Posted December 1, 201311 yr I'm not sure if video reviews are acceptable to post here, and how - apologies in advance - so I figured I'll put them all in a single topic, so as not to spam the forums with video-only kind of content. I simply don't have enough time on my hands to write reviews, but the videos are thorough and include plenty of details, so I think you don't want to miss them. Any suggestions on how to make this topic better are welcome. The videos are also available as a YouTube playlist: And here we go: 42025 Cargo Plane 42021 Snowmobile 42022 Hot Rod 42023 Construction Crew 42024 Container Truck And two more: 42026 Black Champion Racer 42027 Desert Racer
December 1, 201311 yr Well. I present mine too, then. :) With review links in the video descriptions.
December 1, 201311 yr Great work mates! As always And so here you have also the material that I've published so far. 42025 Cargo Plane - Presentation 42025 Cargo Plane - Timelapse 42025 Cargo Plane - Review http://www.technicbr...argo-plane.html 42024 Container Truck - Presentation 42024 Container Truck - Timelapse 42024 Container Truck - Review To go live later today
December 1, 201311 yr Nice reviews! But I noticed in Sariel's review that the plastic used for the snowmobile suspension arms looks like it is of very low quality.. But hey, maybe it's just my eyes deceiving me. I still can't believe that 'hot rod' is an actual set though... If you ask me, Technic sets went down the drain after 8880... That being said, great reviews guys! Although I would prefer a pictoral review, video reviews are absolutely fine IMO. Actually the functions on the hot rod are really cool, I did not expect pushrod steering or a folding roof! So maybe I was wrong. But it still looks pretty ugly on the outside and the only new parts are the wheels. Edited December 1, 201311 yr by TwentyLeggedHen
December 1, 201311 yr Author I don't think the 8421's suspension arms have any quality issues, and if you have doubts, I have used them in the front suspension here:
December 1, 201311 yr Oh, I don't doubt that they work well, the plastic just looks kind of see-through and cheap. Wait, 8421 doesn't even have suspension..
December 1, 201311 yr i think congratulations to the lego technic team, next years models look full of possibilities! love the new parts!
December 1, 201311 yr Was hoping for advanced and exiting full rc models, I don't think the 8421's suspension arms have any quality issues, and if you have doubts, I have used them in the front suspension here: Is there instructions for that?
December 1, 201311 yr The cargo plane looks interesting, so does the container truck. I just finished the mini container truck, which was a great build :)
December 2, 201311 yr I'm extremely jealous of all you fellows who got the sets early. Great job on all the reviews though. Now I know exactly which sets to buy.
December 2, 201311 yr Great topic. Nice to have a collection of Video Reviews. As far as I'm concerned; it might even be better to post this in the http://www.eurobricks.com/forum/index.php?showtopic=85899 topic next time. That way; we have all the speculation, information and (video/external) reviews in a single topic. What do you guys think? I will add this topic to the Technic Index
December 2, 201311 yr agreed ... would certainly be better organized if all reviews are within the same thread.
December 2, 201311 yr While 42022's folding roof is nice, it's too bad it's almost identical to that in 4993.
December 2, 201311 yr This is making me wonder what the flagship in 2h is going to be with all of these colours. Definitely dibs on the cargo plane and the 3in1 set though. So many new parts!
December 2, 201311 yr I'm extremely jealous of all you fellows who got the sets early. Great job on all the reviews though. Now I know exactly which sets to buy. That's all of them, right?
January 9, 201411 yr Author Allow me to get back to the subject with this 42026/42027 Race Truck review. I should have the 42025 Cargo Plane B-model review in a few days, too.
January 10, 201411 yr It's hard to imagine that TLG introduced a new worm gear just to change the angle of a meaningless spoiler on a B-model. I imagine it will be used for something much more important in the 2nd half.
January 10, 201411 yr Nice review. Is the model noticeably faster with the 2 motors than the models with single motors?
January 10, 201411 yr Author Not that I have noticed. It's much heavier and seems to have poor traction in the back because of being front-heavy.
