This posting battle really is just2good!

The amount of J2G puns I've seen lately are---

agh

-Sci

I just hope it doesn't get out of hand or if not it will be Just2Bad!

I know, they're jus-

You know.

Oh gosh, dem puns. This is reminding me of my pun streak of 2012. You doughnut want to know how that ended.

Back on topic though, I forgot to mention that the dude in the $20 Tremor Track set, Tremor, is shown in the promotional artwork (which is pretty preliminary, more so than the sets) as having a granite helmet/body armor piece (it's all one thing) and the gorilla fists from Chima. Additionally, two Agents are shown wearing tuxedos- one of them is a female who has that ponytail piece I made a parody song about last summer in bright purple!

Keep in mind the promotional image was very early, but still.

Disappointing that Inferno is MIA and instead we have Infearno, but his description sounds pretty cool. That's one aspect that I'm enjoying with this wave, is that it seems the villains have some great personality. The original Agents line had some great attention to detail with the minifigures, and I hope to see that trend continue in with the new wave. I haven't looked at many of the prelims that are slowly being leaked out, but I did see the mobile command center or "agents HQ," and I'm looking forward to seeing it in greater detail. Agents always had some hidden features with every set, I hope they show that care for detail this time through as well.

It's not nearly as bad as Huw said... I mean it's not great, but these are just preliminary pics and it's likely going to change. Also prelims for new themes usually change way more than an already well established theme (city, etc.)

From the sound of it, it seems like the villains are going to be more unique in their individual style instead of following one motif like the last group of baddies. As much as I was happy with the last agent sets I do like more individual looking villains.

Professor Christina Hydron (which had a very final image of her in the left corner of the book, she looks great- uses Ginny's hair, has big goofy high-tech goggles on her face, and a white lab quote over a dark blue sweater).

If that stays, she will EASILY be my favorite figure from the line! She sounds adorable

Warning: silly supervillain jokes and cliches ahead.

Yes! Female supervillains* and (possibly mad?) scientists! Muahahahahah *continues on and on and on* haha! This sounds great. I will have to pass. Good thing those two figs come in otherwise horrible sets, so I have an excuse to pass on them. Hurricane Heist is...interesting. Very interesting (*evil wink/eyebrow twitch*). I need to see more of it before I can decide on it, though, but it's design is unique and brilliant, leading me to believe one of the wing halves was the front at first. The agents HQ is not the best set ever, to say the least. I'm a fan of the colorscheme, and the small mech isn't the worst (better than some main vehicles of Chima sets), but the shape is horrible. If I'm going to end up buying it, it's going to need some interesting and useful parts or recolors first. 70162 sounds nice, what with the minifig accessories (I can never have enough Galaxy Patrol armor pieces and the surfboard sounds excellent), as does 70161. I'm guessing the beige vehicle is Tremor's, and I hope the claws turn out to be some sort of ground-pounding device (could be a nice chance to implement a sonic theme, a la Tesla's Earthquake generator).

*There seem to be two toxicity-themed henchmen (Adam Acid and Retox) in this wave, so we can assume she's the main bad guy! Great move LEGO, and I'm proud of your design team for once.

I'm not sure about that Hurricane Heist. Feels too organic. LIke something out of Chima or Ninjago. The two Agents' vehicles look fun though.

I see the squre with the word "mission" around the Astor guard figure. Is there a mission behind each set? I don't see that anywhere on the other boxes. Just curious.

My apologies "TheLazyChicken" but your flickr images seem to always show up halfway for me and my computer (which has recently stopped the abilities of emoticons and quotes to an extent) won't let me view your albums. Would it be much of a bother to ask you to PM me the images? The bottom half that I did see had a lot of bills however, so I'm assuming these missions won't be the banks best friend?

Also, so glad to see these villains are getting a more individual approach. I liked how Monster Fighters had all of the villains working for the same cause, but in their own ways, and they didn't look uniformed. One thing I haven't really always liked about Ninjago is that it was always just the Overlord with some army (that's not to say the armies weren't great however!). I can understand why Lego may want to avoid it, but I just really hope we get "independent" villains this time, basically working for the same cause but not in a "minion" sort of way.

Ugh, these prelims are all turning out so ugly, which means I'll be really blown away by the finalized product. Thanks for the image Penkid, I look forward to seeing how this set grows when we finally see it arise in quality.

Awww, seems like he can't find the Infearno set.

What do y'all think of this set?

A little odd, actually. Definitely not the first on I'll get. The big fists are a drawback in my opinion as it doesn't really match the style of the vehicle.
