So, what is your favourite Lego part?

Mine has got to be: http://www.brickset....s/?part=4654582 as it is so versatile when doing SNOT work. It opened up lots more possibilities when MOCing!

What's yours?

I really am so glad Lego came out with the part you linked to. Way too many times in the past where I needed something exactly like that. As for my own favorite overall part, I'm not sure. Another new one which came out recently I like is the round 1x1 tile. Not exactly versatile but it does look better than the round 1x1 plate when you are trying to go for a certain look in a build.

You know a part I miss seeing anymore? Baseplates. Just about every City/Town set had 16x32 or 32x32 baseplates. Now all we have is an assortment of odd sized thick plates. The modular houses seem to be the only sets including baseplates anymore which is a bummer for kids I think. I used to go crazy building anything on those.

Besides any minifigure parts, it has to be any baseplates. I love baseplates. Sadly, they only appear in the Modular Building sets nowadays...

Mmm, my favorite Lego part will have to be, the thick missile that shoot out of the technic pins. I'm terrible with names, but I just love shooting those at annoying kids who won't stop touching my Star Wars collection

As a Classic Town fan, some of my favorite parts are the 3x6 skylight, slotted 1x2 bricks, the 2x2 mailbox, and the 1x4x6 window. I also remember loving the printed yellow wall panel from Black Falcon's Fortress. Any trans-yellow parts are winners for me as well. More recently, I like the X-Wing engine part used since 1999, the new arches from Elrond, and the 2x2 round plate with hooks.

But hands down my favorite part, which ironically you can't really build with, is the cypress tree. I actually gasped when I saw it the first time. Just beautiful. I really like all the LEGO foliage, but to me the cypress tree stands out as the best.

Some people might think me weird, but for me it's actually a pair of parts: The Car Doors.

But I typically hate using them as Car doors. Mostly because I'm miserably horrible and making automobiles. I like the fact that these doors lets me get nice, smooth surfaces, such as in my Robot MOC below:

See, there I used it to make shoulder pads, to fill and smooth out the ribs and knee.
