Posted January 3, 201411 yr [pid][/pid] 243A I'm pleased to present you my very first Pirates- related MOC. I hope thats the correct forum here on eurobricks to post that build. It features a few conquistador minifigs so it's technically based in the Pirates theme. As said before I really hope it belongs there if not to the Historic themes. The scene shows a day at the court of a Spanish nobleman during the era the New World, better known as South America, was discovered. I hope you like the MOC, comments are welcome!
January 3, 201411 yr The use of the yellow arms as sleeves is a clever way to turn the yellow torso into one suitable for fleshies. I may try the same thing to use fleshie torsos with yellow heads. Also, great moc! Edit: Consider crossposting to historical, as this certainly fits there as well. Edited January 3, 201411 yr by 2maxwell
January 3, 201411 yr I was about to comment how clever it is to use yellow arms to make a yellow torso work for a Licensed skin tone. I will definitely look into that since there are so many great torsos in yellow. Keep up the great work.
January 4, 201411 yr I like this. Simple yet very effective and the way that the minifigs are put together is simply great. Some great ideas especially the reversed and separated legs to give that down-on-bended-knee effect.
January 5, 201411 yr I really like the female minifigure. She reminds me of the old Errol Flynn movies.
January 10, 201411 yr Very nice, I love it a lot! As for the question where it belongs: I think it's really hard to say as the timeframe you're referring to could be done in both forums. I'm actually building the ships of the era (caravels and carracks) and have the wip topic here, whereas I post the final result in the History (GoH) forum. I guess both is fine, and in the end you may possibly recieve more feedback here, as the general History forum is being flooded by LOTR stuff.
January 21, 201411 yr Nice. I really like the door, and the vegetation: mushrooms, vines, etc. And the stained glass window is a nice touch as well.
