January 3, 201411 yr Because he is having phone memory issues LOL.. My generic LG Cosmos is probably the ONLY thing in my house that doesn't have any recordable capabilities... However, everything else in my house can capture video... Hell, I think our new toaster came with 16 GB of flash memory.. Edited January 3, 201411 yr by Paul Boratko
January 3, 201411 yr However, everything else in my house can capture video... Hell, I think our new toaster came with 16 GB of flash memory.. Thus giving new meaning to the phrase 'recorded on a toaster'.
January 3, 201411 yr pictures don't seem to me like shopped... maybe he's not using lego propellers....that's all :)
January 3, 201411 yr Audio-Recording Toaster ? ... Let's see if I can top that off! I went to a furniture store few days back and the kids were having fun with the recliner beds (where front and rear lift for apparently a more comfortable sleep experience). The salesman was explaining (to my son) that he can adjust the bed's tilt with an iPhone .... oh but wait!!! At the upper end ($6000+), those beds come with built-in speakers and you can route your music collection via BlueTooth and he demonstrated that to us. I walked away after telling the salesman I'm waiting for the DeLuxe version (due next year) ... with Bose speakers and a Skype/Webcam-enabled recliner bed ... Back on topic now ... January 3, 201411 yr Seems he is making lots of excuses Flying Dream Tian : fly battery is dead so far 2014-1-3 16:46 Reply Zangland : Reply Flying Dream Tian: about how long? 2014-1-3 16:50 Reply Flying Dream Tian : I once made ??up nearly half an hour 2014-1-3 16:54 Reply Zangland : Reply Flying Dream Tian: But why not take some pictures of it? So long, then? 2014-1-3 17:27 Reply Flying Dream Tian : phone memory problems Fly battery dead, phone memory problems.... That battery can easily be switch with a DC adapter tho. Also focus your attention on the battery pack and cable in the picture. If this thing had any force flying up at lest there would been some instability with these parts. You just don't get a clear picture like that when stuff is in motion.
January 3, 201411 yr Guys, don't be so naive. IT'S FACT, IT'S FAKE. Blakbird has right with the stability, but it doesn't matter, if it flies for 2 seconds, then it can fly. BUT: I write again: a single M motor has 1 W power. With that you can't even raise the motor's weight. And this thing is heavy. Very heavy. The creator simply lies, when he says, it's made with 100 % Lego and there is no modification. pictures don't seem to me like shopped...maybe he's not using lego propellers....that's all :) --> I can only quote Darth Dino: "Even with a high resolution camera and a very good lens at perfect focus point it is hard to see in the final image a thin Nylon string, fishing line. It is just a pixel or something wide in the final high resolution image. If you clone the neighbour pixels over the string carefully AND reduce the resolution down like this image, you will never see it."Non Lego propellers doesn't increases the power, which is needed to raise this weight. The propellers can increase the efficeincy of flying. Again: M motor HAS 1 W OF POWER. Power is the keyword. There is physic, no wonders. Edited January 3, 201411 yr by Mbmc
January 3, 201411 yr So, he said he used only Lego parts. Only 2 pictures, he is not doing video of it. He is making instruction of it. Sounds like some sort of "taking a piss" in fairness. I am no expert, but even from picks it looks like that a good few people could manage to replicate it? I know no pictures of rotars them selves, but surely people can just try them? Not that many of them out there.
January 3, 201411 yr I'll post this loosely related mostly off topic video here just for the sake of it.
January 3, 201411 yr Okay time for my opinion... I used a single RC motor with zero gears and education blades and IT barely lifted itself with 2x higher voltage. 2x higher voltage means 2x higher current which means 4x the power....So to lift its own weight the motor was using some 24 watts of electrical energy!!! And now you are gonna tell me a single unmofified M motor can lift itself (simillar weight) using all those gears and using only 3 watts of electrical power. Edited January 3, 201411 yr by Zblj
January 3, 201411 yr @aol000xw, that bike is cool :) I think I found our guy in Germany testing his new contraption :D
January 4, 201411 yr Maybe we took a wrong approach to explain the picture. Maybe it is flying but less in an aerodynamic way but more in a ballistic way. We should see this as a way of a decelerated fall (the power of the M-motor working against gravity, regardless of the efficiency of the blades). It is flying backwards to earth basically. January 5, 201411 yr This is very very fake. I tested my best guess of the setup, and even with the insanely fast ungeared motors, it didn't work. Unless we get detailed pictures, and or a video, my opinion will stay the same. I tried testing my version with the rotor heads below, which is my best guess. I used the two blade variant. I'm wondering, are there any other blades that could have been used, like 3x11 panels, and would adding more blades increase lift?
