Lord Of Pies Posted January 25, 2008 Posted January 25, 2008 What a curious set! I like it it even if the whole theme is a bit odd, especially the fact that the accessories are interchangeable with Lego bricks! The building itself looks interesting, I can't really make out the small details but at least it is brick built. Also what a funny name for a clone brand: "Oxford" :-D Quote
Icesaber Posted January 25, 2008 Posted January 25, 2008 OK, as I posted earlier in this thread, I managed to have a pic of the Vietnamese Ripp-off company products !! They actually look OK !! Next time my uncle goes, I will ask him for some sets hehe !! *yoda* That's the same brand. The words are Korean. Quote
iamded Posted January 26, 2008 Posted January 26, 2008 Wow! This is an amazing set! Those flame pieces and weapons are sweet! 8- Quote
hollisbrick Posted January 26, 2008 Posted January 26, 2008 these are rally cool for clone brands! If I ever go to Korea (which I probably won't) i'd get heaps of these! *wub* Quote
Ecto Posted January 26, 2008 Posted January 26, 2008 They have loads of these at my local TRU! They look great *sweet* And sometimes better than Lego. :-( Quote
Starwars4J Posted January 26, 2008 Author Posted January 26, 2008 Nice review, yhanks for that Starwars4j! *y* This brand seems ok, i love the military stuff *wub* Glad you liked it :-) Are they the same height as Legos? yup! They have loads of these at my local TRU! They look great *sweet* And sometimes better than Lego. :-( You do? Where do you live? These don't get exported out of Korea...they're very hard to find even there. Are you sure it's Oxford and not another clone brand? Quote
TheFrisian Posted January 26, 2008 Posted January 26, 2008 As a bit of a LEGO purist, clone brands kinda go against my principles. But I do have to admit that this set doesn't look half bad. I especially like the cloaks, would be great if LEGO had a part like that for cultists or monks. Out of curiousity I visited the Oxford website. Some of the castle sets looked mildly interesting, but in my opinion there wasn't much variety in the sets. At first I actually had the impression that the same set had been listed multiple times, until I noticed that there were some minor changes in the details. When browsing further, I noticed it was similar for most other sets as well. Quote
