DickesC Posted December 28, 2014 Posted December 28, 2014 Thanks again to Zblj for designing such a monster and make the .lxf available. So i've build a Black&White-4LiPo-SBrick Edition of it. Here it is: I've so much fun with it driving outdoor ;-) Quote
Milan Posted December 28, 2014 Posted December 28, 2014 One Sbrick can't handle more than 2 XLs? Quote

So i've build a Black&White-4LiPo-SBrick Edition of it. Here it is: [media] I've so much fun with it driving outdoor ;-) That looks really great! I can imagine the Sbrick giving you a lot more control. One Sbrick can't handle more than 2 XLs? I think the problem is in power supply. While I think the Sbrick can handle more than 2XLs, the power supply (battery box) cant. Quote
Milan Posted December 28, 2014 Posted December 28, 2014 I think the problem is in power supply. While I think the Sbrick can handle more than 2XLs, the power supply (battery box) cant. Then why 4 SBricks? Quote

Yes, control with SBricks is very accurate And you are right, the limitation is inside the power supply, not inside the SBricks Then why 4 SBricks? Because i have to power 8 XLs. Two XLs with one LiPo. I think i can not link 2 LiPo to power one single SBrick Quote
Zerobricks Posted December 29, 2014 Author Posted December 29, 2014 One suggestion. i think the unimog's hubs would work better for you here than my own built ones, since you are using technic racing wheel rims. Quote
vliet Posted December 29, 2014 Posted December 29, 2014 I have to post pictures of my Fox soon (I finished it in august a few days before our son was born), it has power puller wheels but within a few days I have 9 of those huge green dirtcrusher wheels so than I'm going to rebuilt it and make new pictures. Twelvebears Posted March 7, 2015 Posted March 7, 2015 Had a conversation with the guys a SBrick and you can just stack the power cables a connect x2 Lipo packs in parallel to each SBrick. So you could manage with 1 less. Alternatively you could use a modded Lipo pack to avoid the current limiter Quote

I don't quite see how that would work since afaik the power cables are design in such a way to prevent what you are suggesting. Edited March 8, 2015 by Kelkschiz Quote
zux Posted August 6, 2015 Posted August 6, 2015 Sorry for bumping the topic, but couldn't pass without sharing some pics and noting how powerful this truck is. I have it built for like 4 month and it still doesn't stop to amaze. It climbs everywhere until there is a grip. Just in case you see it pictured in uncommon place or position - there is no need to move truck manually to position for cool shots it can do this on its own. Another thing that I was surprised - efficiency. Batteries last for much longer than in 9398 set. Amazing job Zblj! Some pics from LUG aniversary: Some other pictures from recent event can be found on our LUG's Flickr. Cannot wait till winter to test this beast on snow now Quote
Zerobricks Posted August 12, 2015 Author Posted August 12, 2015 These kinds of posts make me really warm and fuzzy inside, I love it when people build play and like my models. Thank you! P.S. New offroader coming soon Quote
zux Posted August 12, 2015 Posted August 12, 2015 (edited) P.S. New offroader coming soon Great! Same wheels? Btw, I remeber some people wanted to compare this one with Madoca's Tatra. Luckily one of other LUG members has built it so both were available. Madoca's truck is very good, but you just cannot compare Fox and Tatra. Fox is just much more powerful and less picky terrain it needs to travel due to having 4x more power and less gears between motors and wheels, which means less friction too. 2LegoOrNot2Lego... Posted August 13, 2015 Posted August 13, 2015 Completely missed it, again an amazing job!!! For you there really are no limits...none at all!!! Quote
Imanol BB Posted August 13, 2015 Posted August 13, 2015 ZBLJ, will you make the 12x12 version, because i saw it at brickshelf and i got amazed how good it looks, and i thought it would be even more amazing with some third party tires, and also, i really cant believe it can pull a real car, i think this is the best lego offroader to the date; keep building awesome things, you are a very talented builder. ;) Quote
