I thought I would finish this year with a bang!

So I am very very pleased to present my Technic version of the Patria AMV (Nemo Version)

This is the biggest, baddest MOC I have ever made, and probably will be for a long time!

I have been building this MOC on off from the start of the year, so I am very glad that it is finished!

Its functions are:

4x XL Motors for propulsion

1x Servo for steering

3x M Motors for Turret and Rear Door

3x PF Lights

Full Independent suspension

8x Ansmanns 1.9” Tires

“Twin” 2 Speed Differential Gearbox

Specs:

71cm (L) x 21cm (W) x 27cm (H)

5.6KG Weight

Very cool! It looks a lot like the real thing.

I like the studded surfaces. The studs make it look like it has active armor.

Great build. Reminds me of the American Stryker Armoured vehicle. I love the studded covering, you've put it all together very well and I would love the see some picture of the chassis. Good video too.

I see you used CV joints for driving the wheels. Aren't they weak for 5,6 kg in terrain? How can do it an uphill stage? 5,6 kg is a really serious weight.

I think he modified the with little brass rods.

Man, this is just awesome! I love the studded panels, and it drives really fast! The suspension works really well too.

Very nicely done ... and I do like the 3rd party tires.

Though, in all honesty, the studded parts give it an old/70's look yet the functionality is commendable. Kinda like modern military vehicles, rather 'rough' on the outside, but very sophisticated on the inside. And I'm sure all on here are very divided when it comes to studded vs. studless.

This MOC was so much hard work. hehe, and pulled something in my back...

I think he modified the with little brass rods.

I didn't end up using the brass rod CV in this model, as the diffs usually gave away before the CV snapped! haha.

I will take some pics, but the diffs in there now, are very very very wore, probably will never be used again!

This MOC was a huge experiment for me, the chassis was half studded and half studless, as I tried to learn how to design with studless.

its very stiff tho!

I cracked 2 black 8070 hubs in the process of filming, so never really went "off-road" as it was becoming too expensive! haha

Any ideas what I can do with all this DBG plating???? Next MOC???

You said you used both studded and studless, and my question is: It seems the studded is primarily for the 'skin' of the vehicle while the body/structure (from some limited shots) appears to be primarily studless. Is this correct or there is more to it?

As for 'recycling' the various shades of gray ... I believe those are in high demand with people building castles and medieval scenes ... or possibly star-wars in this case.

Yes the Chassis is half studded/studless. I will take some detailed pics when I dismantle.
