Hello Eurobrickers,

Lately I feel the need to get my old castle sets from the attic and I have also started on building a Giant Castle, something I always wanted to do.

Since I was very young when I collected Castle sets, I didn't get a chance to build up a nice army, I have maybe 20 Lions figures and 10 Dragon masters, some Black Falcons and Crusaders 2, but just a handful.

Now my 2 Question is:

1. Of all the factions that are out there, which one should I get to build my army with?

2. What building technique should I use for my Castle? (In the picture you can see some of the building that I made in LDD that will be part of the Castle.)

Should I use the 2 on 2 technique or just go wild and use all kind of bricks like in the buildings?

Looks like you have a good start with these drawings

best way to army build for now is to buy those Kingdoms Chess sets you buy 3 and you pretty much have a great ''army''

Yeah, I was thinking the same thing, but I wasn't sure. I prefer the Kingdoms sets myself, but I also love the Black Falcons...

Easiest/cheapest army building is one of the current factions or kingdoms chess. But I like black falcon too. The downside is they will not be cheap. Certainly doable though, just take more money. I always liked the black knights even though they never had their own torso insignia. But it'd be easier for me to army build them.

send u a PM, Cyber

Just go wild and use all the types. Its good to see variety.

I really like the new dragon knights super cheap and easy to collect. Crown knights are the best of all time IMO. Reaserch historical castles and try to make one in a realistic scale. NO ONE builds in minifig perfect scale just about. Im working on a minifig-perfect scale Rochester castle in Kent england. It will be ready for brick fair in alabama in 2 weeks.
