Hello Everyone!

Hello all! As you can see I'm new to the community. As such I have a few questions.

1. Where do general questions (like these) go?

2. I'm so confused by all the colors out there but specifically greys. What is the difference between new light gray and old light gray? What is a bluish gray? Are they all compatible as a solid color? (obviously not dark vs. light)

3. What is tan color? Is that what I would call sand color? (color of sand)

Being a complete rookie myself here, I do not know how to answer your first question. However, I recall coming across this image on Flickr showing the four shades of gray.

Welcome, glad to see your question on colors has been answered. When my family first got into LEGO a few years ago, we were confused when we purchased older sets/lots that had the different shades of grey. It was irritating but we were able to move past it.
