Chromeknight Posted April 14, 2014 Posted April 14, 2014 (edited) Just so it's clear to everyone (I expect SC knows this already, we've quested together before) Nerwen's move wasn't aimed at ScubaCarrot in any way. Chromeknight likes Scubacarrot and thinks he's a great player. It was an in-character move. Plus it'll develop the Guts/Nerwen relationship. Nerwen is impressed by Matthias' summary, calls out to him. Gnome. You are paying attention and you will be standing back from the thick of it. Take the Eastern side. Do not forget some of your group are hastened and can act twice in battle orders. We should keep some in the tower until the first wave arrives and we know what we are facing. Hoke. You and Cinna should tag team, one at the front, one at the border. The front tanks, the border casts and scrolls. Swap when the tank is hurt or ether drained. The one in the border has Captaincy of this side and I will watch over the battle as a whole. Do not forget to make suggestions for your circus performers if you have one! Italicised are suggested placements WEST BORDER Nerwen (25 Paladin) Gocklo (52 Mime -Nerwen) Alexandre (25 Black Knight) Hoke (30 Mystic Knight) (West Captain) Cinna (28 Mystic Knight) Baradock (8 Barbarian) Mirona (10 Barbarian -Baradock) Tesni (34 Berserker) WEST FRONT Boris (25 Sorcerer -Cinna) TOWER Heweyrt (Non Com NPC - Hoke) Benji (38 Beastwarrior) Jess (22 Assassin) Alexis (42 Harlot) Dyric (24 Assassin) EAST FRONT Purpearl (7 Mage) Matthias (6 Ranger) (East Captain) EAST BORDER Haldor (31 Shaman) Guts (30 Raider) Thormanil (35 Dragoon) Dreyrugr (21 Black Knight) Glup (6 Rogue -Matthias) Nelvyn (15 Assassin - Purpearl) Olmsytr (29 Warden -Suggestions, Guts?) QMs. There's a good list of suggested artefact swaps. How much time do we have to action those, or are we ready to run? Edited April 14, 2014 by Chromeknight
Zepher Posted April 15, 2014 Posted April 15, 2014 Zeph- Nerwen is mounted on horse, does that mean speedier movement between zones. Can Nerwen dismount and someone else mount (much like swapping artefacts)? QMs. There's a good list of suggested artefact swaps. How much time do we have to action those, or are we ready to run? OoC: You're hastened, which allows speedier movement through zones, yes! And I'd imagine that horses are able to be mounted/dismounted, though it will take as many turns as an artifact would! We are ready to run this ASAP. We're just waiting for Pie to be online.
StickFig Posted April 15, 2014 Posted April 15, 2014 (edited) Matthias looks behind, to the west, and is relieved to see that the other heroes are starting to move out to battle lines. I will stay in the center tower. If any of you younger heroes could use my chain whip, it's yours. The gnome hears the pronouncement from a hero he doesn't know, and wonders why anyone would stay in the central tower, unable to attack the enemies? Nerwen is impressed by Matthias' summary, calls out to him. Gnome. You are paying attention and you will be standing back from the thick of it. Take the Eastern side. Do not forget some of your group are hastened and can act twice in battle orders. Matthias is jerked out of his pondering as the mounted paladin calls to him. Surely she doesn't mean to make him a leader for this group of experienced adventurers?! He glances around, uncertainty plain in his demeanor, and find Guts' face in the crowd of heroes near him. He hopes the big raider will focus on the battle once it begins and not turn against the party as his leadership is usurped. The gnome raises his tiny bass voice above the din. "I'm open to suggestions at any point - I just want to make it out of this alive, and if we can make peace by defending the bridge, so much the better." Edited May 13, 2014 by nstickney
Chromeknight Posted April 15, 2014 Posted April 15, 2014 (edited) Calling Boris closer before the battle starts, Nerwen hands him her robe of the archmage to wear. Raising her voice again she says. Make sure you are equipped properly, there will not be much time one this starts Edited April 15, 2014 by Chromeknight
UsernameMDM Posted April 15, 2014 Posted April 15, 2014 Callin Boris closer before the battle starts, Nerwen hands him her robe of the archmage to wear. "Boris, would you like to use my collections of scrolls to support our defense?"
Darkdragon Posted April 15, 2014 Posted April 15, 2014 Calling Boris closer before the battle starts, Nerwen hands him her robe of the archmage to wear. "Boris, would you like to use my collections of scrolls to support our defense?" "Yes, thank you both." Boris takes the scrolls, puts on the robe, and heads to the WEST FRONT.
The Legonater Posted April 15, 2014 Posted April 15, 2014 High in the tower, Dyric notches his first arrow, waiting for the enemy to come in range. This was the second time now he would have to fight his own kind. He only hoped it wouldn't happen yet again.
CMP Posted April 15, 2014 Posted April 15, 2014 What I'm suggesting is this: it would be easier for a deputy leader on each side of the battle to choose actions for inactive heroes as they will likely be following the events of that particular skirmish more closely. Sounds reasonable. Give me a bit and I'll post the round, everyone.
