Horatio-Caine Posted December 27, 2013 Posted December 27, 2013 (edited) It has been a while since I have shown anything, I'll admit I don't think this one is anything special, it is more filler if anything, although because the Star Wars windscreens went together well and the drill weapon on the front was ok, I suppose a craft is a craft at the end of the day and I found it passable enough at least to make it a nifty fighter. I am however looking forward to showing what I have coming after this over time, as I am much happier with them, it's only just about to get better, and if I can get POV-Ray to work as said before in other threads then even better. Anyway, I present this time the Blacktron Stealth. Original Vintage Yellow Space Shots Enjoy! Edited February 15, 2014 by Horatio-Caine Quote
TheOrcKing Posted December 31, 2013 Posted December 31, 2013 (edited) Love it, buy it, build it! This is like that one dream design I've always wanted. Edited December 31, 2013 by TheOrcKing Quote
Horatio-Caine Posted January 1, 2014 Author Posted January 1, 2014 Thanks! Glad you like this one too, the next one I'm just about to announce. Happy New Year! Quote
LEGO Train 12 Volts Posted January 5, 2014 Posted January 5, 2014 This ship looks full of power! I like the nose and the rear engine! Quote
Laura Beinbrech Posted January 5, 2014 Posted January 5, 2014 Excellent! Especially the one with the yellow trim. Fits the old, classic (and IMO, only TRUE) Blacktron color scheme perfectly, while using current LEGO space design and build techniques. Quote
SpaceNinjaDino Posted January 6, 2014 Posted January 6, 2014 How can you guys tell him to build it when that windscreen has never been released in trans-yellow? Quote
Horatio-Caine Posted January 6, 2014 Author Posted January 6, 2014 (edited) Thank you for the replies, glad you like it. How can you guys tell him to build it when that windscreen has never been released in trans-yellow? It is possible to make color changes via certain dyes, they do the windscreen in a clear transparent version so putting that with the right dye in yellow would work, I also read somewhere about someone using a certain type of color pen of some sort to make this very type of windscreen yellow. It was one of those Blacktron SLAM miniships it was done on I think, it is on FlickR. In other news, I am also when I get the chance planning to replace the current pictures with newer ones of the POV Ray rendered model, I'll be doing this to all the previous models I made pre POV Ray (apart from the first one which I brick built) and will update the thread pictures accordingly over time for each. Who knows some of the models may get made for real but right now that's not possible. Edited January 6, 2014 by Horatio-Caine Quote
