gun which actually fires a stud, to my knowledge this new piece appears in two themes and its pretty nice (Star Wars and the lego movie). There are also some nice guns that the swat team in the lego movie sets carry, I hope to get some when they appear and the tommy gun piece is nice too and relatively cheap. :classic:

Ther'es also this one gun Black widow was holding in one of the Marvel superheroes posters, but I can't find it for the life of me. It isn't any of these, and I'm really bad with guns so I can't identify it by name, but is had a little tube stretching from it's bottom. Hopefully I can find it and clarify it later, but if you happen to stumble upon a poster of Black widow (she was shooting a building if I recall) with a different gun, please let me know. I need more guns for Gotham...
