ChrisBricks Posted March 7, 2014 Posted March 7, 2014 These Sets look very interesting ill definitely get a few! Quote
marv Posted March 7, 2014 Posted March 7, 2014 The ejection seat of the "Inferno Interception" vehicle is awesome =). I probably have to get that set now... Quote
Algernon Posted March 7, 2014 Posted March 7, 2014 This theme is probably the most exciting to me this year. It's zanny but it really appeals to my inner little kid. Some specific thoughts... Tank with hands - I love this set, it's so weird but it's so charming, and that bad guy figure sells the whole thing. Closest we'll probably ever get to a true LEGO tank, as well. Tron car - At first I didn't dig this as much as I wanted to but it's growing on me, I love the color scheme and the Inferno figure alone almost makes it worth it... still $29.99 is a bit much. Helicopter attacking the lab - LOVE the design of the chopper, really unique. As always the figures are great. I even love the scientist guy. This set is pretty high up on my list. Hurricane walker/plane thing - Holy hell this thing is sweet, I absolutely love the transforming function and most of all the hull design. Just awesome, can't resist. Giant truck - Actually this is my least favorite of the bunch. The semi truck thing never appealed to me really. I bought the old Agents truck and wound up selling it. With all the other great sets coming out for Star Wars this year I'll probably have to give this a pass. All in all though, this theme is likely to be my stand-in Sci-Fi theme. Quote
Im a brickmaster. Posted March 7, 2014 Posted March 7, 2014 How much you wanna beat the minifig with grey hair is Agent Chase from the original Agents? Quote
PenPlays Posted March 7, 2014 Posted March 7, 2014 How much you wanna beat the minifig with grey hair is Agent Chase from the original Agents? I was considering that. It can be amazing what six years can do to ya... Quote
Kalhiki Posted March 8, 2014 Posted March 8, 2014 Ejection seat? The Infearno Interception just got that much cooler. I really have no issues with the set at this point. Though I wish they used trans fluorescent blue (they have that, right?) instead of regular trans light blue. Just think what that'd look like under black light. Quote
Lyichir Posted March 8, 2014 Posted March 8, 2014 That ejector seat looks amazing and makes me feel a lot better about the Ultra Agents theme (since one of the best parts of the previous Agents theme was that every set was packed to the gills with hidden play features). I wonder if there are similarly subtle features of any of the other sets that we've missed? Quote
Amset-Rah Posted March 8, 2014 Posted March 8, 2014 I think we may have a shoe-in for best theme of 2014 along-side The Lego Movie line. Every one of these sets are a must have in some aspect, be it the design of the set, the minifigures, the play features (Like that ejector seat), et al. Lots of useful pieces for customization (Infearno's headpiece can be used for a purist Ghost Rider or Dormammu easily) and all in all it looks like a fun theme. I too wonder if there's any little details that only an in-hand appraisal will reveal, like more hidden, if small play features. I will say that the Agents HQ is a little lacking compared to the 2008 one, but I still think it's a good set. I myself am more interested in the rogues gallery, which are all unique and not rehashes of the old Agents villains. What I feel's missing kind of is the sort of old school James Bond/spy aspect that the other had an inspiration from. It's a small nitpick, but seeing as one of the main agents does have a sort of James Bond look to him, I'll let it slide. That and the aforementioned ejector seat is classic Bond stuff. All in all, I'm pretty pumped, and I can hear my wallet crying already. Quote
gunm Posted March 13, 2014 Posted March 13, 2014 Hm, most of these sets I don't care for, but I do like Infearno Interception. A little disappointed by the Mission HQ. I missed out on the previous Agents mobile HQ and was hoping this would be a better version of it, but something doesn't sit right with me about it for some reason. Quote
ShadowWolfHount Posted March 13, 2014 Posted March 13, 2014 (edited) You know what, the Hurricane Heist look a lot like something we have seen before, more of a up graded look of a set "that don't look like this", I'm just saying it look like something we have seen before. How much you wanna beat the minifig with grey hair is Agent Chase from the original Agents? That would be awesome if he is one of the original Agents but I would like if they use the old Lego Agent Torso recolor in Black but that unlikely to see that happened. Alpha team Beta Posted March 14, 2014 Posted March 14, 2014 I really like this theme, yet the hq is disappointing I was hoping for more of a building. Quote
Fritzy Posted March 15, 2014 Posted March 15, 2014 Same here. Hopefully they invent one down the line. Quote
Toby Adams Posted March 16, 2014 Posted March 16, 2014 (edited) Same here. Hopefully they invent one down the line. But the Agents are depicted as being mobile, aren't they? (Plus the Villians are normally in a building hideout) Edited March 16, 2014 by Toby Adams Quote
Faefrost Posted March 21, 2014 Posted March 21, 2014 I really like this theme, yet the hq is disappointing I was hoping for more of a building. There was an official Lego published alt build for 8635 the old Mobile Command Center, that rebuilds it as a building HQ. maybe there will be one for this one? Quote
Peppermint_M Posted March 21, 2014 Posted March 21, 2014 I am still looking forward to new hair colours and all the trans-liteblue because I have a number of icy MOCs in the planning stages... Quote
rzetlin Posted March 21, 2014 Posted March 21, 2014 The blue translucent piping reminds me of Tron. Quote
Pigbrick Posted March 22, 2014 Posted March 22, 2014 I am still looking forward to new hair colours and all the trans-liteblue because I have a number of icy MOCs in the planning stages... Having some unique hair colours are always welcomed! I have to admit, I'm really looking at getting that pink hair wig. It feels like it's been a while since we've gotten some oddly weird hair colours. There had to be some after Exo-Force, right? This isn't the most recent... correct? Quote
obsidianheart Posted March 22, 2014 Posted March 22, 2014 Collectible Minifigs had a few odd ones, and Dollar Bill from Agents 2.0 had green hair. Quote

PenPlays Posted March 22, 2014 Posted March 22, 2014 (edited) Alien Conquest Research ;) As amazing as that would be... I wonder if they'll explain how close Astor City is in relation to Lego City. I also wonder if they have 25 different fire/police stations, and vocations that only lie within state services... Edited March 22, 2014 by Penkid11 Quote

It goes Astor City, Gothem City, LEGO Movie City, and then LEGO City. (I'm just making that up) Quote

(I'm just making that up) *Gotham And the Lego Movie city is called Bricksburg. And to be quite honest, if we don't get any real location, we're all gonna be making up where all these cities are located. Quote
Bricktimus Posted March 24, 2014 Posted March 24, 2014 I really like these. Not sure exactly how many of these I will get but there are definitely a few 'must haves' for me there! Quote
