Vote: Dagstyrr the Fool (Darkdragon)

From her general behavior and what Mursi has found, it sounds like we caught another one. Let's keep the momentum rolling.

I was ready to vote for Dagstyrr based on his behaviour in public alone. What Mursi says about his private communication with him only confirms those suspicions.

I'm good with voting Dagstyrr. His name and role claim was brought up in private, and Mursi's new conclusions about it now, make sense.

Vote: Dagstyrr the Fool (Darkdragon).

Suspicious activity, suspicious behavior, suspicious claim.

Cantue - It is nothing personal, but I find him always jumping at me whenever there is a viable opportunity presented to him and it is like I am accounting for myself in public and it ended up that no questioning of any sort come from him as well. A lot of poking at others, may seem town friendly just to stir topic discussion but I find him doing too much of that.

That's fair. I actually was intending to make a case against you on Day Three (and told someone as much), then all the stuff with Dufa got stirred up and we had solid leads on him, then Wary showed up neutral. I'm still wary about your claim, but by the sounds of it the block's pretty well organized and much more well informed, plus their leads are generally more solid. I'd still like you investigated at some point if it's possible.

Generally doesn't seem very interested and is sliding by. Especially with his weird claims.

Dagstyrr was on my list already for being quiet, though that's not necessarily a crime. Making a foolish claim to the wrong person, however, is. Maybe it's fitting to the name.

Let's not waste this time. If the scum have their way one more of us may be dead again tonight.

Baulf, you were pretty iffy about Dufa's lynch. What about the vote made you feel that way? Also, could you point out specifics in Patrekr's behavior that you find suspect?

Patrekr, you say you still find Neamr suspicious to some extent. I'd like to hear more about why.

 sorry town but you are being led by the scum. I defend myself anymore than I already did with all the same tired attacks.

I'll just add Mursi to the list of scum though. He's leading the town block and should know well and good I'm town, so nice job on being Jesus dude.

Town PR folks, if you haven't claimed to anyone yet, do not claim to Mursi. I suppose it's too late for us by now though.

There are so many to choose from, but this is by far the most dangerous to us now.

I think the one shot bodyguard claim is rather suspicious given that it was given under duress so I have no issue with Dagstyrr being voted out. His contributions haven't exactly been helpful.

That said, I really feel like we need to revisit the most suspicious thing that's happened here: Jarni's death. Now that it's fairly clear that Jarni was not killed by the SK, it's looking like it really was a scum kill after all. The only way the scum could've known that Jarni was the Tracker was if Lefsi or I told them, and I certainly didn't do that, or if they role copped him. What positive contribution has Lefsi provided? I haven't seen any. He has continued to sheep the rest of the group with his comments today, too. If he was town, then realistically, he ought to be coming after me today in some capacity. He's done nothing of the sort because he knows I'm not scum. I wasn't even in his top 3 suspects.

Patrekr is also on my list. Patrekr was rather obviously fishing for Lefsi's role after it became clear that Lefsi isn't vanilla. I can't imagine two scum doing such a thing, so I think that if Lefsi was indeed the leak, then Patrekr is cleared. The chance that Lefsi isn't scum keeps Patrekr on my list. He was actually next on my list after Dufa yesterday because of that behavior, but now that we know more about Jarni's death, Lefsi has jumped to the front. I think it's highly unlikely that neither of them are scum based on both behaviors.

I've already explained that I'm not a huge fan of bandwagons, since they mostly turn out wrong. I'm a bit concerned about this one too. About Patrekr, I just find some of the things that he had done earlier in the previous days to be a bit odd. Now he's not really pinging as much, but still enough to show up on my list.

I find it interesting that you and Patrekr keep bringing this up. If you're town, I think siding with him on any issue would be pretty toxic as just about everybody lists him as a suspect for being scum. I know he's my #1 for tomorrow for lack of doing really anything and he keeps fishing for info. Since I know I'm town and never even brought up Jarni's name to anybody, I know I am not a source of a leak. My personal belief is that you're town, and also not the leak. I believe that he was either role-copped by the scum Night 1 and then subsequently killed, or they got lucky with their target Night 2. I have no way of knowing either way.

