The elf jerked her head towards the old human quite suddenly. The mere motion and the look she shot him was enough to make him back away, but it made no difference. From just beneath his feet, a large shrub, dying, covered in spines, burst from the ground. He didn't have time to react before it sheared a hole right though his body, lifting up into the air. A change in the riot followed - anger and resentment turned to panic and fear. A platform of foliage gathered at Rusealote's feet, lifting her into the air as more vines burst forth from the ground. Most were either dead, or covered in frost from the remnants of yesterday's snow. They whipped about, attacking the rioters, several falling before they fled. Others, however, remained behind, grabbing weapons, evidently followers of the elf. She gave the heroes a look of ferocity.

That varies from QM to QM. If he steals gold and you kill him before he flees with it, yes, he'll drop the gold.

"I don't know. I don't trust any of them. Last time some human convinced us to attack an elf, it was a trick to start a war. Though I will go with what the majority decides, I can't be part of this decision, I simply don't have enough solid information and no idea how to get it in the short time we have here to decide."

Matthias nods approvingly, grateful that his leader is not barging into another awful fight.

The elf jerked her head towards the old human quite suddenly. The mere motion and the look she shot him was enough to make him back away, but it made no difference. From just beneath his feet, a large shrub, dying, covered in spines, burst from the ground. He didn't have time to react before it sheared a hole right though his body, lifting up into the air. A change in the riot followed - anger and resentment turned to panic and fear. A platform of foliage gathered at Rusealote's feet, lifting her into the air as more vines burst forth from the ground. Most were either dead, or covered in frost from the remnants of yesterday's snow. They whipped about, attacking the rioters, several falling before they fled. Others, however, remained behind, grabbing weapons, evidently followers of the elf. She gave the heroes a look of ferocity.

The gnome looks on in horror as Rusealote begins her attack, aghast at the prospect of heedless battle. He looks around for comfort, suddenly, in the presence of the heroes around him, but his eyes fall on Baradock and comfort is lost. Who might betray the party again?

Well I guess that's that.

With sigh of resignation and a nod of agreement, Matthias attacks Dead Root C from the back row.

The barbarian's entire body tightens at the sight the limp form suspended and impaled. Dead. His straight eyebrows are drawn low over his eyes. He stretches his arm to find the edge of his club, the air is cold, but the blood his hot running down his neck. Something about this elf made him, angry. No, livid. Baradock's hardened eyes began seek out any obstacle to pulverize under his bludgeon.

Had Alexandre target Violent Rioter D, I assume Dyric is aiming for Rogue Mercenary B (D doesn't exist) and that Cinna uses darkness since she didn't specify.

The battle starts off strong. Olmstyr and the new heroes take on the dead roots under covering fire from Dyric. One of them takes a swing at Matthias, barely scratching his armor, but another wraps around Baradok's neck, tightening its hold viciously. Thormanil, Arx, Alexandre, Dreyrugr, and Haldor band together, corralling the rioters and hacking (and biting, and smashing) at them. Alexis distracts the rogue mercenaries seductively as Cinna upgrades her weaponry. Guts jumps onto Rusealote's platform of leaves, slashing at the elf.

...Olmstyr and the new heroes take on the dead roots under covering fire from Dyric. One of them takes a swing at Matthias, barely scratching his armor, but another wraps around Baradok's neck, tightening its hold viciously...

Matthias watches the root attack Baradock, and while his first instinct is to help his party-mate escape the root, the memory of betrayal rises in his mind so he returns to his own target.

Finally the gnome breaks his days of silence. "I've been attacked on this trip by everyone BUT the Orcs." He repeats his attack on Dead Root D from the back row.

By my own calculations I should have done 1016 damage to Rusealote on my critical hit. (32x3+29+2=127x2x2x2=1016) On my Shield I should have done 95 x2 (encouraged) = 190 darkness/frost damage to all enemies, 190x2x2=760 damage to Rusealote.

Baradock struggles with the root coiling itself around his collarbone, "Nnrgh!" His club dropping to the ground with a thud he yanked at the thorns with both of his hands. On your feet, is the only thought he had in mind as he scrambled to hold his balance.

The barbarian jerked his head at the gnome, his glare intense. He sensed an underlying intent under that statement. As he strains to form words the root brings him to a teetering kneel, scraping his palms on the ground. On your feet, on your feet. With a free hand he scours the ground for his weapon, his fingers wrapping around his club.

If Baradock rolls frenzy does he escape the root?
