Your building instructions seem to have been corrupted, LDD 2.0 refuses to open them.

I've had the same thing happen myself, with a model that was definetly made using 2.0 and should have worked fine. So I suspect its some kinda bug that TLG needs to fix.

Going on what I can see from the pictures I'll say that it looks a bit too expensive for what it is.

Being a modular corridor, most of the parts are relatively standard bricks, which means they can be purchased in either Tubs or at PaB for lower cost.

Maybe its just a psychological effect, since the actual part count is high... If there were more special design features or unique parts I'd be more inclined to purchase something like this.

I agree.

While it's fun to build these and I'll most likely buy a few they're way to expensive for LEGO to ever offer something similar at retail stores.

If LEGO ever did offer modules they would have to be constructed out of larger and more specialized pieces to cut cost and they would need to add a lot more playability.

I think a $14.99 price point for a single "X" module with 2 minifigs and a small vehicle would be more reasonable.

The Bridge module makes me wonder, just for fun if you were to sneak a passenger train car into a moonbase... how long would it take for someone to notice? :-D

Here's a $32.36 "Home" module.

The future of space exploration will be made with train parts :-D

The landing module looks... OK

Just add a little space flying scooter type vehicle without bringing the price over 15$ and it would be a winner.

There is always a lot of room for improvement on all the modules I've made. Right now I'm more interested in getting my ideas out for feedback. I hope I might inspire some other fellow 'builders' to construct their own compatible modules by downloading mine to modify and improve them.

It's actually a very old concept.

Moonbases have been around for a while, but my idea is to make them smaller, more affordable, and available through the LEGO Factory to download or purchase.

Most people don't have the huge amount of LEGOs needed to make some of those fantastic Moonbases seen at BrickFests over the years. 'Space City Spec' modules is my attempt to bring that incredible AFOL Moonbase standard to the masses.

Here's a new Space City- "Home" Colony Module:

Hehe no, I wasn't saying anything about your fantastic designs, I was just letting Stauder@55 know about the prolificness of the concept :-)