Dagstyrr, thanks for making my decision easier with your last gasp of air. Here I thought you'd come out and explain your situation, but instead just flailed and attacked.

That's not what I did. What am I suppose to explain? I can't control what role I got, and the lovely Mursi outing me means I'll be dead anyway. I can't help with any kind of investigation so that means that my only means of helping has been totally destroyed. I've given you people my list of suspects, still calling me lazy and scummy? I've helped by risking my life to protect people, still called lazy and scummy. Great teamwork, town, just great. It's really no wonder we are doing as poorly as we are.

I do want the team to win, so I do hope that my lynch and whoever the scum kill tonight don't mean the end of the game. If there is one more day, i really hope everyone will take what I've been saying and lynch some of these scum that are leading the town. Spend some actual time looking over the attacks (especially the little ones like "he doesn't seem very scummy but he doesn't seem town") because those are the scum trying to gently push the town to take care of all the dirty work. There are some good players on scum, that's obvious to me and should be to the rest of you. Look at the one we lynched? Did he come out and blatantly attack anyone at any time? No. Gentle persuasion, that's the key here. Watch what they've done and see if you can find at least one more if there is enough time.

Thanks to my schedule, I realize there's no time for me to turn this around, so all i can do is hope you guy open your eyes. I doubt it's going to happen though.

Don't know, I guess his claim of having blocked Dufa never seemed really convincing to me. Granted, Dufa came up scum and all is good and well, but if Wilhalm is scum as well, then it seems to me that the scum team may have been trying to preserve Wilhalm and gotten Dufa lynched instead. Dufa already seemed to be under a lot of suspicion and may or may not have likely been the day's lynch even before Naemr mentioned the blocking. It could've been a convenient way for him to slip into the town's good graces. That in itself is all just a conspiracy theory or whatever, but he's also been pretty adamant that he blocked the scum kill both yesterday and today. Otherwise he tends to lack participation and sometimes seems to have a tendency to disappear when asked questions or when issues that relate to him are brought up.

Of course, he has a tendency to get on my scumdar in other games as well.

I know he's my #1 for tomorrow for lack of doing really anything and he keeps fishing for info.

Can't say you've been doing much yourself. Also, would you mind pointing out how I keep "fishing for info"? Colour me daft, but I don't see it.

Or are you just saying it because Finn mentioned it?

How does Dufa getting lynched help Wilhalm's case?

Took pressure off Wilhalm for time being. Don't know why they'd want to do that, and it's nothing I'd base a lynch on, but it's possible that Wilhalm had a role that was valuable to them and that they'd want to keep for as long as possible. :shrug_confused:

Dagstyrr's pretty much confirmed scum, didn't answer concerns and all that, was as vague as possible, blames time constraints well into the day...

I'll be watching as you eat crow tomorrow. I bet the scum team is laughing their megablocks off right now. As vague as possible? Hahahaha.

By the time i saw the bandwagon on me it was too late. That's why I haven't gone back and bothered to quote everyone and answer suspicions. It doesn't matter. I've stated my accusations and maybe /maybe/ the town will bother folowing up on them tomorrow...but i doubt it.

I don't know how likely it was that Wilhalm was going to be a lynch target yesterday. I'm not saying that I"m sure Wilhalm is town, but I don't think he was as suspicious as some would have been. For a scum to claim a role and point the finger at a fellow scum with the claim seems tremendously unlikely. That they would do this because a third scum might possibly have been lynched seems even more farfetched.

The sun was finally setting and the einherjar had come to a consensus.

1_zps7ef7aac6.jpg

Dagstyrr the Fool (Darkdragon) was deemed a servant of Loki, and was to be put to death.

2_zps75f8d1a3.jpg

"Wait," said Dagstyrr, reaching for a lyre, "if you truly have condemned me to death, at least let me perform my act one last time..."

