Kintobor Posted May 10, 2014 Posted May 10, 2014 (edited) Really digging a lot of the sets in this wave, and I gotta say, really love Toxikita, her cronies, and the set she comes in. The whole green, blank like eyes on one side and the normal eyes on the other makes me assume she gets jacked up on toxic chemicals and probably has immunity to them as well. I'm going to assume Adam Acid is one of her lackies, based on similar looks and what not. Also really loving Terabyte, with the keyboard on his gun and the punk-esque jacket, the Space Invaders alien on his shirt, and the head piece. Just an awesome job in general. GregoryBrick Posted May 10, 2014 Posted May 10, 2014 Thanks for the reviews; these are the two Ultra Agents sets I've been most interested in. The Riverside Raid seems like one of the best smaller sets in recent memory - and I think the buggy is as compelling as the jetski. I also think the Data Unit is quite cleverly done. Quote
KotZ Posted May 10, 2014 Posted May 10, 2014 Yup, just found them in my local Toys R Us, as well. Quote
Fritzy Posted May 10, 2014 Posted May 10, 2014 ^ It's a bit hard to tell, but I think the Hurricane Heist set has been priced incorrectly. Quote
sithewok Posted May 10, 2014 Posted May 10, 2014 These sets just look better and better. I can't wait to get my hands on them. Quote
Echo Posted May 10, 2014 Posted May 10, 2014 Got Tremor and Toxikita. Building Toxikita now. FYI, her copter is Keetongu yellow, not plain yellow. Quote
KotZ Posted May 11, 2014 Posted May 11, 2014 ^ It's a bit hard to tell, but I think the Hurricane Heist set has been priced incorrectly. This was at Toys R Us which marks everything up, so that could be it, but it probably is priced wrong either way. Sorry I couldn't get a better picture. At first glance, I was kind of put off by the sets, and really am only looking forward to the mobile command center set, but looking at the reviews, they're starting to grow on me. Quote

That box must have been misplaced, as TRU is selling these new sets at MSRP for now. Quote
Maniac4Legos Posted May 11, 2014 Posted May 11, 2014 Yup, just found them in my local Toys R Us, as well. Which state or country? In north eastern USA we get them on time and no sooner. Quote
Pigbrick Posted May 11, 2014 Posted May 11, 2014 just2good, can you tell me if the Tremor armour was in a tiny plastic bag or not? I'm kind of picky when I hear people have a negative reactions to the China elements especially when I don't see an issue with them anymore. I just cannot recall if the Tremor armour was done in Hong Kong or not. Quote

Maniac4Legos Posted May 11, 2014 Posted May 11, 2014 It was not in a bag. A bag like the Friends pieces right? I call it the unique molds bag. Or like the hood for Wyldstyle? Quote
KotZ Posted May 11, 2014 Posted May 11, 2014 Which state or country? In north eastern USA we get them on time and no sooner. Texas. Which surprised me, I've found new sets usually aren't around until two-weeks to a month later except in the LEGO stores. The only time I can remember sets being sold before their release date in my area was 2006 with Exo-Force which were out very late November, a month before scheduled release. Quote

Thanks for all the positive feedback, y'all! Quote

obsidianheart Posted May 11, 2014 Posted May 11, 2014 Even though I said I wouldn't, I went by my local TRU yesterday, and.... They didn't have any new stuff in. My wallet audibly breathed a sigh of relief as we left empty-handed. Quote
8BrickMario Posted May 11, 2014 Posted May 11, 2014 (edited) My TRU had the two new Ninjago sets but not Ultra Agents yet. Edited May 11, 2014 by 8BrickMario Quote

Thanks Just2Good and Echo! I was lucky enough to grab the HQ Truck. Man, the cab is far more impressive when you actually hold the thing! Plus I was happy to be able to finally get the Professor Hydron figure Quote
Takanuinuva Posted May 11, 2014 Posted May 11, 2014 Toxikita's Helicopter has http://www.bricklink.com/catalogItem.asp?P=10288 in Black! After all the times they used the dark brown version. Now to get as many of that piece in black as possible. Quote
Faefrost Posted May 11, 2014 Posted May 11, 2014 The TRU by me had all of the Ultra Agents sets and about half of the Arctic ones. No signs of Ninjago yet. Up close most of the Agents sets look great. The only one a little disapointing is the Mobile Command Center. It's a great set. But looks a bit awkward when folded up. It lacks the complete cohesion of the original. It reminds me more of the World Racers Dessert of Desolation sets truck. Quote
Echo Posted May 11, 2014 Posted May 11, 2014 Any chance you might put a classic skull in the armor? I'm curious to see what it'd look like. By the way, I don't know if this is already known, but Toxikita has a double-sided head. Quote
8BrickMario Posted May 11, 2014 Posted May 11, 2014 (edited) That makes Toxikita look a lot better. The double-sided head might reflect an origin story or a split personality she's trying to control. Good to see the Retox henchguy as well. Does anyone think 'Kita's exposed midriff makes the curves printing look awful, though? And, by Bricklink colors, is her hair regular Green or Bright Light Green? Edited May 12, 2014 by 8BrickMario Quote
8BrickMario Posted May 12, 2014 Posted May 12, 2014 I just noticed the really clever "toxic symbol" detail that looks like a skull-and crossbones. LEGO really put a lot of effort into this theme. Quote
Echo Posted May 12, 2014 Posted May 12, 2014 Since Solomon Blaze is an agent, we can assume that this theme takes place far into the technologically advanced future due to the presence of his younger self in Galaxy Squad. I'm not saying anything new there, but it does bring up an interesting thought. Why is Toxikita still using a helicopter centuries in the future? A bit archaic, don't you think? Quote