CMP Posted April 15, 2014 Posted April 15, 2014 (edited) The heroes move quickly to position themselves on the bridge as a wave suddenly overtakes the troops on either bank. The Kingdoms side is a hard, rhythmic clatter of a thousand armored boots against the ground as they march towards the bridge in lines. The orc sides is not so organized - a harsh, furious battle cry builds up in seemingly every soldier, drowning out the metallic pounding of the Kingdoms men, a mass of angry orcs storming towards the heroes. The troops show no hesitation in charging down the party from either side of the river banks... "Let us destroy these monsters." PREPARE FOR BATTLE!!! swils Posted April 15, 2014 Posted April 15, 2014 Aw bugger, I meant to pass my Frozen Saber to someone. Would anyone on the Eastern Front object to Nelvin and Thormy taking this round to pass the weapon along? An AoE stun could be pretty useful.

Just the chance to instant kill.
swils Posted April 15, 2014 Posted April 15, 2014 ...Well then. I always manage to let a little ignorance bleed through on every battle, it seems, heh. Kingdoms Territory: Thormanil stabs at Skirmisher A from the front row with Shishkebab.
Vash the Stampede Posted April 15, 2014 Posted April 15, 2014 (edited) Dreyrugr equips all of his equipment that he had on before they were knocked off him by the hulk and takes a smelling salt, mead, nostrum, soma and mulled wine. For note the equipment I had on was the Black Knights armor, cloak of the blue assassin and gloves of the undead assassin. I would like to be buffed up to the nines if that's ok. Dreyrugr attacks Skirmisher B and Skirmisher C from the front row. Edited April 15, 2014 by Vash the Stampede
Scubacarrot Posted April 15, 2014 Posted April 15, 2014 (edited) "Olmstyr, Archer A, back row. This rate. The Orcs are gonna get destroyed." The raider said bitterly. Guts attacks Archers B and C, front row. Eastern front battle order: Olmstyr Thormanil Haldor Nelvin Nelvin Dreyrugr Dreyrugr Matthias Purpearl Glup Guts Haldor Guts Edited April 15, 2014 by Scubacarrot
Vash the Stampede Posted April 15, 2014 Posted April 15, 2014 I am supposed to be hastened so you need to put Dreyrugr in the BO twice.
Scorpiox Posted April 15, 2014 Posted April 15, 2014 "This is it. Let's hold the line." Haldor waits until the foes draw near before breaking into a charge, he closes in on skirmishers D and E from the front row.
Purpearljellyblob Posted April 15, 2014 Posted April 15, 2014 "Nelvyn, please attack Skirmisher F from the back row, then do nothing for your next turn." Purpearl uses a Healing Staff on Dreyrugr from the back row.
CMP Posted April 15, 2014 Posted April 15, 2014 "Nelvyn, please attack Skirmisher F from the back row, then do nothing for your next turn." Purpearl uses a Healing Staff on Dreyrugr from the back row. You can't fight from the back row unless you're a ranged fighter two sections away, and you can't interact with heroes in sections other than your own.
Purpearljellyblob Posted April 15, 2014 Posted April 15, 2014 You can't fight from the back row unless you're a ranged fighter two sections away, and you can't interact with heroes in sections other than your own. Let me try again. "Nelvyn, please attack Skirmisher F from the front row, then retreat back to East Front for your next turn." Purpearl uses a Healing Staff on Nelvyn from the back row.
StickFig Posted April 15, 2014 Posted April 15, 2014 (edited) Matthias isn't surprised to hear Guts bellow out a battle order and doesn't respond, preferring to rely on Guts' superior experience to control the battle. He decides to attack Skirmisher A twice, settling in so that if Skirmisher A falls, he can attack the next Skirmisher down the line. OoC: Please note Matthias is *Hastened* so he will likewise need to appear in the battle order twice. Edited April 15, 2014 by nstickney
Capt.JohnPaul Posted April 15, 2014 Posted April 15, 2014 Tarokin Dyruultar A and Dyruultar B, front row. "Stand firm! You shall not pass!"
UsernameMDM Posted April 15, 2014 Posted April 15, 2014 Please check SP for Hoke's group. Everyone should get a +3 from the Flagpole.
CMP Posted April 15, 2014 Posted April 15, 2014 (edited) Please check SP for Hoke's group. Everyone should get a +3 from the Flagpole. I know, they will during calculations, but I'm not going to go in and change everyone's just because it's likely people will be moving around and it's easy to forget about. OK, does it affect everyone in the West or just everyone in Hoke's specific section? Can Hoke move back to the West Front and be considered attacking from the back row? If so, does it cost him a turn? If so, since he is Hastened, can he move, then attack? Sorry for all of the questions.

Sorry for all of the questions. Just in Hoke's section, like all area of effect Specials, Shields, and effects. Yes, but he'd have to use a spell, he can't use a melee weapon from the back row here. It costs him one turn to move, so yes, you can move and attack.
