3rdeye88 Posted March 25, 2014 Posted March 25, 2014 where have you seen it? I didn't even realise season 2 was airing in English yet. I don't think I'm able to get it on TV, have you been watching it online somewhere. I've had no luck finding season 2 episode, other that terrible quality tv rips in a foreign language. I torrented them. Episode one and two are both on piratebay and kickasstorrent.com. They were good quality to. Quote
Aanchir Posted March 25, 2014 Posted March 25, 2014 Brown isn't really my thing, so I wouldn't have found a Spider interesting. A Scorpion, on the other hand.. But the best thing for me would have been the tr. bright green details. Imagine bones in that colour. Really hope the new sets are released in the end. Those tr. light blue bones were gorgeous. I'd love more Transparent Bright Green weapon/blade pieces, myself. We have lots of Tr. Blue and Tr. Red ones from last year's Chima constraction sets. But in Tr. Bright Green all we have is the sword from the end of Black Phantom's mace and the sword from Rocka in the Brain Attack series. Quote

PenPlays Posted March 25, 2014 Posted March 25, 2014 For those of you who are looking to watch the TV series, but you missed them on Cartoon Network, or you don't want to go through piratebay, you can find the episodes here. You can also move all TV show discussion to here. Quote

More of any of those colors would be nice. They're trans colors but they end up being kind of milky and simi-opaque, so really anything else that further has that look would be nice. But agreed more trans bright green to supplement the Black Phantom sword and rocka swords would be nice to. And I'd love to see some diversification, orange and purple maybe? How awesome would trans purple weapon pieces be? Quote
CabooseBM Posted March 26, 2014 Posted March 26, 2014 I'm still awful sad about the cancellation news, man, we could have had dark tan* shells! Dark tan*!! At least we're still getting the dark brown* torso shell from the large mammoth set, and the keetorange* paws from that Lion Mecha. One thing I won't miss is those opaque "transparent" colored weapons, if they stick to colors like silver* or gunmetal* they're fine, but the "transparent" ones are an eyesore. I guess the saw blade would've been cool. *Aanchir can go through and correct the plastic color names if he'd like, I can't remember them off hand. =P Quote
DraikNova Posted March 26, 2014 Posted March 26, 2014 Looking at the press guide, Chima Constraction isn't in it . Damn. Quote
Gatanui Posted March 26, 2014 Posted March 26, 2014 (edited) Looking at the press guide, Chima Constraction isn't in it . Damn. What press guide? EDIT: Nevermind, I got it. But wasn't this known quite some time ago? It's part of the reason why Andrew chose to investigate. -Gata Edited March 26, 2014 by Gatanui Quote
Agent Fusion Posted April 14, 2014 Posted April 14, 2014 Hmmm, I just find it strange that they were so far into development before being cancelled. Can someone remind me of the cause of cancellation? Quote
bacem Posted April 15, 2014 Posted April 15, 2014 Hmmm, I just find it strange that they were so far into development before being cancelled. Can someone remind me of the cause of cancellation? at the moment, we still don't know. Quote
Agent Fusion Posted April 15, 2014 Posted April 15, 2014 How odd, maybe we will never know. Maybe it will be like that one Spiderman set that was never officially released, but people still managed to get hold of it. Quote
Jetrax99 Posted April 15, 2014 Posted April 15, 2014 Hmmm, I just find it strange that they were so far into development before being cancelled. Can someone remind me of the cause of cancellation? The whole cancellation thing is just a rumor from an employee who stated he's most likely wrong about it. No official word has been released on the figures since Nuremberg. Quote
Infernum Posted April 16, 2014 Posted April 16, 2014 I really hope they'll be released. How many of the new pieces do you guys think were molded before they cancelled the sets (if they are cancelled)? Quote
VBBN Posted April 16, 2014 Posted April 16, 2014 That's a bit hard to tell. From my knowledge, a majority of toys shown at toyfair are not yet in full production; A limited number has been made for events, testing, etc. Bionicle always had prototype/painted/temp-cast parts, and even now we see inconsistencies; The cocoons for the summer IFB sets are different shades in Nuremburg vs New York. The parts look pretty finalized, but how much money they spent so far must be small in comparison to how much additional they think they could make by allocating that production money to a different theme(s)- Hence the explanation that they want to focus on other themes. I've seen a lot of people saying it's stupid for them to be cancelling a line that is already made. The amount of money they currently have invested in these sets is likely minuscule compared to the overall cost that the full production would actually cost. And being so far in development may be strange for Lego, but again this is likely not the first time toys have gotten this far in development and been cancelled. McFarlene toys who make the Halo Action figures cancelled universe wave 3, after announcing and advertising the line. I recall there even being images of the future figures on products that were currently out, yet the figures were cut before they were released. (And what a damned shame it was- I really wanted that wave) What puzzles me is the actual monetary concept of this. Lego has done quite a few one-shot sublines to the "flagship" constraction lines, of course including Ben 10 and SuperHeroes. They were a one-year deal and my guess is the high prices due to licencing killed the massive sales they may have wished for; Chima isn't too far out of the standard HF price range, but I want to know what exactly they were expecting if they cancelled this because they saw the after-xmas sales of the first Chima sets and thought "No, better focus on something else" If they expected them to do better than HF then it may have been a long shot, yet I think the issue here may be just that mindset. With every one-shot line, there's no growing or expanding, you can't expect to develop your line and get a fanbase for it if you just cut it because the first round wasn't what you were expecting. I'm not speaking for the majority here, but even from this topic it seems that there is more hype for these figures than the first wave received. The recolors have a part to do with it, but still. Of course lego has their 'experts' on the matter and my opinion spirals more from my rage of the recolors i'm missing out on, but some things like this are quite mysterious. Quote
dviddy Posted April 16, 2014 Posted April 16, 2014 The whole cancellation thing is just a rumor from an employee who stated he's most likely wrong about it. No official word has been released on the figures since Nuremberg. The word from the LEGO employee was not that he was probably wrong- the line has been canceled, that is official word from TLG as passed to an ambassador. It is not just a rumour. Quote

bacem Posted April 16, 2014 Posted April 16, 2014 The word from the LEGO employee was not that he was probably wrong- the line has been canceled, that is official word from TLG as passed to an ambassador. It is not just a rumour. After Toy Fair this year many people asked why we didn't have any pictures of the Chima constraction sets, or ultra builds as some call them. The answer was that they were not on display in New York, despite having been shown at Nuremberg earlier in the year. So I began a quest to get an official answer as to why that was. While this information is not final and may change, it would appear that this year's Chima constraction sets are not going to be released in order for LEGO to focus on its other themes. Do not expect to see them on store shelves in North America or any region. If and when I receive any updates to this, I'll be sure to let you all know, but that's the way things are looking right now. Quote
Agent Fusion Posted April 16, 2014 Posted April 16, 2014 this information is not final and may change, So only time will tell. Quote
VBBN Posted April 16, 2014 Posted April 16, 2014 That statement does not exactly classify a rumor. The cancellation is/was most likely a topic that was debated, and what that employee relayed is what he believes the decision was; "Not final and may change" is the possibility that the lines may be released at a later time, but at the moment the sets will not be released- The absence of the sets in retailer catalogues means that the sets will at least not be released for third and fourth quarter of this year. And given that the system sets will have moved past that years theme, I wouldn't hold my breath. And as for this, who stated he's most likely wrong about it No such thing was ever stated. There is a difference between a vague answer and false information. Quote

Shakar Posted April 17, 2014 Posted April 17, 2014 If nothing changes, I just hope we'll have more chances to see transparent bones (the second shortest size is still coming in Crystal Beast, but those two sizes aren't enough, you know..). At the very least we're still getting the new armour add on in gold in Queen Beast (it's on her back for those who don't know- I myself didn't notice it until someone pointed it out). Oddly enough, gold was the only colour the Chima sets used as well. It's as if, ironically, they already had the feeling the line would've been canceled. The abundance of new parts and recolours points to otherwise, however. Quote

Agreed. More tr. blue bone pieces would allow me to make larger versions of the Kaiju Queen's wings much more easily and effectively. That saw blade recolor would have been useful for Agents MOCs and such. And there were so many more parts that could have been just plain perfect for MOCcing. Quote
