Wow. These minifigs are gorgeous. Probably some of the best I've seen. Psyclone is just crazy cool now that I look at him. And the missing eye is just an amazing bonus. Infearno also does not disappoint. Beefy suit. Flame head. Everything.

Can't wait to pick some of these sets up.

Also, I could see the flame head being repainted trans light blue for a new Mr. Freeze. Like his appearance in The Batman cartoon.

Even though The Batman minifigs would only be used in customs, I was thinking the same thing. Infearno's face is awesome but horrifing as well, since it looks legitimately burnt. Again, I like the slightly darker minifigs.

Psyclone's is rubber, so it should come in a tiny bag. Tremor and Infearno's special parts don't.

Thankyou Echo, that will be handy to know for me I was just asking since you mentioned that Psyclone's tubes on his helmet were rubbery, but that seems to fit with LEGO's tendency to move away from smaller parts bagged individually I think.

In your view, does the Mission HQ offer the best value for the cost in terms of longevity/play possibilities? Do you feel it ties everything else together (i.e., story, other missions, villain encounters) and, therefore, it would feel like you're missing something without it?

I'm sure that strictly as far as playsets go, it has no competition this wave. Yet I'm wondering how essential it is (if it is) and if it really adds cohesion to the line, and if it's a set you need to appreciate in full form -- maybe there are hidden or obscure touches? (That last one doesn't need answering, but if you choose to, a simple answer will suffice -- I like finding surprises on my own.)

Also, pretending you paid the Canadian price of $120, do you think it's a stretch for what you're getting (and what you could get/save towards instead)?

I think it is good value. It is a very solid main base and it offers more playability than most bases since it is a vehicle also. I'm not really sure that you HAVE to own it, but given what little we know of the story, yes, it does tie most of the other sets together. It also does give the Agents at least a small chance to defeat the much better armed baddies whereas they are pretty much doomed without it. I'm not really sure what you mean when you ask if one needs "appreciate in full form." If you're talking about Terabyte, he's pretty superfluous to the set. His mech is tolerable yet bland, although Terabyte himself is a great figure. As far as hidden or obscure touches, not really. The microscope is nice, the white double-barrel Alien Conquest blasters are cool, and the use of Mixels ball joints is welcome, but I don't really think there is anything too unexpected. And finally, that is still a good price. You get a lot of stuff in this set, so paying extra is justified methinks. I would NOT buy this first though. Get Infearno and Psyclone first. Combined, they are the better purchase.

Interesting. Thanks for answering my questions. I'm quoting the above because I wasn't expecting you to say Hurricane Heist is worth buying before the HQ. It's too expensive for me (which isn't to say the HQ isn't, I just mean for the content), but I'll take note. My plan is to get Infearno + Riverside Raid first, then further down the line consider buying the HQ. By then I'm hoping I can find it for cheaper.

Toxikita could be D. Zaster's daughter. Of course, the "edgy" look might not please him. I would be disappointed if there's no continuity nods to the original Agents themes. HH is my least favorite of the bunch, but I still want them all.

Actually I am still looking for some backstory to connect the two themes even vaguely. That would make me happy since Agents was one of my favorite themes in 2008 :)

I would buy the van, the interception and maybe the smaller sets. But the van is something I'd like to experiment with and see all it's functions firsthand!

I've set up all the sets on my shelf and the look fantastic together, but you are correct in that I think the base would look good free-standing as well. It's a huge black semi truck. It's got serious presence to it.

I can confirm at Lego stores. Several people on Brickset have also sighted the Ultra Agents sets at their nearby Lego Stores as well.

What do you mean? She's exclusive to her set, and LEGO always has hero characters in sets with villains. If we get a second wave, it's likely to be new villains.
