December 27, 201311 yr Author Guys, thank you all very much! I'm so glad that you enjoyed it so much!!! I think that I have to do the building instructions at this point . During these days I have started to use LDraw, in a month I think I've finished the job. This is what I done for now. :) See You soon for the video! It would be nice if you could make instructions. And could you show what leftover parts are? Hi! These are the leftover parts. This MOC have about 1500 pieces :)
December 27, 201311 yr Absolutely beautiful alternate model. Yes, I too would love instructions, or even better, an LDD file.
December 28, 201311 yr Congratulations! You've done a great job! It's without a doubt a very clever proposal and the main reasons i like it so much are the fact that you didn't worry too much trying to use all the parts of the main model (I think your model doesn't use a lot of specific elements, whitch is very nice for people that doesn't have the 8110 but want's to build it!), it has very interesting functions and it is prepared to be powered with PF elements so it can be driven and steered! GREAT! I think Lego should give better and more options when it comes to big sets in the instructions. Even small-medium size sets like 8845 Dune Buggy had instructions for 3 models! Other example is the 8275 Bulldozer whitch alternative model should be considered as a third option and not as an alternative model. Edited December 28, 201311 yr by Tiago_C

I wonder if maybe Lego didn't include instructions for alternate models with the Unimog set because of licensing concerns. Since the main model was a Mercedes product, TLG or Mercedes might not have wanted a non-Mercedes vehicle as the B-model.
January 2, 201411 yr I agree with Fizzley, I got the Unimog (mainly for parts) when it was on offer but have not made it yet after 9 months. But I'd like to make this jeep.
January 2, 201411 yr Author Hello guys! Just to update you that in these days I'm working hard to complete the instructions. I have done half of the work: I think that in two weeks they will be ready!

January 9, 201411 yr Author Ok guys, here we go! For those interested, building instructions are completed and in the next few days I will have to check and test them. It 's the first time I realized building instructions with Ldraw, so I apologize in advance for any minimal errors. I am always at your disposal for any clarification! They will be available next week, in a pdf file, for 5€. See you soon with more updates! Edited January 19, 201411 yr by djshiver
January 10, 201411 yr My second Unimog is getting turned into this! Awesome work. Need to get some more PF elements so i can have it drive around. Ultimate 42009 has eaten all the rest of my PF parts.
January 10, 201411 yr Author Looks great! Will the instructions include on how to make it RC? If I can fix a problem with Lpub very gladly, otherwise I'll post here 4 pics showing how to make RC. However it is so simple to do!
January 10, 201411 yr Hi djshiver, Amazing work, and great job for doing instructions , I'm looking forward to them. I myself work on instructions for the motorized Unimog with automatic speed change from markus53. ( See this thread: http://www.eurobricks.com/forum/index.php?showtopic=57543&st=1525 ) Hope I'll finish it in next 2-3 weeks. Greetings Alex
January 10, 201411 yr Hi djshiver, Very awesome looking MOC. I've registered here, and bought the Unimog just so I can build it. How will you be accepting payments for the instructions? Thanks!

January 22, 201411 yr Author Hello guys! I'm really glad to know that you are waiting for building instructions! In the previous two weeks I could not do much because of work and flu. So...here we are!!! I think that by tonight I will publish on my new site (this also caused delay) the link to purchase via Paypal: building instructions will be sent to the payment address received to me. For any questions please do not hesitate to contact me! Thanks again guys for your support! :)
