I never thought about it but this is interesting! I know the directions vary but I had no idea the sets are slightly different!

Hi, I am trying to post this question to Lego Historian if possible.

I've been reading the thread about similar Lego sets getting different boxes in different regions..... but my question is a little different.

I recently came across sets with the same product number and same name, but the sets are a bit different (colours, stickers etc).

For example, I am a vintage castle fan and I'm currently looking at Lego Castle set 6080, and the common set I see is this one on the left in this picture...

However, when I was looking for this product, I also discovered one from France with the same product code (6080) but different colours and markings (the castle on the right). My guess is that this was simply a way to appeal to the French market??? But if so, why not  a different product code?

Just wondering you knew about this at all and is there other examples?

Cheers,

Joel
