Wardancer Posted December 12, 2013 Posted December 12, 2013 (edited) CCCXI - Lord Maeven on Felsentritt, carrying the Goddess Banner Not here, it could not be! The lesser being itself was not a threat, these bones would surely shatter. Felsentritt was about to run it over and the last thing it would ever see would be the Goddess Banner in its glory. However, an undead was not supposed to be that close to the inner realm. The Goddess herself would need to be alarmed, the army assembled, the old ones called. She would not like this, not at all... 1 front von MWardancer auf Flickr 2 Skeleton's perspective von MWardancer auf Flickr 2 close up von MWardancer auf Flickr 5 down von MWardancer auf Flickr 5 vignette von MWardancer auf Flickr Customized parts: - wolf head (werewolf head carved out) - cape (cape madness mid cape) - breastplate (atlantis emperor armor backwards, painted) - armguards (Brickwarriors parts painted) - horse armor (Brickwarriors breastplate and armguards cut and painted, helmet painted, green gem cut and glued) - horse blanket (cut from capes) - banner (2 staffs cut and glued, Brickwarriors antlers, painted Brickwarriors weapon, coffee logo cut out and backside painted, green plant cut and glued) - grass (Brickwarriors plumes) - knife (Brickwarriors) I am not affiliated with any coffee company. Nightstalker Posted December 12, 2013 Posted December 12, 2013 That is quite the fig and horse you got there! The assortment of pieces from BW is awesome. This has to be your best custom fig yet. Quote
Fantu Posted December 17, 2013 Posted December 17, 2013 This minifig is pure awesomeness. So much courage to do that to the werewolf head. The horse and the banner are great also. But I think he could use a more custom sword instead of the classic chromed sword. Great work, congratulations. Quote
Wardancer Posted December 17, 2013 Author Posted December 17, 2013 Thank you for the kind replies. The werewolf head was a tricky thing, because I had only one expensive one and had to use different big drills and scalpels, which can break parts easily. Yey, hmm, you are right about the sword. I have custom spears and lances, but no real ideas for swords. Maybe I could have painted the dragon catana silver, but somehow that did not appeal to me. Quote
SerenityInFire Posted September 19, 2014 Posted September 19, 2014 The use of the Starbucks symbol makes me think he comes bearing gifts of coffee. A great fig nonetheless. Quote
Asphalt Posted September 19, 2014 Posted September 19, 2014 A wonderful piece, thank you for including the parts list. Quote
Wardancer Posted September 19, 2014 Author Posted September 19, 2014 Thanks, I did not expect this thread to come up again ever. My other idea was to use the logo of Jaegermeister herbal schnapps, a deer head with antlers and a cross :-) Quote
Eric The Hand Posted October 23, 2014 Posted October 23, 2014 Whoa...im loving this! And the Starbucks logo is rather comical. Nice! Quote
PromocjaLego Posted October 23, 2014 Posted October 23, 2014 Whoa...im loving this! And the Starbucks logo is rather comical. Nice! I confirm , it's great . Quote
Divine Posted October 24, 2014 Posted October 24, 2014 Very awesome Fig man.. I just can't get enough of the werewolf head on his head... that's just awesome man.. I'd pay to get a few of those done haha. None the less really great job man, you got some skills down your sleeve. Quote
ShiningOne Posted June 24, 2016 Posted June 24, 2016 This is amazing. I bet it was fun to come up with. Quote

Reviving older topics can be useful when it furthers discussion, but otherwise it just takes attention away from more current ones. Quote
Wardancer Posted June 25, 2016 Author Posted June 25, 2016 I don't know the policy for answering revived threads, but now that it is pushed up, I might as well comment... Thanks ShiningOne. I indeed enjoyed buying certain products for cutting out the goddess banner. Now whereever I walk past a certain coffee store with a big goddess logo in front, I think "Ha, Elven Army headquarters." SerenityInFire Posted July 13, 2016 Posted July 13, 2016 I think it looks great. Excellent work there... except that I can't get over that coffee logo used for the banner. Whenever I see this mini figure, I keep thinking he's some sort of coffee baron or something. I'm just wondering, did you ever consider making your own symbol for the banner? Quote
Wardancer Posted July 13, 2016 Author Posted July 13, 2016 Hi, glad you like it. Yes, I am considering making my own banner. Although I like the goddess, she should actually not be on the main banner, because the sigil for my army is the stag. Making my own stag banner would also enable me to use a shape which is not round. The current round shape is not perfect, I would prefer a triangle or rectangle. Quote
