Just noticed today that the constitution train chase is on "sold out" on the Dutch lego.com site. Seems like this set had a very short lifespan.

It is still available in Canada S@H. It could be a local supply thing.

I'm still waiting for the price is right before getting one. Hopefully there will be some after Christmas deep discounts. :classic:

There's been big discounts on Amazon for it in the UK, and LEGO had it at 20% off in the lead up to Brick Friday, which strongly suggests that it was a one-year only set (and probably theme too).

I'm just glad I picked one up about a month ago! :)

When I grabbed it from the local toy shop where they had kept it back for me they told me that LEGO had informed them that the Lone Ranger range was cancelled. This was about 6 weeks ago.

Ah, let the wait begin. Hoping it will end up in the "must go" section at our local toystore. Had quite a few nice bargains there. Fingers crossed a stagecoach set will end up there, really like it but it's shamesly overpriced because of the licensing fee...

All the LR sets were 20% off on Brick Friday at the Lego shop in St. Louis, Missouri. Maybe they still are? Personally, I'd already scored the sets I wanted elsewhere. I think I'd paid $66 for the train on Amazon a few days previous. It's a nice set. Now, I just need the mine, but only for cheap. The cavalry and tepee sets aren't too interesting to me. Perhaps if they only had cavalry and Indians respectively, but who needs all those LR figs?

Oh, sure glad I got the Constitution on Black Friday then! I'll have to keep an eye on the sets and see if I can pick up a couple of the mine set (And maybe another Constitution) before they're sold out.

I just happened to spot the Constitution Train at a 20% discount when I was picking bricks at the Lego Store outside Burlington, Mass - there was a 20% discount on all Lone Ranger Sets. The train was a $15 savings worth getting it in store paying tax versus getting it online without having to pay sales tax.

May go on S@H to snatch up a few more sets before it's all gone...since New Hampshire has no sales tax when ordering from S@H. The discount on the lower priced sets wasn't worth getting in store since New Hampshire has no sales tax when ordering online.

LEGO USA still lists the set a in stock, limit 5. Amazon had on sale for 28% off. I had been intending o get one sometime, so I bought it. Amazon said 2 left, I got one. Good luck

Toys R Us B&M in the US has been selling these (shockingly) at a steep discount off of MSRP... I want to say for less than $65. Not sure if that sale is still going on, but might be worth a look if you want this set at a great price.

I don't think these are going away anytime soon, every Target and TRU I've been to recently have tons in stock.

It is a great set for the value though, if you get it for sale. The track pieces alone are like $30-$40.

A large Australian retailer (Myer) sold out their remaining stock of the Constitution Train Chase at ~$US75 yesterday and this morning. The same retailer is currently selling all of the Lone Ranger LEGO line at 40% less than the Australian recommended retail price.

Well makes sense to me that it still around, if the movie flopped then people aren't buying. I just got it for the train parts.

Listed on S@H au that it's now retired.

Glad i grabbed 4 of these at the sales. Mainly for the bits and track anyway but i wanted to have a crack at powering this one as well.

Its completely gone from most european S@H sites (not even listed any more) and its marked as "sold out" on US S@H.

Muller Toy chain had insane discount on all LR sets in last days of december. Train was least discounted (60 from 100) while others were mostly over 50% (Cplby city was 30 from 60, Cavalry 7,5 from 15, comanche camp 15 form 30 and stagecoach 25 from 50). Even better was the mine set, discounted to 35euro from 80 euro. I think all gone now except for Comanche set (that one is really bad with its plastic tent), but it might be still good to check your local store.

I see that onl thing left on US S@H is comanche camp (even if its discounted).

It's listed as sold out on S@H in Canada before Christmas Day. Target had a big discount on them. Unfortunately, my local Target store didn't have any Lone Ranger sets at all. :(

I don't think the line flopped for Lego. Heck I think they made more money off the property than Disney. Mostly just because it was a decent western them, that had not been seen in decades. The Constitution Train Chase set seems to have disappeared practically overnight by me. With the Silver Mine not far behind it. Given how horrid the movie did they aren't going to push it for more than a one and done 8 or 9 month theme.

Movie? What movie? Really didn't care about the theme, but that train set was interesting enough to pick up. It's a shame though, it's really a nice set for the price and there are not that many steam train sets released lately. Here in the netherlands the amount of webshops that keep this set in their inventory is dropping noticably.

Not available in the uk any more at a sensible price:( My kids would have liked this one.

EDIT: found one used on amazon for £70. :) Hope they like it...
