Pyropetepete Posted December 28, 2013 Posted December 28, 2013 (edited) http://shop.lego.com...Listing=listing So she's now on sale, we have seen a few reviews, time laps builds, photos. I've ordered my one (might order a few more). It has power functions but no remote. My ideas... Remote Control Steerable front nose wheel Lights What are your ideas? jantjeuh Posted December 28, 2013 Posted December 28, 2013 Buy two, and make a bigger version out of it? 4 engines, twice the length, etc. Quote
D3K Posted December 28, 2013 Posted December 28, 2013 A working rudder shouldn't be too difficult.. Also, making it bigger, more c-130 like, and add guns to the side and a Fulton recovery system and make it a Combat Talon Quote
Pyropetepete Posted December 28, 2013 Author Posted December 28, 2013 Buy two, and make a bigger version out of it? 4 engines, twice the length, etc. This is tempting.....just 2X on it all Quote
nicjasno Posted December 28, 2013 Posted December 28, 2013 The white panels would be nice for vehicles (f1 cars, e30 :P ) Quote
bekesizoltan Posted December 28, 2013 Posted December 28, 2013 Variable pitch propellers and working rudder would be mine choices. Quote
piterx Posted December 29, 2013 Posted December 29, 2013 this is what i'm gonna do with all those white parts ;) Quote
allanp Posted December 29, 2013 Posted December 29, 2013 Working rudder and fake piston engines for the props would be my first easy mods. Then maybe steerable nose wheel and alterable blade pitch control then most difficult would be full set of working pilot and co-pilot flight controls for rudder, elevators, ailerons and so on. Quote
skylinedan Posted December 29, 2013 Posted December 29, 2013 Yeah C-130 gun ship :) I see a 109 Howitzer and maybe a couple vulcan guns for good measure, LOL. Quote

Pyropetepete Posted December 30, 2013 Author Posted December 30, 2013 Well, what are you waiting for? I'm only getting ideas. Never done a moc before. Also my cargo plane too be delivered. Just had 42024 delivered Quote
JunkstyleGio Posted January 4, 2014 Posted January 4, 2014 I can't wait to get my hands on the 42025. Reading the BI made me wonder why there aren't any windows in the fuselage. Maybe one of these MODs will do the trick Quote

Theo van Vroenhoven Posted January 4, 2014 Posted January 4, 2014 (edited) this is what i'm gonna do with all those white parts ;) You are going to sell the white parts and buy this used car? Edited January 4, 2014 by Theo van Vroenhoven Quote
TinkerBrick Posted January 4, 2014 Posted January 4, 2014 Though i will wait to get the plane until i can get a good discount on the MSRP my ideas would be: • remove the lifting mechanism for the nose as this would be rather uncommon for a plane of this size • working cockpit joysticks and pedals (i am thinking about the flex system here • working rudder connected to steerable nose wheel Quote
Final Exit Posted January 4, 2014 Posted January 4, 2014 (edited) I built mine last night, superb model, I think it needs quite a bit of modding though. Edited January 4, 2014 by Final Exit Quote
Kronos Posted January 4, 2014 Posted January 4, 2014 Looks like a nice set. I'm not totally against stickers, but this one has WAY to many. Mike Quote
Final Exit Posted January 4, 2014 Posted January 4, 2014 (edited) You're not wrong, this is a massive sticker set, just under 60 if I remember correctly, none cover any joins though so not too bad. Here's a better image. Edited January 4, 2014 by Final Exit Quote
Junpei Posted January 4, 2014 Posted January 4, 2014 Final model looks very nice! But those windows look really tacky. I'm not going to buy this set myself, so I'm looking forward to see what you guys improve in it. TLH Quote

shadowhearth Posted January 4, 2014 Posted January 4, 2014 I probably buy this set, but it will be for parts so I don't have to worry about the stickers anyway. In fairness, I see this set only as an massive collection of white parts. I will wait for it go down in price on amazon. Dont understand me wrong, it does look nice, but price... ouch. Quote
