I agree with Mephek. While both themes do have their merits, I think that Hero Factory is an improvement on Bionicle. First of all, while Bionicle's story was in-depth, Hero Factory's allows more 'space' for making custom storylines. On top of that, the new building system is magnificent. Who knows how many unique creations can be created with just those little plastic parts. However, when Hero Factory ends, let's hope Lego sticks with the new system. I'd hate to see it go.

I definitely agree. This building system is great, and has plenty of potential even beyond the Hero Factory theme. I fully hope and expect for it to continue to be used even after the Hero Factory theme. If it ever IS replaced with a new building system, I hope it'll be one that's even better, with all the advantages of this building system and then some.

My opinion is HF has more movability than Bionicle, but Bionicle has more various colors and armors which represent action figures' element. Like Glatorian (did I spell wrong?) and legend, I want to buy all 12 of them because they are too cool, and I miss Skrall... That's not the point... However, I love the Rocks in Break out wave and stormer in Brain attack wave. But really, look at HF, heroes' masks look alike in different waves and Furno's fire blades keep coming out again and again. Can they just came out another?

Is this meant to be a bad thing? Look at the Mistika and Phantoka lines, sure, they were cool, but at first glance you wouldn't think they're returning characters. If they didn't say they were the Toa Nuva then I would've still thought they were new Toa.

I think it's good they are sticking to a basic design for the helmets, that way many fans of the franchise will be able to recognize the heroes.

Yes, that is true, but in bionicle, people still can determine the characters by using their colors of element. Also, they gave me the idea of revolution, just the the Brain Attack, these heroes can put on the cover of their head. I mean their helmets don't have to change a lot, and still can let people know who that hero is.

Except when the colors of their element change between appearances (such as with Pohatu Phantoka) or when two characters share the same colors yet are different (such as Toa Hordika Vakama and Tahu Mistika). The Brain Attack masks were excellent at maintaining visual motifs from the characters' older masks while updating them. I love the consistency in character appearances of Hero Factory; I only wish the story media like the TV episodes were more consistent with their actual characterization.

I totally agree with this. As good as Bionicle was, I was always so confused as to if they were robots or somewhat organic creatures. Obviously the look of them was robotic, but the setting and storyline presented them as life forms and that always confused me as a child. Perhaps it was meant to be Cybertron-esque. (If anyone is able to confirm if they were robots or if it was never revealed, please let me know, it would save my 10 year old self a lot of relief!)

I find the parts in HF are better and less prone to cracks and damage, as I found most Bionicle parts were. Even though I do miss the stories and imagination of Bionicle, Hero Factory just does it for me.

While I agree with some of the negative points presented for Bionicle, I don't think them to be as severe as you perhaps see them to be. They're definitely still problems though. :P

And I also agree with the positives for HF.

In the end, Bionicle is still my favorite theme, but I am by no means opposed to Hero Factory, which is not far behind.

They were biomechanical. Most species in the GSR were about 85% mechanical and 15% organic, and the original species (from Spherus Magna) were something like 90% organic and 10% mechanical, due to implants, if I remember correctly.
