Absolutely. All the civilized tribes of Chima are humanoid, including other originally-quadrupedal ones like the lions, wolves, crocodiles, and rhinos. And I don't see how any non-humanoid mammoth could wield an ice mallet.

For Mungus I'm thinking a bulky character, like Hulk or Gorzan, with Raw Jaw feet. Panthar, a tweaked Laval/Worriz, Vardy a tweaked Eris/Razar (I wonder what "decorated leg armor" means?). No idea how Laval and Cragger could change from their 2013 versions.

Fluminox could be like the other birds with with bigger wings and a taller frame. Sir Fangus has a cape (hopefully Furno's but in a different colour, maybe white to keep the ice theme?), so he might have a build similar to Furno XL (it CAN be done, he had 103 pieces, close to Fangus's 97).

I also except the new feet HF's Beasts introduce to be widely used.

I wonder if we'll get new weapons? HF this year is lacking melee weapons, I'd like a new blade at least, and some cool recolours.

I do hope they leave out the Raw Jaw feet completely this time around and go with the new HF Kaiju feet, those seem to fit the system much better.

As for the jaw function of Panthar and Sir Fangus, given that they're both felines, I think it's possible that they use the same mold for their lower jaw, but each with a unique upper jaw mold.

Hopefully they bring some new things to the standard Laval/Worriz, Eris/Razar, Cragger and Gorzan builds. I do hope we don't get something Technic-heavy like Furno XL, but instead something along the lines of Gorzan or FJM if they do try the broad shoulders thing on Fluminox or Sir Fangus.

I don't like the Raw Jaw feet very much (though I managed to make them work fairly well in a MOC of mine), but they're the closest thing to elephant feet we have. Beast feet might work too though.

Your theory on the jaws makes perfect sense.

I hope we get new designs as well (glad I'm not the only one who thought of FJM's body build). And I agree, I don't want to see much Technic.. as I said elsewhere, it's not that I hate Technic, but HF based sets should use it as little as possible so to not hinder the CCBS's growth. Sadly, given Fluminox's wings feature (thank you Leewan for pointing that out), looks like we're getting more Technic gimmicks.

Now though, I'm really curious about the colours of the tribes. Of course I'm not expecting the figures to religiously follow their minifig counterparts, as budget limitations tend to replace the quirkier colours with more widely used ones (in the constraction realm): Laval's tan became gold and Eris's royal blue was replaced by the far more common bright blue. But, still, I'm hoping for some interesting colours. No tribe has used azure on the minifigs so far (only Gorzan's Striker did), right?

Wow. I'm guessing the wing-function is going to require some technic-heavy work, although, considering some past "functions" (the cockpit comes off? Really, that counts as a function?) it could just as well be a simple HF/Eris-style build. Laval and Cragger could have jetpacks to match their figures in the Scorpion playset vehicle, although that would probably be mentioned in the description. I'm guessing the Chi orb function is simply a molded chest piece (although an armor add-on would be better for MOCs), possibly with a pin hole in it to allow for removal without having to do so manually. Panthar is probably a sleeker version of the basic build, although some strange shoulder armor is probably to be expected.

I wonder what the weird claws mentioned throughout the descriptions are? If they're just the Raw-Jaw claws, they will include new fire and ice minifig-grippable pieces; if not, they're molded with fire/ice patterns, although LEGO could do both. The Phoenix Flame Crossbow is probably a simple technic build or, more likely, a zamor/meteor launcher/plasma blaster, maybe with some extra stuff to connect it to the figure's hand. The flippable spikes sound like they use a minifig-grippable joint; maybe the Bulk 3.0 armor add-on and a Bruizer armor add-on for the actual spikes?

Hate this. In 2013 Chima constractions were used as an excuse not to ship HF in here. This time I really care about the 2014 HF sets, wouldn't like it to happen again.

I'm excited the first wave of these apparently were successful enough to get us a second wave.

(As far as shelf-warming goes, having worked in retail at a Target, stock often gets replenished nightly, even if it's just one or two sets from the backroom, so while it may look like shelf-warming, the possibility exists that the sets are just being cycled in after a purchase.)

A brown Stormer XL chestpiece seems the most likely for the mammoth, although the ice theme might just mean another white version. Or, if we're really lucky, a tr. light blue one.

Oh this looks great, we desperately need more pieces in these colors! Just hope they won't have to use too many existing pieces in these colors.

I have the feeling that trans-orange and trans-light blue armour is going to be a key element in the hero and villain sets. Especially in the case of Flummox the Pheonix.

That's probably how they're going to be, but honestly I'm sick of tr reddish orange shells. I know it's not going to happen, but I would love to see tr red or tr flame orange pieces.

But they're going to use that boring colour anyway. I just hope it won't look tacky.

Laval wears red clothes, while Sir Fangar has white fur and tr. light blue arms. Both wear gold armour.

After seeing that pic, I'm 99% sure the ice villains in their CHI sets feature tr. light blue cladding. What about the fire based heroes? Luckily, it seems the (IMO) tacky and unnatural looking tr. reddish orange is being avoided. It would awesome if they got tr. flame orange instead (which actually looks like real fire, and was mixed with tr. red in te so called Pyrox flames..which looked gorgeous BTW) but shells in that colour don't exist so I doubt we'd get them now. And, I hope they aren't drowned by red shells- that would suck.

Edit: Cool! Looks like those chestplates have Zamor spheres inside them to represent Chi orbs. Take a gander at those new translucent bones and hands! So many recolors! So many new parts! IT'S TOO MUCH!