3_zps198673c5.jpg

Elsewhere in Asgard, Thor and his companions were still in search of the stolen hammer Mjölnir.

4b_zps7edcfa80.jpg

Suddenly, from out of the wilderness came a group of Norman warriors.

"We do not get many travelers around these parts. Who are you?" asked the leader of the group.

"I am Thor, Warder of Earth, Killer of Giants, Friend of Man. My companions and I are searching for something that was stolen from us. Have you seen anyone passing through these forests?"

"We have not. You are welcome to stay at our hall for the night however. My name is Herburt Marred-Eye, and this forest is where my family lives."

5_zps41868631.jpg

Thor and the einherjar accepted Herburt's offer. It was not long before they arrived at the Norman hall and everyone was drinking and feasting.

6_zpsad82d333.jpg

"So," Herburt Marred-Eye began, "Thor, is it? What exactly is it that you are seeking?"

IMG_1131_zpsaf6e4cea.jpg

"Mjölnir, my hammer," Thor answered, "We had heard reports of giants in these woods, no doubt the vile workings of Loki. We thought we had cleared the forest of all of them, but last night, Mjölnir had gone missing."

IMG_1118_zps2b9fe9e9.jpg

"This is bad news indeed. Was this hammer important?"

IMG_1115_zps39481b78.jpg

"Yes. I use it to cave people's heads in. It's very important. I suspect the giants want it in preparation for their final attack."

IMG_1120_zpsc14031f6.jpg

"Final attack? Ragnarök, you mean?"

IMG_1123_zps4a30bef1.jpg

"Indeed. Odin warns us that it is nigh. Loki infiltrated our hall last year, and no doubt he will try to do so again."

IMG_1121_zpsb2a95357.jpg

"Loki... Yes... We once resided in the Halls of Freya, but Loki's presence began to seep into our lives. Many of our companions were driven to madness. We turned on each other, lynching our friends one by one. This is why we spend our days out here now. It is safe."

IMG_1126_zpsc0b90898.jpg

"Well, you are welcome to join us back at Valhalla. You have my assurance that you will be safe there."

IMG_1119_zps84a782cb.jpg

"No, Thor! You may think it is, but it is not. As you say, Ragnarök is approaching. We are safe here. We will never leave this spot. This is our family's hall. It has been ours for seventy years, and it will be such until we are all dead."

IMG_1123_zps4a30bef1.jpg

"But sooner or later, Herburt..."

IMG_1127_zps6ce9ff8f.jpg

"No! We too once played mafia games. Just like you. But in Midgard, we lose! In the fields of Fólkvangr, we lose! In the halls of Sessrúmnir, we lose! But here... here, we don't lose. This piece of land, we keep it! We never lose it! Never!

IMG_1126_zpsc0b90898.jpg

"You must learn this: you can never win... You may beat Loki today, but tomorrow, he will be back. Why can't you Valhallans learn from our mistakes?"

IMG_1133_zpsa5e888ba.jpg

"They can still win, uncle!" Herburt's niece interrupted.

IMG_1117_zps88d8e3cf.jpg

"No, they cannot," Herburt replied steadfastly.

IMG_1115_zps39481b78.jpg

"They can!" retorted the niece.

IMG_1137_zps6af22d51.jpg

"Can't."

IMG_1130_zps5a8ebb96.jpg

"Can."

IMG_1137_zps6af22d51.jpg

"Can't."

IMG_1114_zps2b82d4c9.jpg

"They can! With the einherjar Valhalla has - with their strength, their bravery, their smarts - you could win if you wanted to!"

IMG_1137_zps6af22d51.jpg

"... Can't."

IMG_1111_zps6c67d8b3.jpg

Meanwhile in Valhalla, Dagstyrr's final performance had just concluded. It was an exquisite extravaganza, the likes of which would never be seen again in the halls.

m1_zps3d86321c.jpg

It went on for hours, but unfortunately, all good things must come to an end. Just as things seemed to be getting out of control, Harald beheaded Dagstyrr and called for an end to the festivities.
