Waterbrick Down Posted January 1, 2014 Author Posted January 1, 2014 "What's it to you? And what sort of rescue party, surely you aren't from Irlaz, you'd had to have made it over the river." The orc paused, "You'd best be careful, guard checks in here every hour or so, he should be back soon."
Cryos Posted January 2, 2014 Posted January 2, 2014 (edited) Seeing how quickly his companions branched out, Baradock advanced towards one of the patrolling Nords. Not being a half-decent thespian he found it difficult to be someone who he wasn't. "Huhuhuhuhuh Eh--Why yar no take of the break t'do deh, eh--circus!?" Baradock spewed out attempting to mimic the first Norn they encountered. Edited January 2, 2014 by Cryos
Waterbrick Down Posted January 2, 2014 Author Posted January 2, 2014 Seeing how quickly his companions branched out, Baradock advanced towards one of the patrolling Nords. Not being a half-decent thespian he found it difficult to be someone who he wasn't. "Huhuhuhuhuh Eh--Why yar no take of the break t'do deh, eh--circus!?" Baradock spewed out attempting to mimic the first Norn they encountered. "Someone's got to keep on lookout, 'sides I'm not bein' paid to loaf around lollygagging over a bunch of performing bumpkins."
Purpearljellyblob Posted January 2, 2014 Posted January 2, 2014 <These Nords are harder to handle than expected, our plan in making the Nords drunk isn't going to work. Looks like we have to learn more about their activities and improvise on whatever we have... If these Nords would to go on a raiding trip, that would leave the camp less guarded......> Purpearl thought to herself. Purpearl clutches the drunken Leadfoot's arm with her both hands, "Tis' raids, Fitz, you were talkin' aboot, how often do you conduct tis' raid? do ya'll go together or is tis' a one man show?"
Waterbrick Down Posted January 2, 2014 Author Posted January 2, 2014 "Oh, we'll all go raidin' except fer a few of us. We just got back in fact, 'tis why this storeroom be so full of our well earned bounty."
Vash the Stampede Posted January 2, 2014 Posted January 2, 2014 "What's it to you? And what sort of rescue party, surely you aren't from Irlaz, you'd had to have made it over the river." The orc paused, "You'd best be careful, guard checks in here every hour or so, he should be back soon." "You'll find out soon enough. In that case I'd better be going, enjoy the few hours you have left here." Dreyrugr leaves the room remaining well hidden from sight after which he makes his way back to the other heroes.
Costy Posted January 2, 2014 Posted January 2, 2014 Dreyrugr leaves the room remaining well hidden from sight after which he makes his way back to the other heroes. "Did you find it?"
Vash the Stampede Posted January 2, 2014 Posted January 2, 2014 "Did you find it?" I'm not sure if WBD is going to have something happen, I hope not but I'll wait to see if something happens before answering IC.
Cryos Posted January 2, 2014 Posted January 2, 2014 (edited) "Someone's got to keep on lookout, 'sides I'm not bein' paid to loaf around lollygagging over a bunch of performing bumpkins." "Huh..." Baradock wasn't expecting that. "Erm--Yar can git some of drink! I could do deh 'looking-out.'" If only he knew how badly we was overplaying his part. Edited January 2, 2014 by Cryos
Purpearljellyblob Posted January 3, 2014 Posted January 3, 2014 "Oh, we'll all go raidin' except fer a few of us. We just got back in fact, 'tis why this storeroom be so full of our well earned bounty." "Hm, pretty well stocked, it is. That should last quite a while". Purpearl ducks her head under Fitz's arm while carefully freeing herself. "I think I should go now, it's rather late and I need to rest. Don't drink all the mead!" as she gently lay the Nord on the ground and leaves the storeroom towards her party, sliding the mead into her bag on her way out.
Waterbrick Down Posted January 3, 2014 Author Posted January 3, 2014 QM Note: I don't have anything railroaded, if that is what you're waiting for. This part is pretty free form as to how you're going to break Grishnod out. "Huh..." Baradock wasn't expecting that. "Erm--Yar can git some of drink! I could do deh 'looking-out.'" If only he knew how badly we was overplaying his part. "Yer no Fire Nord, ya think I'm gonna trust a circus performer to do my job?" Purpearl excuses herself and makes it to rest of the group unhindered.
Cryos Posted January 3, 2014 Posted January 3, 2014 (edited) "Yer no Fire Nord, ya think I'm gonna trust a circus performer to do my job?" "Not just any performer of the circus...yar!?" Baradock began flexing his muscly biceps this-that way and the other. "I am Bara-eh..bock the Mighty!--I could do your job better than ten of ya Fire Nords." What am I doing!? Baradock thought to himself as he put on an unconvincingly plastic smile. Edited January 3, 2014 by Cryos
Waterbrick Down Posted January 3, 2014 Author Posted January 3, 2014 "Nay, ya may look like a big brute, but yer not but a jelly legged land lubber. Leave me be."
