Hi, I can't believe after just passing my mid-forties I'm buying and "playing with", ahem "constructing models out of" lego!

It all started with an innocent look around in my local stockists - who happens to sell by weight.

After buying half a cup to build a model of my '93 Fiat Panda I have somehow in a few weeks ended up with a 8110 unimog and an order in for lots of power functions kit from lego themselves (after a lot of internet searching and coming up with nowt), not to mention a kilo or two of loose stuff :classic:

I live just outside of York in the UK (there's a good chance I will be visiting the new official lego store in Leeds soon despite it being 30miles away!) and apart from technic lego I also like the real version of the car I'm trying to replicate in miniture (I have three of them!).

I really am just searching about on the net for advice and building ideas for my technic panda project, and although it's been already built brilliantly by another, I'm chomping at the bit to get all my ideas together once I have enough of the right bits and pieces :sweet:.

I did buy the unimog to use as a kit of parts, but now it's built can't bring myself to break it.

I'd like to say that scaled down Fiat Panda building is cheaper than the real thing but I can see it being a close run thing.

Just a note on the name - my panda is a Fizz - taken of course so now I'm a cross between the famous Sisley model andmy chosen moniker.

All the best

Hi fizzley and welcome! Its crazy how you end up with tons of Lego in just a few weeks after starting with it. Same thing happened to me, i got overwhelmed by how many new sets there were.
