Gee Posted December 30, 2013 Posted December 30, 2013 My plans are pretty modest - get to grips with Technic again after my dark age and make a crawler and a GBC module. Quote
legomuppet9 Posted December 30, 2013 Posted December 30, 2013 A complicated compact tank, and a complicated supercar. Hopefully i won't get too distracted and make too many other things, of which they can be found on my blog under "Future Projects" Quote

Lakop Posted December 30, 2013 Author Posted December 30, 2013 Awesome thread idea! I really like what I have seen here so far, very exciting! I'm really looking forward to seeing what you guys come up with! I would like to take the Reaper design to 8x8 or 12x12, not sure if 3 NXT would do 12x12 tho. maybe 4 NXT on 8x8 would be cool, with 4 servos!! other project slightly I have started are, -Ford Model T -Ford GTHO (Aussie) -RC buggy with lipos MAN these designs are amazing! I look forward to your ideas. Infact, I look forward to all the ideas here. H We have a lot to look forward to. Planes, trucks, gum ball machines, cars, loaders, cranes, bikes, the list goes on. I hope we all can make some time to build and continue presenting here. H Quote

dr_spock Posted December 30, 2013 Posted December 30, 2013 I have been building trains lately. On the Technic side, I plan a couple more GBCs when my LUG events season starts again in 2014. We should come back to this thread a year from now and see. Quote
NevynPA Posted December 30, 2013 Posted December 30, 2013 I'm hoping to make a Technic Shay steam engine this year. If I'm lucky. Quote

technicfan Posted December 31, 2013 Posted December 31, 2013 I really want too get my Cat 957 scraper built, and a 42009 Xl version. Also like to build a crawler latice crane on the same scale as the 42009, and a Cat D - 11 dozer. I,m sure there are some more, but that's what comes to mind right now Dan Dan, can't wait to see that scraper. I hope to do a Challenger tractor with a pull scraper, a log trailer for my 9397 log truck (starting soon), a house moving trailer for my 8258, a tractor pulling truck and tractor and a race truck. Aswell as buying a few older sets. Quote
Jim Posted December 31, 2013 Posted December 31, 2013 I wonder if Jim could help us come back to this topic halfway through the year as a reminder. H I will put a reminder in my Calendar to make a half year assessment. And I have changed the title to "2014 Building Itinerary" Quote
Seasider Posted December 31, 2013 Posted December 31, 2013 (edited) Enter as many competitions and fun events as possible. Although Jan/Feb Air is unlikely for me as im going to be working away from home for a while and then moving a big distance. Across the country to a new. Job around march time. but hopefully i can get the collection to hand at some point especially as i recently bought 2 helicopters (8068 & 9396) and would use bits of them for my air build Edited December 31, 2013 by Seasider Quote

Ti-Max Posted December 31, 2013 Posted December 31, 2013 -Finishing my Subaru impreza wrx sti -Making a motorized ski-doo for my TT -Building something for my MAN cab -Building some sort of mobile crane -Building a space shuttle -Maybe a 4 axes CNC machine using NXTs Quote
quilkin Posted December 31, 2013 Posted December 31, 2013 To actually finish a MOC .... seems that too often, I get 95% of the way there and get stuck on something. So I put it aside waiting for inspiration. Meanwhile I get an idea for something different and start something new. The original idea lies around getting dusty (and sometimes has parts removed 'cause I need them for the new idea.....). Is this a common scenario, or is it just me? Quote

The original idea lies around getting dusty (and sometimes has parts removed 'cause I need them for the new idea.....). Is this a common scenario, or is it just me? It's definitely not just you. I do this a lot, and not just in Lego. Sometimes I get stuck on the last 5%, and sometimes the last 5% just isn't interesting enough to hold my attention. It might be genetic, too. Years ago my father renovated my parent's kitchen. Removing the old cabinets, designing and building new ones, and installing most of them took a few weeks. Putting on the last couple of finishing touches took another couple of years. -Finishing my Subaru impreza wrx sti -Making a motorized ski-doo for my TT -Building something for my MAN cab -Building some sort of mobile crane -Building a space shuttle -Maybe a 4 axes CNC machine using NXTs I hope you can finish the WRX and share photos! I wanted to build one but abandoned it (my CVT design failed and I have very few blue parts) and would love to see someone else's effort. Quote
