Posted December 7, 201311 yr Hey guys... i was thinking: as the snowing season is here, why shouldn't we make a thread to set a sort of snow vehicles "show"? including various solutions to deal with snow itself? i've already built a snowmobile wich im going to publish after the 15th december...i need to go to the mountain to shoot the video :D but i can anyway start with this solution that i've found to make the track of my new snowmobile so down with your fantasy guys and build something :D! or post here all your snow MOCs
December 7, 201311 yr Hi, We're thinking same idea :) I'm still making my snowmobile. I'm start 2 days ago... This is my reference: My project is WIP now... Panels are temporary...
December 7, 201311 yr Author :D tiny little sled! nice one! the fact that the center of mass is on the track is a great thing man :) i did a yellow one too!
December 7, 201311 yr I am planning to build a snowmobile aswell, powered by the complete RC Buggy setup, with two motors.. Will start planning/building over the weekend!
December 7, 201311 yr I'm going to build a snowmobile too! and then it will snow here! I WISH, lolz Great job guys, waiting for the results! hehe
December 7, 201311 yr Author ahah poor australian guy :P you can buy 20 packs of flour and no one would notice it XD
December 7, 201311 yr I'm making a half track ATM! You may have seen my thread I started, I'll post WIP stuff there. :)
December 8, 201311 yr Made some tracks for the 8110 Unimog. Works on carpet but I get a feeling it would sink in deep fluffy snow. unimog_tracks by dr_spock_888, on Flickr How about a Friends snowmobile with Technic tracks? Friends Snowmobile by dr_spock_888, on Flickr Ok, maybe not...
December 8, 201311 yr Variant with small tracks is also good The problem of all matttracks made form lego: it should be made with raising front part, because it tends to roll. I mean Not simple triangle, but something like this: __ / O \ /. o). Drive there => (O___o/ Edited December 8, 201311 yr by rm8
December 8, 201311 yr I think Zblj made tracks on his entry for the 9398 contest like you're thinking if Rm8. :)

Drive there => (O___o/ that's a really cool model! i already saw that on youtube and it took me a while before i could realize what scale it was :D
December 9, 201311 yr Thanks :) Center of mass is very important because battery box is very heavy.... :D tiny little sled! nice one! the fact that the center of mass is on the track is a great thing man :) i did a yellow one too! I don't like my design because of battery box. First test drive results are above:
December 9, 201311 yr Author yeah that battery box is quite heavy and definitely too wide for small mocs :) when ive built my first snowmobile it was huge and it had the batterry box hidden in the body...but it gave some problems to the weight distribution how does it perform? from the images i'd say it works :D
December 9, 201311 yr Author I'm waiting to drift the mustang on some snow :) im waiting for you to do that :D wich mustang? the red or the dark grey one?
December 9, 201311 yr There is only the red one. I don't have a dark gray car, and the black defiant has no drivetrain and wheels without wheel adapters, so it's not gonna drive anywhere.
December 9, 201311 yr Author was that black? lol i need to get my sight checked...or my memory maybe xD the red one is amazing *.*
December 10, 201311 yr There is video of my MOC. I want to more speed but it's not. http://youtu.be/Rlz1jv2P8q0
December 18, 201311 yr 8043 and 8110 with AA NiMh batteries don't seem to work that well in the very cold temperatures.
December 19, 201311 yr 8043 and 8110 with AA NiMh batteries don't seem to work that well in the very cold temperatures. 8110 and 8043 may not work well in the snow, but they sure look good! The green bed is perfect on the 'Mog.
