I wanted a pumper for Legoville, but it had to be very different from "regular" City fire engines, so I thought of experimenting with an eight-wide concept:

I draw this on LDD way before I had Legoville, so though I'm very pleased with the end result, eight-wide is too wide for regular road plates :sceptic:. But since I'm MOCing my fire station, it's a keeper :classic:.

This is really nice!! I think you need something big for that purpose, so although it might be too big for roadplates, I think it's the correct scale for the purpose it serves... There's so many really cool details in it too!! The water pump and all those little cupboards and hidey holes

Great work and happy building

Thanks guys! I really liked how it came out. And lightningtiger got it right: my inspiration was exactly those airport fire engines (like the to-be-released 60061), I love the looks of those trucks!

Great vehicle, the presentation is very nice, too. As a crash tender, 8w is a very suitable scale, I guess (although it will be quite hard to find a plane that can go with it ... )

I especially like the shaping of the front and that it fits 4 figs. The details, especially that water cannon, are very nice, too. The whole thing looks very playable.

Keep it up!

Thanks everyone!

One of my priorities when designing a MOC like this is to make it swooshable, so that my kids can play around with it without the risk of it falling apart. I also try to cram in as much "features" as I can, so realism sometimes gets set aside.
