Hi fellow Eurobrickers!

Two weeks ago I bought my first 9 volt train and some tracks, so the time came to make a suitable station somewhere along the line.

This is my first attempt of making one (I never made a trainstation before, there is no need to without any trains...) and I am quite happy about the way it turned out.

The station, loosely based on the station from lego in 1991, features two ticketboxes, a waiting room, a controlroom on the second floor and of course a platform with benches, departurelist and trashcan.

The platform is not long enough to accomodate the entire metroliner, it's sticking out on both ends, but otherwise the proportions wouldn't look right.

No particular reason for the name G

Looks good, I also think adding a different colour would be nice :-)

I like it, it reminds me of Lego's old red station, but with more of a late 70s-early 80s feel.

Got any shots of the backside/inside? I'd like to see it.

Very nice, with a comfortable classic LEGO Town flair.... *y*

Both sides of the exterior are visible in the pictures, I haven't made any from the inside because of the closed structure. There is just a bench, a flowerpot and a small ticketbox inside, maybe I take some pictures of that later.

I tried to capture as much as possible from the eighties look.

I am going to make a stairway and bridge to another platform on the otherside of the track, just like the 7822 station from 1980. I just lack the 1x6 plates for the stairs right now...

I really love this station!! Sure, it is red but I think this looks fine when the station is part of a town. A few tall green trees either side of the station and some flower boxes would blend it into a city scene fine. Nice job.