Purpearljellyblob Posted January 3, 2014 Posted January 3, 2014 Purpearl rejoins the group and whispers, "That storehouse is filled with food supplies, weapons and shields that we can possibly make them our own. There's a few casks of Mead, where the Nords help themselves when they are thirsty. There's also a Nord guarding the storehouse whom I believe is very intoxicated. Any ideas?"
Cryos Posted January 3, 2014 Posted January 3, 2014 (edited) "Nay, ya may look like a big brute, but yer not but a jelly legged land lubber. Leave me be." Land lubber? Thoughts of the were-crocodile buzzed around in his head. I never did get to lethal him. "Yar..." Baradock trailed off; defeated. Suppressing his urge to show his strength in more physical ways. Upon arriving back to the rest of the party Baradock prodded the vampire in the center of his chest with his index finger. "This plan was the stupid from the start." Purpearl rejoins the group and whispers, "That storehouse is filled with food supplies, weapons and shields that we can possibly make them our own. There's a few casks of Mead, where the Nords help themselves when they are thirsty. There's also a Nord guarding the storehouse whom I believe is very intoxicated. Any ideas?" "The other guards are not doing the budging." He gestured to Cinna. "She has a way with words, maybe she could talk to them." Edited January 3, 2014 by Cryos
Vash the Stampede Posted January 3, 2014 Posted January 3, 2014 (edited) "I've found our prisoner whom is very badly guarded, I didn't even need a key to slip into his cell. They make rounds every hour or so which should make the action of breaking him out easy, it's just the rest we need to worry about." Upon arriving back to the rest of the party Baradock prodded the vampire in the center of his chest with his index finger. "This plan was the stupid from the start." "I didn't think of the plan, I'm just going with the flow so don't keep trying to make me a scapegoat." Edited January 3, 2014 by Vash the Stampede
Purpearljellyblob Posted January 3, 2014 Posted January 3, 2014 (edited) "We are in their outpost now, I just entered their storehouse with ease, so apparently they do not see us as a threat at this moment. Maybe the Nords have a weakness or something or secret pathway, blind spot that we can take advantage of. I am going to walk around to acquire more intelligence." Purpearl whispers to her companions. "I am checking out the Barracks, the last building unchecked, anyone interested to come along with me?" Edited January 4, 2014 by Purpearljellyblob
Darkdragon Posted January 3, 2014 Posted January 3, 2014 While the Nords are busy watching the real circus troupe, Cinna takes the moment to slip away and join the other heroes again. She talks in a hushed tone. "I'm a bit worn out of performing, has the orc been found?" She listens to the other recount what has progressed so far. "Right, so we just need to wait for the guard to leave the holding cell and sneak him out. I'll go with Purpearl look for a back way, perhaps a sewer to the sea? If we find nothing, we'll have to figure out a way to get back to through the gate with the troupe and orc before the guard comes around again. I'm thinking that possibly Borris's shapeshifting ability could help in some way with that."
Waterbrick Down Posted January 4, 2014 Author Posted January 4, 2014 QM Note: I need to go build the one building I didn't think you guys would investigate. If you want to do any other actions, do them now as the circus's performance will soon be ending.
Vash the Stampede Posted January 5, 2014 Posted January 5, 2014 "I'll go watch the rest of the circus, I'd be suspicious if we were all wandering around the whole time." Dreyrugr goes the watch the circus performance.
Waterbrick Down Posted January 6, 2014 Author Posted January 6, 2014 Picture forth coming but unnecessary for story purposes Purpearl and Cinna make their way to the Barracks, they slip inside and see 5 vikings inside, some honing blades, others tending to weapons. Cots line the far wall and barrels filled with spears, swords, and other weapons lean up against another with a stack of shields. "No one told me they grabbed wenches on the last raid."
Purpearljellyblob Posted January 6, 2014 Posted January 6, 2014 (edited) "No one told me they grabbed wenches on the last raid." "N' no one told you a great circus just arrived in town." "We are mere circus performers from the Mercutio's Smile Circus. We're popping by to say we've a fantastic performance lined up for the camp." winks Purpearl. Waterbrick Down Posted January 6, 2014 Author Posted January 6, 2014 "Ah, dancing girls then." The viking turned to his compatriots. "You fellows finish up repairing those arms and then ya can join in the fun. Lead the way ladies."
Darkdragon Posted January 6, 2014 Posted January 6, 2014 "Glad to hear you'll be joining the fun. " Cinna heads toward the door with the Viking following.
