OOC: I imagine it would fit in a lifeboat, Tarn was able to carry it from the Doc's lab.

"I don't know how to save the Princess, U'Voros!" shouted Tarn, "Arthur will look after her. We need to get this machine onto the lifeboat!" he says, indicating that the U'Kin should help himself and Pretzel get it onto a lifeboat.

The Captain hefts a cannon up into his hands as he responds to Pretzel.

As if to affirm the Captain's claim, the enemy ship fires again and the ship rocks once more. The heroes look around. The lifeboats are no where to be seen

OOC: Is Tarn not allowed to use the Unlucky Horseshoe because in this battle it wouldn't be 'retrievable'? Does that mean the only ranged weapons we have at our disposal are Pretzel's Flying Cross broomstick and Captain Lane's cannon?

This was all new to Tarn, the sheer scale of the battle was daunting but he knew he must protect those he had sent down below. As he barked out orders, he thought of Atramor calling the shots in his previous Quest, and wished he had his friend here to help him through this. He put that thought away and focused.

"U'Voros, can you help Daneeka with the machine (back row?), as you have no ranged weapons that can help us here. I will attack Cannon A from the back row using the Unlucky Horseshoe, in the hopes that I can ravage all our foes and Jinx them. I am Lucky at the moment so there is a chance.

Captain Lane, can you attack Cannon B from the back row. Monk Pretzel, if you could do the same against Cannon C, then those are the 3 heavy hitters we need to make sure we aren't allowing free hits from, or this ship is doomed."

"We can't just strike at the cannons. We don't deal that much damage and they have their repairmen who will probably heal them up just as quickly as we can damage them. We have to find a different position from which to launch our offensive. Perhaps you should attack a cannon with your Horseshoe and I will attack the same cannon in hopes that my guardian angel will show up to project us."

I think back on my Guardian Angel. I wasn't always appreciative of her in the past, but I certainly needed her now!

I drink a Smelling Salts and then fly forward and strike at Cannon A from the Back Row, unless Tarn confirms that I should do otherwise.

What does "Takes Command" refer to?

OoC: "Takes commands" means that either of you can give him direction! :thumbup: Tarn will have the final say as he is PL, but I doubt you'll disagree all too often. Will run the round shortly!

OoC: I returned Pretzel's action to his original action, I hope that's okay! Also there's no need to include the ship in your battle order! Also realized that I forgot to include special damages for the enemies... whoops. For now "damage" and "special damage" will be treated as the same thing (which will negate any special guards, my apologies) - something to amend next time I use the mechanic!

I believe "Jinxed" lasts the whole battle. :wink:

I attack Cannon A with Flying Cross (Back Row).

If I did not get a "Shield" on first attack I repeat.

Otherwise, I use a Smelling Salts on Captain Lane, barring any other orders from Tarn.

I laugh and rejoice as my guardian angel hovers over us keeping us safe from damage.

"I never thought I'd be so happy to see that unclothed beau...spirit. Let's see how long we can keep her around."

I attack Cannon A from the Back Row with my Flying Staff.

I repeat if I don't roll a "Shield" the first time around. Otherwise, I use a Smelling Salts on Captain Lane, unless Tarn tells me otherwise.

"Lane, it may be better if you target one of the other cannons to limit the amount of damage our ship takes this time around. What do you think Tarn?"

I suddenly catch sight of Tarn's halberd.

"If I found a blacksmith who could place one of those hollow handles in my weapons, it would be very useful for fights like this."

"Well," I'll think about that. I prefer slightly more versatile weapons that I can use in any fight. Healing is more my thing anyway. I'm actually thinking of getting rid of this sword." I tap on the Muckraker. "I've hardly used it and it's too heavy for me to use consistently. I think you should both focus on Cannon A whilst we have the Monk's Guardian Angel with us. Without any archers or maintenance crew we can hopefully whittle the cannons down without taking much more damage. U'Voros, take a rest, I will help Daneeka with the machine.

I don't think the Maintenance Crews should have repaired the cannons, because you know, they're overboard or something. :look:
