Vash the Stampede Posted May 18, 2014 Posted May 18, 2014 "Dreyrugr, you my fine chap are a vampire of few words, but I can't say that blade of yours won't be missed, nor the precision with which you yielded it. For you I have a small favor attached to our gift." The sorcerer opened his cloak and a bat swooped out and did a few circles around Boris's head. "I'd like you to look after this little fellow for me. If we're ever in the area or you ever want to find us, feel free to let him loose and he'll hone right in on us if you give him a while." Dreyrugr was almost almost taken aback as the bat flew around. He had kept a pet before but had long outlived it and the thought of keeping a pet again was shocking if nothing else. "Never thought I'd hear myself say this but I'll be happy to take care of this little fellow." "And that goes for all of you. I'm sure we'll see each other at some point, given both our professions penchant for traveling. Until then though, may you have a safe journey home and may your pockets always be full, your beds warm, and your company enjoyable." Dreyrugr nodded to the circus troupe as he boarded the ship. Despite the chaos, or perhaps because of the chaos he rather enjoyed himself. Another quest in tow Dreyrugr takes the boat back to Heroica. QM Note: That's it Quest 90 folks. Just like Zepher said, we'll have a lot to say in the next couple of days and we'll be really interested in all you have to say as well. Thank you so much for being such an amazing party! Even though there were some tough times, some points where we dragged a little, and some challenges mechanically speaking, I had a blast QMing you all. Thanks again for all of your commitment in seeing this to the end. Let me know if there's anything wrong stat wise, otherwise I'll leave the rest of my comments for the Quest Master Lounge. I also need 30 gold from Borris. I must say despite a few hiccups this quest has been a blast and I enjoyed it. More in the QM lounge.
Purpearljellyblob Posted May 18, 2014 Posted May 18, 2014 (edited) Purpearl returned the items she borrowed, to Haldor and Cinna and should also have 143 gold (113+30 from Borris). I will edit the final stats to exclude the items I've borrowed so it's not a problem. Boris approached the five heroes who had seen his group of performers safe to the uttermost and handed them each 30 Gold. As Purpearl moves around the bridge, salvaging what she can, she passes by Haldor. "I believe I borrowed these from you not long ago. Thank you." And Purpearl returns the Heavy Metal Rod and the Gladiator's Helmet to Haldor. Purpearl turns to Cinna and returns her Healing Staff and High Heels. "Thank you for your help, Cinna." "Purpearl, you have been with us through thick and thin. You were the voice of reason during all of the chaos. It has been quite the adventure and I wouldn't have traded the world for any of it. Please take this tunic, may it keep you from harm and see you safely to us again at some point in the future." Purpearl had her eyes open to the lands of the Low Kingdoms and Drandora. Despite feeling a little bit reserved at the start of the journey, that feeling was overshadowed by the fantastic shows that the Mercutio's Smile put up time and time again. Every cheer and every smile that the circus managed to pull is a step closer to rebuilding their reputation and a better life ahead. There, before her eyes, she watched as the circus slowly rebuilt their livelihood to where they are now. The elven mage wished that such good times with the circus would never end, but in reality... The time Purpearl dreads finally dawned on her as their adventure together formally comes to a close. Purpearl's eyes wells up as she says her goodbye to all the members of the Mercutio's Circus. Borris' tricks and his amazing fireworks will be missed, Glup's daredevil spirit and Mirona's brute and out of the world's strength will be admired. Lastly, as for Nelvyn, his unwavering smile, even managing to pull a wide smile in life's lowest moments, is something Purpearl will remember for the rest of her life. Purpearl receives the Tunic from Nelvyn and presses it close to her chest, "I know I will feel safe with this on me, just as you've protected me throughout this journey." She cups Nelvyn's cheeks with her hands and looks into his eyes, "Look at you. People no longer hate you now, people enjoy your shows and you are famous. Won't be long before you are back to your former glory. Remember to drop by Eubric when you have the time. Until then, I shall miss you dearly. Goodbye Nelvyn..." Thank you CMP, WBD, Zepher for hosting the Baltarok Trilogy! I enjoyed it thoroughly and had heaps of fun. Thank you for having me! Edited May 18, 2014 by Purpearljellyblob
Zepher Posted May 18, 2014 Posted May 18, 2014 (edited) OoC: And one final epilogue, just for good measure. A week or two later, Heweyrt and Gocklo stand on the shores of Baltarok, watching as men from the Kingdoms built the end of the bridge under Orcish scrutiny. There are sour and suspicious looks from both parties, but neither strikes at each other - an improvement over the battle that almost happened mere days ago. "He he he. Told you the heroes would do a god job!" "I believe it was I who told you that. And even then, they almost didn't make it. Trying to destroy the bridge. Fools. At least they asked for the freedom of the Orcs. That had to come from them, Valentino would never do it if I had asked him to. So, at least one good thing from the battle." "And we got Valentino back." "Yes. Strange that the people I hired also hired Heroica. Must be a bigger name than we realized. But yes, Valentino's return is welcome. Hopefully he can straighten out that son of his." "Or maybe he'll run into an accident he he he." Heweyrt shrugs. "So where are we off to next? Sticking together, splitting up? Have instructions arrived?" "Yes, my little friend. I'm to join the Warden in Eubric. It seems that the ever influential Guffington is preparing to fund yet another little venture into the great unknown. We are to offer our help." "So I get to join the Prophet and Inventor? Where are they now?" "Dastan, I believe. Doing some research. They've quite a library there. But, no, you're actually being set loose. There are witches on the move, apparently." "Baba is in Eubric." "We'll leave her be, for the time being. The Prophet still doesn't know exactly what direction the Wolfgang is going in." He sighs. "These are the Three Sisters. Those little daggers of your's? They're on the move. And the Prophet has decided it's time that you go say hello." He shrugs. "Remember, we need at least one alive." "He he he." The two look at the bridge they helped to complete.
